Recipe week with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my small altered project made for Tando Creative challenge week. We were asked to use one stencil, 2 buttons and 3 colors.

This is a kind of " use your leftovers project". The pieces that I added to make this " castle"  are the insides of Tando arches and mini book and I actually added 5 of them one over another to make the shape.
Each piece was covered with one single Tando stencil on the top: this fancy Moroccan roof is a small stencilled piece made with DecoArts texture paste and then heat embossed with gold powder.
Each piece was stamped with Rubber Dance background stamp-Flourishes- using clear embossing ink and the same gold embossing powder. Then  each one of 5 pieces was painted with DecoArts paint and as the stamped images act as resist we still can see the gorgeous embossed background.
I stamped the sentiment with Rubber Dance stamp from ATC Backgrounds 2 (I didn't stamp the name of the author  that is on this stamp, but saying only). Again this was stamped with the same gold heat embossing and painted with the very same dark blue paint.
As my finishing touches I added this clock on the top and two real vintage gold buttons.
You can now imagine that this is your home. Or that you live like 500 years ago in this castle. Just IMAGINE!

one stencil, Two buttons, Three colours by Dee

Hi everyone it's Dee here today with my make for
for recipe week which is use one stencil, Two buttons
and three colours.

I started with the lovely mixed media boards x3.
Next I used A Skinner Stencil/Mask - Tread Carefully
and put the texture crackle paste through the stencil and waited for it to dry.

Once dry I painted each one of the boards with Deco Art fluid acrylic in one of the three colours.
I also painted 3 x card in each of the three colours next I stamped onto the boards & cards with some stamps from my stash.
I stamped with versa fine black ink and clear embossed the boards, & gold on the coordinated colour card. Next I ripped the card and glued it down over the same letter on the media board.

For the next step I used media antiquing cream which I knocked back with a damp cloth. Next I dry brushed with white Gesso. To finish i decorated with two buttons and clock parts from my stash. I also used the Tando bookplates.
Thats it for today! I hope you enjoyed
this post see you soon
Cheers Dee X

Recipe Week - Flourish Card

Hi! Dana here today sharing a simple card I created for the Recipe Challenge. We were challenged to use 1 stencil, 2 buttons and 3 colors. I used the Long Flourish Mask with three colors of Distress Ink. I stacked two circle buttons from the Buttons Grab Bag on top of each other and attached them to the bottom of the inked flourish. I then topped the buttons with a sentiment sticker. I mounted the design onto an embossed card base to finish.

You can find the pieces I used for this card, and more, in the Tando Creative Retail Store! We'd love to see what you create for our Recipe Challenge! To be in with a chance of winning some great Tando goodies of your choice, please make a piece based on our weekly themes and link your project, not just your blog, using the inlinkz tool located at the top of the Tando Blog. You don't have to use any Tando product, but, if you do, you will be entered into the draw twice! There are no limits to how many times you enter, however, we do request that you only enter your piece for 5 challenges. We look forward to seeing your creations!

Recipe week!

Hi peeps!  For the 1st time we are using a recipe for our prompt this week...

One Stencil/mask, 2 buttons, 3 colours

Whenever I go up to London I go by train.  I have made a little holder for my tickets and my Oyster Card.

The base is grungepaper which has been painted.  I used the *Random Circles* mask to add the  blue and green circles.  Then I doodled around them to make them stand out more.  The buttons are from the *Button Grab Bag* and have been painted to match.

You can find more pictures and info on my blog *here* if you would like to see.

Please feel free to join in with our recipe.  You don't have to use Tando products to be entered into our monthly draw.  Take a look at the monthly tab at the top of our blog.

Thank you for popping by and do come back soon, Karen xxx

Trio of Hearts with Lisa

Good Morning, Lisa here with today's 'Anything Goes' creation. I've called this piece 'Trio of Hearts' which started from a square canvas.

I first added lots of layers to the blank canvas to create loads of texture. I used book pages, ribbon, beads, threads, cord, tissue... with DecoArt matte medium to stick everything down. Then painted over it with black gesso.

I used the Tando Rustic Hearts and the two hearts from the Heart Cogs Mix. I first added a thick layer of DecoArt texture sand paste to the large cog hearts and let them dry. I then painted them using DecoArt Media paints and black gesso.

I painted the rustic hearts with DecoArt crackle paint, thin in some areas then thicker in others. I then painted them with DecoArt Media paints.

I then sprayed the canvas and the rustic hearts with a couple of sprays of DecoArt white shimmer media mister.

I stacked the rustic hearts on top of each other and placed all the hearts on the canvas.

Here are the Tando products I used.

Travel forever tag with Irit

 Hello my dear crafty friends!

Irit is here and I want to welcome you  to my February  Tando Anything goes week.
All of us here on DT have lots of previous leftover pieces of chipboards. The right thing is to use them (unless we  want to loose them). So this fancy travel tag is a good sample of " use your stash".
The tag was made with the  pretty new travel collection from 7 Gypsies, but those 2 Tando chpboards are from maybe my first DT box. (I must say that I  asked for more and more of those as I travel a lot and craft a lot about it). Both Compass and Arrow were covered with a thick layer of white embossing powder and then misted with red and light yellow mists.
I am still in love with those chipboard pieces and yes, I still have a couple of them left for another travel project.

The Secret Garden

Hi guys, for the theme this week of anything goes I decided to  do a canvas,

I made the large Irongate as my main focal point for my secret garden!! this I first painted with some gesso, then added some script stamping over the top, I also used a stone mask with some modeling paste to seem wall like on the left hand side, I used the bird and branch mask with some inks for a little extra foliage too,
If you fancy joining us with any of our themes just click on the link above,

Happy Crafting!!

Anything goes by Dee

Hi everyone Dee here today with my anything goes
for this challenge. This piece is very Blingy!!! and
was a play with a new stamp that I won.
Deco art Modelling paste through the
Next I painted the board with Deco Art media
paint, once the paste had dried.
I covered a key from the Tando Mini's - Keys grab bag
with deco art texture sand paste.
Once dry I painted it with raw umber and highlighted with
gold by rubbing my finger over it.
I had used a Tim Holtz stamp on the main board which
you can just glimpse through the embossing.
Media Antiquing: Carbon Black was used on the corners,
and knocked back with damp cloth.
I then triple embossed directly onto the board and stamped
the prize stamp into it. Then normal embossing at the
top. i dabbed glue in area's and burnished gold foil
over and finished off with lots of beads
and watch parts from my stash.
Thats all for today
Cheers Dee x

Anything Goes - Mini Heart Canvas

Hi friends! Dana here today sharing the 3x3 canvas I created for the Anything Goes theme this week. This mini canvas was the perfect size to display the Hearts and Arthur Numbers from the Tando Mini Range. I was able to alter this canvas quickly, but this piece was still made with love! I like using these small canvases for gift toppers instead of a bow.

You can find the pieces I used for this canvas in the Tando Creative Retail Store! We'd love to see what you create for our Anything Goes challenge! To be in with a chance of winning some great Tando goodies of your choice, please make a piece based on our weekly themes and link your project, not just your blog, using the inlinkz tool located at the top of the Tando Blog.
