Good Morning for my anything goes week project I thought I would share a Vintage/ Patina Effect using Tando's Small Round Box. The Tando Creative Round Box is made from sturdy MDF. It consists of sixteen 1 inch panels Two of which have a circular top and two circular pieces that form the bottom and the top rim of the box.
To start I lined up two sets of 7 panels the way they would appear on the round box then taped them together using masking tape across the back to keep them from moving. I then applied DecoArt Media Modelling paste through a stencil to both sets of panels. When dry a resin star was added to the centre of the stencil design and the masking tape was removed and all panels including the two round top ones and top and bottom pieces were given a coat of DecoArt Chalky finish in Relic. Once dry all pieces were then given a coat of DecoArt Vintage Wash in Patina and wiped back a baby wipe. The raised stencil areas and the stars were then swiped with DecoArt Metallic Lustre in Burnished Brass and buffed to a shine. Following the instructions that came with the Round Box, I then glued all the panels in place, To finish DecoArt Metallic Lustre in Burnished Brass was then swiped all around the edges. There you have it! Easy to do and a whole lot of fun to put together.
