Festive circle!

I reached for one of the simplest of the basic shapes for our "Back to Basics" theme this week - the circles grab bag. The realy sturdy board makes these perfect for stand alone items like this Christmas decoration.

I've added the year so this could be a little commemmorative gift for somebody celebrating a significant Christmas (first in a new home or as a married couple, for example). I cut the numbers in shrink plastic with an Alterations strip die but I must say I'm not sure I'd recommend doing this - the ejection foam doesn't work to pop the shapes out and they took quite a bit of removing from the die. I might stamp numbers on the plastic and then hand cut them if I wanted to do this in future.

I'm a cheapskate so I used lightweight filler (DIY type) with my sequin waste stencil rather than proper modelling paste. It worked fine and I used metal leaf to cover the textured circle once it was dry.

Tando products used: circles grab bag, leaves minis, sequin waste mask.

Thanks for stopping by!
