A BIG AND GREAT FAMILY !!

Hello, hope your Weekend is off to an AMAZING Start!! =)
I (Coco) chose to make a very special layout to illustrate our Family theme this week! I decided to scrap some photos taken last year at “Version Scrap”, which is the most famous crafty event we have here in France. It takes place every year on April, in Paris. By this way I can show you part of my great and big  - French here - CRAFTY FAMILY, who represents so much for me !! I have fabulous keepsakes from the days I spent with some other lovely ladies. On the second photo, I was attending a workshop given by Leandra from PaperArtsy (I followed her two classes this year, whoot!) and it was really fantastic. The sentiment stamped at the bottom is "Precieuse Amitié", which means "Precious Friendship" in English. That's exactly what I feel.

To give volume to my layout, I created beautiful hand-made embellishments. I stamped several times two different large flowers on a sheet of watercolour paper, after colorizing it using various Distress inks (I spritzed also bit of water on them). I then cut out all the flowers and also inked the edges with more Distress ink, in a tone on tone colour. I layered some of them and all my other elements using different sizes of small foam pads and glued everything in place.
Next,  as a beautiful addition, I picked up two different cameras from my Tando’s mini camera grab bag and decorated them with brown and black paints, a Krylon Gold marker, and a coat of Glossy Accents at the end. Here are some close ups of my cameras, and also my flowers:

And to further honour my French crafty friends today, I must confess that I created also this page for the friendly French challenge blog capdescrapperça, following a cool sketch drawn by a lady named Scrapouillon (the owner of the blog). She was so kind as to invite me as her guest DT for September, alongside with Christscrap (the lady of incredible talent who is sitting beside me on the front end picture !). For the anecdote, on the second photo in the middle, you may also recognize Sylvie, a very good friend of mine, who is currently a designer for the Craft Barn and Crafty Individuals too. Almost all the other ladies are (or have been) part of very talented French teams and I love them all. I'm very proud of my French crafty friends lol, and in a larger extent of my whole worldwide extended crafty Family !!!
