Hey Tando peeps!! Today's project is a little out of the box but I'm completely in love with it!!! I made some cute little bottle cap key chains!! There are 2 pictures of each one as I wanted you to be able to see all of the glass beads that I used.
I was inspired to make these by Sabrina Ann on YouTube.
First I flattened out the bottle cap with my Sizzix Big Shot and then punched a whole in the top and bottom of the cap with a bottle cap punch. Then I used a 1 inch circle punch and punched out a circle using black card stock. I adhered the card stock inside the bottle cap using a wet glue. I then gessoed and painted the Tando's Mini Flower with Pumpkin Orange acrylic paint. I did a couple layers of the orange until I got the covering that I wanted. I adhered the Mini Flowers in the bottle cap using wet glue. After ensuring that the glue was dry I covered the entire area with Dimensional Mod Podge. While the Mod Podge was still wet I sprinkled a little Mustard Seed and Black Soot distress glitter on top. I then let them dry for about 3 hours and then filled in any areas that were missed and let them dry again.
Once they were looking how I wanted them to and they were dry I used a jump ring to attach a lobster clasp to the top. I then made 3 bead dangles and used 2 links of chain and some jump rings to attach them.
I hope I did a good job at explaining these. If you have any questions please just ask me or if you would like to see a tutorial you can check out Sabrina Ann's on YouTube or just ask and I will make one. Please don't be surprised if you see more of these in the future from me, I had so much fun making them!!!!
