Today I'm showing you this gorgeous horseshoe that ~{Janice}~ has made for her son's Wedding. It's stunning isn't it? She has painted it, added gems, ribbon and some flowers and put the lot onto a canvas.
She didn't stop there, though, as she went on to make a book to put it in and used a leaf flourish on the front.
Here it is with the two parts together. It's such a gorgeous keepsake for the couple.

Remember Hanging
We have had this gorgeous piece as an entry into our May Monthly Competition:
It was made by ~{Leann}~ from one of the pages in a ~{Tando Ring Binder}~. It really is stunning.
You can see how she made it by clicking the link on her name above. Leann has discovered, like we have, that it really is sturdy stuff and can take a battering!
Thanks for the entry Leann.
You still have a couple of days to enter the monthly competition and if your name is chosen by random, you will receive some Tando goodies. The only rule is to make something with a piece of Tando chipboard.

Small Birdcage Bag Charm/Keyring
Kaz here today and I've been playing with the small birdcages that come in a 2 pack.
I've simply painted them both with silver paint, including the inside ridges, which is fiddly, but makes for a better finish. then cut a bird from patterned paper and stuck the two pieces back to back with the bird in the middle.
I've given all of it a good coating of glossy accents, which had to be done in stages, then attached some chain, beads and a split ring before finishing off with some ribbon.

Twinchies....
Over at SCD this month we are celebrating our 1st Birthday and Tando Creative have become one of our sponsors - to show the versatility of the pieces and to encourage players I used some of the pieces I had left over when Joanne and I did our technique based weeks to create:-
This piece was created using two DI's on the base as the base was white it really shows the clear colours of the inks.
and
the board really had a "bashing" with this technique - the base had a terra coat which was then heated, once the bubbles had collapsed (and cooled) I then painted it with acryllic paint, mica powders where then added and then watered down - inka gold was added to the edges - and stamped images and a bit of metal then added to the piece.
The last piece...
The base was created using DI's and then spritzed with a white lotion - then stamped, the edges were doodled before inka gold being added - the bird is made of metal with inka gold painted on for hi-lights.
These twinchies are fun to create with, they are a gorgeous size and could be added as accents to scrap pages or toppers for that fun card!
For a chance to win some FAB Tando Goodies pop on over to SCD and join in the fun - we have lots of Tando Creative pieces to give away to one lucky player in the month end draw!

OVAL FRAME
Helloooo, its Karen here today! I have been playing with the very pretty OVAL FRAME. This one has a very pretty little stand that is very easy to put together. I love the way the little stand slots together to form a pair of hearts! Here it is nekkid hehe...
I have kept my frame fairly plain for this project as I had just the right picture for it to give as a gift. The photograph is of my daughter and her fiance and I love the colours in it. First I glued string all around the inside and outside edges. Then I painted glue inbetween and added in some micro beads.
When it was dry I painted the whole thing with gold acrylic paint. I treated the little heart shapes on the stand the same way. Where there was a 'join' in the string I added some ribbon, some beads & a love charm to match my daughters hair!!!
Thank you for looking and do pop back soon for some more TANDO inspiration from the design team, HUGS XXX

Dragonfly dreams
I love dragonflies, if I spot one when I'm out on a walk I can happily stand and watch it for as long as it stays in sight! I thought the new large dragonfly shape would make a lovely brooch.
To mimic a little bit of the iridescence of the wings on the real deal, I melted three coats of clear UTEE onto the wings and when almost cool, I rubbed several different Perfect Pearls colours on there. I remelted and added more Perfect Pearls to build up the colour depth and finally remelted and pressed a stamp into the molten UTEE to create some texture. I wiped a tiny bit of pearlescent acrylic paint over the high spots of the textured wings.
The body was coloured with a black marker and then I added Glossy Accents and a row of Dew Drops to finish it off before gluing on a brooch back.
Full details of supplies etc are in {this post} on my blog if anyone would like them. Thanks for stopping by!

Birdhouse Gift Box
Another birdhouse example, this time one I made as a gift box.
The roof has been hinged to allow for small gifts to be placed inside.
It has been painted and decorated with sizzix die cuts, the roof, again painted, has been embossed with ultra thick embossing crystals.

Inch perfect......
Another piece I made for the Fiskarettes design team. I had an inch square punch which is perfect for making these little displays.
This one uses chipboard throughout and full details can be found HERE on the Fiskarettes site.
Anyway, you will spot a little dragonfly on there, these have just become available with some of our stockists.

Another gorgeous house......
I really must share with you this house. I have had the most amazing feedback from a very talented and highly respected lady in the crafting world. Scrapdolly aka Karen has been on the crafting scene for many years, she has been a part of some of the best design teams in the business and her work is very, very highly regarded. I have always been inspired by her work.
I am totally flattered by this lovely blog post that Karen has done featuring her interpretation of the UKS cybercrop class that I did recently.
Please do pop over to her blog, I have linked to her Tando Creative House post but do please take a look through her blog and take a peek at her work, it's wonderful.

Mini Frames
First of all, well done Janice on winning the monthly competition. It would be lovely to see some more entries next month!
It's Kaz here this time and I've been playing with the smaller versions of the frame that Carol made the other day. These mini frames are so versatile and really dinky making them quick and fun to alter.
They come as separates to allow you to do what you want with them. I've painted this first one with acrylic paints then inked the edges and stamped paw prints before adding a photo. I finished off with some glossy accents and a few fimo bones.
I've made the second one into a little bit of artwork andmade a mistake discovered a new technique in the process! For the base at the back, I stamped in Stazon onto some acrylic paint, but it was too fussy when combined with the front, so I used Stazon cleaner on it and, although it didn't remove all of the ink, it left just enough for it to work.
I've stuck patterened paper onto the frame and decorated it with a stamped image and some flowers, both die-cut and primas. Then I did a little light doodling.
I have plans for Christmas presents already with these frames.

April Competition
Congratulations to Janice on winning the April competition, thanks for entering :o)
I will put up a May competition shortly but, to be honest, it may be the last for a while. I had hoped there would be more entries for these competitions but sadly it seems not.
