Butterfly Card

For our butterfly theme, I've made a card using another of the soon to be released card packs:

I've inked through the {Mini Flourish Stencil} onto the card blank and used {DecoArt White Modelling Paste} through it onto a tag.

I've painted the {Mini Butterflies} and {Mini Heart} with acrylic paint.

Once dry, I used spray ink and water to colour the tags, making sure that the colour got deep into the grooves of the texture paste. I also splatted the card blank with spray ink.

I've used #Stampendous Frantage packs to decorate the butterflies and heart.
I've stamped and heat embossed the butterflies with Sky Blue Embossing Powder and stamped and embossed the heart with Detail Capri Embossing Powder, both from the {Teal Frantage Jewel Kit}.

I've finished everything off with some doodles and used the black card from the stencil pack to surround the tag.

BFF Butterfly ATC Set

Hi friends! Dana here today sharing a set of butterfly ATCs that I created for me and my BFF. I started with two Artist Trading Cards and a Butterfly. I painted each card with DecoArt Primary Magenta Fluid Acrylic and then added a fun swirl pattern with a stencil and blue acrylic paint. I pressed DecoArt White Modelling Paste over the Mini Distressed Sequins Mask to add another layer of dimension. The card was a bit too matte for my taste, so I brightened the design with some glitter glue and sequin stars.

Next, I cut the butterfly in half, embossed it with bright orange embossing powder, and then added chunky rhinestone embellishments to the wings. I lined up the two cards and glued the butterfly pieces along the sides that touched. I finished this set with a Dymo sentiment that reads "Together We Fly" when the cards are held together.

I had a lot of fun with this challenge! You can find the products that I used for this piece in the Tando Creative Retail Store!

Butterflies!

Hellooooo!  If you love butterflies then this week is just for you!  We are celebrating them all this week!  I have chosen to decorate and teensy 2x2inch wooden box that I found in my stash.

I lightly painted it with *DecoArt Cobalt Teal Hue* so that the wood grain still showed through.  Then I took the lovely new *Mini Mask Leaves * and stencilled white acrylic through it on the sides of the box.  While that was drying I painted the little *butterflies* from the mini range first in white, then dry brushed with the teal.  I added some wire and beads as shown.

I then painted a piece of burlap white (although it still looks cream in the photo) and glued it underneath the butterflies on the top of the box.

Do pop back for some more fluttery inspiration and thank you for popping by today, HUGS Karen x

Hi Tando fans! Dana here today. We've teamed up with Stampendous this week to bring you a double dose of inspiration and an exciting blog hop. I created this mini arch with one of the inner cut arches from the Triple Arch Layered Frame and some Fran-tage Color Fragments. I love to use the inner cut pieces from Tando designs for additional projects. This layered frame comes with 9 inner cut arches, so one can create a fun set of mini arches in addition to the layered frame!

I used Powder Blue and Sage Fran-tage Color Fragments with clear glue to add a layer of color and texture to my arch. Once I had a solid base of color, I added a piece of Grass Flexistrip, which I painted with green acrylic paint, and a butterfly. I then sealed the arch with a layer of glaze and let it dry overnight.

I added a piece of gold leaf ribbon and an inked sticker sentiment the next day. I finished this piece by coloring the edge of the arch with a gold paint pen.

You can find the products that I used for this piece in the Tando Creative Retail Store! Be sure so visit the blog all week long for more inspiring projects with Stampendous products!

We have two projects for you again today using Stampendous products with Tando;
 the first is from Lisa:

First, I took the mixed media tags from Tando, but why use one when you can use two?....
I started by adding some background layers to the tags, using torn cardboard and bits of ribbon and lace.

On tag (a) I took a selection of sizes from the Tando grab bag of stars and used the Tando mini mask - giraffe to add some pattern and texture using homemade texture paste.
I then added some small straight bunting.

I did the same on tag (b) using the distressed diamonds mini mask and the circles grab bag then added one of the zips from the 2 set of zips pack.

When everything was in place I added some colour using DecoArt Media Acrylic Paints. When the paint was dry, I dry brushed white acrylic paint over the top.

On to the stamping.... on both tags, I used the Stampendous 'fashion dame' stamp set designed by Nathalie Kalbach.
I used some subtle patterned paper to stamp the skirt and jacket then stamped the figure on to white card. After fussy cutting the figure, I put a wash of brown paint over the top to make it more subtle and blend in. I then fussy cut the skirt and jacket and added them to the figure.

I made some picture frames from clear Ultra Thick Embossing Powder and a mould. I stamped the figure again on to white card and cut out the face of the figure to fit in to each frame. I again colour washed the frame image.

I then took a selection of buttons and covered them with clear embossing ink. I covered them with Stampendous Shabby Green Embossing Enamel and heat embossed. I absolutely adore this stuff!!! It's just amazing! The result is stunning!!!

To finish, I coloured some organza ribbon with the same green coloured DecoArt paint and tied it in a bow on both the tags. I then lightly heated the ribbon with the heat gun which makes it crinkly.

Kaz here with my {Stampendous} Project

I've made a card, again using products that will soon be available as a card kit:

I've used {Mini Splatters Stencil} onto the card blank and then went around the edges of the splats with a coloured pencil.

I've  cut the {Mini Music} to size and sprayed with black ink spray. Once dry, I've carefully used an embossing pen onto the notes and treble clef only, then sprinkled Sky Blue Embossing Powder from the Stampendous {Teal Frantage Jewel Kit}. This is lovely and sparkly!

I finished off with a stamped greeting and some doodles.

Hello my dear friends!
Irit is here and this is project for Anything goes week- made with my new delicious Stampendous products that I got for our Friday blog hop.
So as this is a Summer time I decided to make a summer project and made this double arch with Tando and Stampendous products all together.
All Stampendous Mixed Media products that I used to make my project can be found on Tando site!
I used Tando arches the frame as a background and added the inside piece over it.
Both background and outer piece were stencilled with Stampendous stencil that is a part of KAFEE KLATCH stamp set and DecoArt White Modelling paste.  Then I heat embossed the wet paste with Spoon full of Midnight and Spoon full of Snow powders. On the background I also stamped with  KAFEE KLATCH  stamp set and heat embossed it with Golden Sand Embossing powder from Frantage Encrusted Jewel Kit Bronze. The outer frame was also stamped with Fiesta  stamp set and teal ink.
The outer frame was heat embossed with Spoonful of Midnight powder.
Both parts were painted with DecoArt Media Line paints inside and then arranged one over another.
Tando Moroccan Grid chipboard piece was painted with DecoArt Turquoise paint and added over the arches as shown.
As the next step I stamped the flower and the leaves from Fiesta stamp set, heat embossed them with black powder and painted with a mix of paints. Some glaze was added over together with Spoonful of Snow powder.

Hi everyone Dee here today with my first post for the
 Tando/Stampendous week.

I started with 3x Tando mixed media boards as they are amazing.
Lovely Laura Weed sent me these lovely stamps in one of my amazing
packages that I have received from them.
For those of you that are familiar with my art would recognise that these would
appeal to me. The amazing spider stencil I think is my absolute favourite
he is just so perfect.
I painted my media boards with Deco art chalky finish paint as these can
be sanded back to give a fabulous surface for stamping onto.
Next I used black staz-on ink to stamp the images onto
the media boards.
White crackle paste was put through the Dreamweaver Spider &
Bat stencil also used Snowflake cascade on the back.
Once dry and cracked, I used black antiquing cream to highlight
the texture.
This stamp is brilliant it reminds me of films I have watched
set in New Orleans can't remember the name of it though.
A back view all attached with brass hinges & little bit of gold
embossing.

Products used
  1. Tando products used:- 3 x Mixed Media Boards 74mm x 138mm, Deco art :- Media Antiquing: Carbon Black, Fluid Acrylics: Transluscent White.
  2. Deco art Chalky finish paint I mixed 1 x Delicate with 1x Newlife & 3 x primitive with 1 x treasure and Delicate.
  3. Stampendous Stamps used:- Ravens skull, Raven background, Skeleton Lady, Industrial Andy Skinner & Filigree. Dreamweaver Stencils:- Spider, Bats & snowflake cascade for the line of dots on the back. Gold embossing powder.
Well that's it from me for today i will be back through the week on both here and the Stampendous blogs so don't forget to pop beck and on Friday join in the blog hop for a chance to win some lovely goodies.
Cheers Dee x

Hi Gez here, delighted to be sharing a creation with you today using the [Straight edged arch]

I created a background by collaging random pieces of paper on to the chipboard arch adding thin layers of acrylic paint after stamping and embossing the arch with the gorgeous [Cityscape] stamp designed by mixed media artist Nathalie Kalbach.

This stamp will be available from [Tando Creative] in the UK[Stampendous]
have a fullist of stockists around the world on their website.

To create the stars I used the [Hippy Chick Mask] by Andy Skinner

A Skinner Stencil/Mask - Hippy Chick

by first applying a thick layer of texture paste then a layer of  [Frantage Jewel Kit: Silver]

 Oh my goodness, how yummy!

The stars were then outlined with a black watercolour pencil to add depth. I hope you like my project. Thank you for looking and leaving a comment if you get the chance.

Make altered art from useless packaging with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Tando post.
This week we were challenged to use  Tando packaging for our art and this is what I made: a kind of art piece where I made my upper sentiment and add one stamped on the bottom.
I used the longest possible Tando packaging cardstock that is inside each and every Tando product, the grey one. And it has the hole that you can use to hang the final project or to add a ribbon or whatever.
I dry embossed it from the top and then from the bottom as it's too long to fit any embossing folder.
Then I painted it over with a mix of DecoArt Media line metallic paints and then I added even more texture with Tando Doilie mask and DecoArt texture paste.
And then I painted over it again and again till I got this lovely tone of gold .
Tando Zipper was painted with black  and gold acrylics and glued over the packaging piece.
Some white paint borders were added and then I made this " UNZIP YOUR MIND" stickers sentiment and added the stamped one using Two Paper Divas stamp.

Use the packaging….

Hi, Carol with you today with my recycled Tando packaging project….

With all hanging packets you get a lovely sheet of card as a backing sheet, by cutting off the tab section at the top I was left with a nice size back panel.

I then gave the card a coat of gesso and added acrylic paint in differing colours… some stencilling using:- mini clock mask, Have your say stencil and sequin waste stencil was added using paint.

A hand written quote which was matted onto the black card found in the stencil packs, doodling and washi tape finished it all off.

Here is the finished piece:-

Use The Packaging

I'm kicking off this week and we are using the packaging that comes with the Tando goodies. I've used the black card that you get in the stencil sets for this card:

1. Cut the black card too size, use glitter medium through the -{Leaves 1 Stencil}- and leave to dry.

2. Use glitter medium through the -{Flourish Stencil}- onto the card blank, wiping it clean between uses so you don't get it where you don't want it.

3. Paint the butterfly and flowers from -{Mini Butterflies}- and -{Mini Flowers}- with acrylic paint, adding highlights as you go.

4. While everything dries, cut some patterned paper to size and use a border punch.

**The papers had the word 'Oh' on it, so I've used that in a circle punch and the 'Pretty' was in some coordinating stickers.**

5. Finish the whole thing off with doodles and glitter glue dots.

**All of the Tando products used here, plus a couple of others, will soon be on sale as card making kits from the Tando Store.**
