Hello, its Karen here today with some more Distressing/Inking which is our theme for this week. I found a wooden heart tray to use as a backdrop to my chippie.
The Tando bird, cage and flowers have been painted with acrylic then crackle accents over the top to make them look distressed. The butterflies have been covered in the same paper as the background. The cage is wired so that it hangs free.
Thank you for looking today, do pop back to see us again soon. Karen xxx
lovely piece Karen...loving the flowers at the bottom xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the birdcage! xx
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty. What a great idea to just cover the chipboard shapes in paper. That might sound patronising but it certainly isn't intended that way. Sometimes the simpler things avoid me.I often get myself in a right old lather trying to find various ways to cover things like this and there's coordinating papers right there to make it look so good.
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen
It is beautiful Karen - love the lace edging on the inside and all the blues and the cage.......and it all :)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty and romantic... and a wonderful sentiment!
