Large Flourish

Hi, it's Kaz here; Karen and I will be posting our own projects on the blog from now on. After a break, I'm back with a canvas to show off the larger flourish, previously posted ~{here}~.

I've sprayed the flourish with Pink Bubblegum Glimmer Mist, then coated with Rock Candy Distress Paint. Finally, when dry, I've rubbed some Dusty Concord Distress Ink into the cracks.

Don't forget, if you're spraying your chipboard with anything, make sure you do it on a piece of card or, as I've done here, onto a canvas so that you get another project from it:

Christmas Stocking

This is a 2 part piece of chippie, the actual stocking itself and then the dangly header is a separate piece.  There are 2 holes in each piece which line up and can be used to attach ribbon or string....or maybe use a few of them and make a Christmas banner.

Karen has made this adorable wall hanging.  The stocking has been covered in paper and then stickles added around the edges.  She stuck teensy white pom poms onto the points.  To finish Karen added a silver bow with 2 teensy bells attached.

Let it snow......

A cute engraved snowman for your projects.  His features have been engraved for easy decorating too.

Karen has made this gorgeous layout of her children and the snowman they were so proud of.  Whilst using white acrylic she sprinkled some glitter on him and used stickles and glossy accents to pick out the details.

Tando Town Canvases

Well it's been a bit busy at TCL just lately but we are really chuffed with the new Tando Town range that has just been released....and I even got to have a go at crafting myself for a change.

These delightful scenic packs are ideal for making your own canvases, the short house kit below comes complete with 2 houses, fences, gates, paths, trees and a lamp post.

The tall house kit also comes with 2 houses, fences, gates, paths, trees and a lamp post:

And finally the church kit comes with the church, path, gate, tree and a postbox:

Caroline has done this gorgeous canvas and has cleverly turned it the other way around so the the depth of the canvas creates a frame.  Her arty feel to this is simply beautiful.

I have gone for a slightly more traditional look and used a long canvas to mount nearly the entire town.

These are both winter scenes but these chipboard kits could easily be decorated for other seasons, why not make one for each season to hang at different times of the year.

They would make fabulous gifts too.

Sags the Santa Dog

Affectionally named after the nickname for our own dog, this fella will look great on your Christmas projects.  The come in packs of two and are handed as you can see.

Karen and Kaz have done some gorgeous cards, in Karen's words he has been painted, glittered and glossed to within an inch of his tail ha ha.  Karen's worried that he has photographed looking a little green and that you can't see the highlights in his eyes but I think he looks a picture of health myself :-)

Kaz has used acrylic paints and glossy accents on her "Sags" and I spy her trademark doodling around the edges....both fantastic cards.

The Village Green Range

At last the Hotel has been released and I've also finalised the mini houses for release too so should be with TCL stockists soon.

I've already posted a piccie of the finished hotel HERE  and below are the decorated houses.

Both of these little kits come with instructions to put them together but I'm hoping to do an article on the website with photo instructions....and maybe even a video!!

The church has been designed and built but I've yet to put together the instructions.

There are plans for lots more to come to develop this into a cute village scene.

A special treat from Karen

You really must see this peeps.  Karen tentatively emailed me a design a week or so ago, after being persuaded by Kaz!  I fell in love with it and immediately turned it into a chippie piece.  Of course Karen got first looksee at it and she has made the most amazing piece of art.

Here is the chippie piece.

This is absolutely wonderful, I hope you can read the story because it is delighful and it brought back many fond memories for Karen.

The mushroom top has been painted & glazed with some glitter added on the spots.  The 'trunk' has been chalked & then overstamped with a circle stamp and a white pen was also used.  The little door is paper & I cut out the windows to add lace curtains.

21 today.....

......oh I wish!
This is another new piece, they come packed singularly....well you'd probably only need one at a time wouldn't you.  Areas of this piece have been engraved out to create the inner patterns.

Karen has made this stunning badge, this one has been blinged up with gloss, glitter & sakura pens, I think you'll have to agree, it looks amazing.

A new flourish

Another flourish in our collection, these are in packs of 2 different sizes.

The flourish is chalked with versamagic chalk then Karen used glossy accents & glitter.  She added a few flowers and the greeting was stamped & some old lace stuck round.....a beautiful card.

Curly tree canvas

This is another new design to the range and these trees come in packs of 2.

Kaz has made this fantastic canvas, the tree has been painted and she has done some of her trademark doodling on it as well.  It was then mounted on a decorated 5" canvas to make a simply stunning piece of art.

As promised, Karen's painted wall hanging.

After the sneak peek of yesterday I can today reveal Karen's gorgeous wall hanging.  This is using a new piece that you may not have seen yet.  It is a set of 2 anchors, two different sizes, that would be good to use for the males amongst us.

This wall hanging has been sketched and watercoloured by Karen.  She used stamps for the trees and cut the fish from patterned paper.  The birds were also added to complete the painting.  The chippie anchor was then painted with acrylics and coated in Clear Crackle Glaze.  Finally the rope was added.....this is just fab!

Karen's contemporary tree

Karen has done a fantastic job on her Christmas tree.  The main part of the tree was painted with metallic teal paint.  The inner part was coloured in a lighter green and then glossed and glittered.

Rather than drop the inner part back into the tree Karen dropped it slightly to create a 3D effect....a stunning card.

And you must pop by tomorrow too, Karen has done a fantastic wall hanging......here's a sneak peek:

Autumnal feelings

Well the weather seems to turned decidely autumnal here in the South East so no better time to show off this fantastic card that Caroline has made with the small engraved tree.

Caroline used gold acrylic paint on the whole circle of chippie, she then picked out the tree using a Copic pen and Copic fineliner.  The trunk was then covered in Glossy Accents to complete the piece.  This card is simply gorgeous.

Contemporary Christmas Tree

Kaz has done a superb job here, she has made 3 cards from 1 piece and these trees come in packs of 2 so a bargain there.

As you can see, you can carefully remove the centres of this design to create 2 pieces in 1 but Kaz went one step further, she placed the tree with the centre piece removed onto a sheet of white Bazzil and sprayed with Glimmer Mist.  This created a mask which Kaz used on this card with a fabulous result.

The outer piece was then covered with Rock Candy distress paint and when it was dry, Kaz rubbed a bit of Peeled Paint ink into the cracks and stuck it onto bright pink card......gorgeous.

Finally the inner piece was sprayed with Glimmer Mist and some jewels added to create a beautifully simple, contemporary card.....stunning.

Knobbly knees again.....

Just look at this fab birthday card that Karen has made, it is so bright and colourful.

The chippy bird has been painted and overstamped and glitter has been added to his eye and other areas.  He has a brad eye and Karen has made the 2 gorgeous wings that curl up at the ends.....fantastic work.

We are now offically open!
