Recipe Week - Pretty Mixed Media Board

Hi! Dana here today sharing my take on the Recipe Challenge this week. I used the Long Flourish Mask, two leaf stamps and three flowers to fulfill the challenge. I built this piece on top of a Mixed Media Board as a companion to the Triple Arch Layered Frame I created earlier this month.

You can find the products that I used for this piece in the Tando Creative Retail Store! We'd love to see what you create for our Recipe Challenge! To be in with a chance of winning some great Tando goodies of your choice, please make a piece based on our weekly themes and link your project, not just your blog, using the inlinkz tool located at the top of the Tando Blog. You don't have to use any Tando product, but, if you do, you will be entered into the draw twice! There are no limits to how many times you enter, however, we do request that you only enter your piece for 5 challenges. We look forward to seeing your creations!

Recipe Week Card

This week we have a recipe theme of:

1 stencil
2 stamps
3 flowers

Of course I made a quick and simple card:

I painted 3 of the ~{Mini Flowers}~ with Decoart Acrylic Paint and, while they dried, used the         ~{Mini Clock Stencil}~ onto the card blank.

Next I've used a text stamp with white embossing powder onto the mini flowers and then glued them onto some white flowers and stuck them to the card blank.

The second stamp is a birthday stamp.

Anything goes by Dee

Hi everyone Dee here with my latest post for Tando
I decided to do something a bit different than
my normal work.
I started with a media board which i coloured
with a verity of vibrant colours.
Next I stamped some stamps from my stash onto the
media board.
I used some barrier wax/vasaline in area's that I wanted
the colour to come through on.
I then painted in black acrylic paint and knocked it back
once dry. I inked up some more stamps and
then gold embossed them.
Finally I painted some hearts from the grab bag, arrows
circle & washer from the industrial elements set.
Finally a sprinkle of shabby white Frantage
embossing powders to finish off.
That's all for today folks I hope
you like it.
Cheers Dee x

Make a perfect moment altered canvas: Anything goes week

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my Anything goes week on Tando blog.
Today I am going to share a pretty big altered canvas made in a very shabby pastel colors with a few on Tando products.

I made it as " all around time" art piece and as a such I used Tando clock mask, Tando clock big chipboard and added a piece of Tando Round Grid chipboard on the top.
The piece was all misted with Lindy's Stamp Gang mists- only three colors and I added stamped over tissue clocks and a sentiment (Visible Image stamps).
Some delicate die cuts were added as a cluster around the clock.

I really hope that you like my delicate art piece this time and see you soon again!

Anything Goes - Choose Happy Springtime Arch

Hi friends! Dana here today sharing an arch for the Anything Goes theme this week. The flowers are beginning to bloom and the birds are singing outside my window so that was my inspiration for this piece. I covered the base of a Triple Arch Layered Frame with patterned paper and then topped it with one frame piece that I painted a textured white. I brought in a small piece of nature for this piece. I covered a cut tree branch with a painted Leaf Flourish, a die-cut bird and some paper flowers. I finished this piece with a sticker sentiment and bright pink bow.

You can find the products that I used for this piece in the Tando Creative Retail Store! We'd love to see what you create for our Anything Goes Challenge! Easter ATC

Hi friends! Dana here today sharing an ATC for the Easter theme this week. I love using heavier embellishments, like this resin frame, with Tando chipboard because I know the extra weight is no match for the strength of the board. I removed the top baby chick portion from the cracked egg design from the Mini Easter Egg Set and replaced it with a colorful digital image of a chick for a festive focal point. I placed my embellished frame on top of an Artist Trading Card that I covered with patterned paper and a piece of Grass Flexistrip. I finished this piece with a pair of bright yellow bows and a handwritten sentiment.

You can find the products that I used for this piece in the Tando Creative Retail Store! We'd love to see what you create for our Easter Challenge! Texture Paste Week - Celebrate Arch

Hi! Dana here today sharing the arch I created for the Texture Paste theme this week. I used a portion of my favorite Arabian-Style Layered Arch Frame for the base of this piece. I covered the chipboard with a book page and then used two masks, the Mini Distressed Sequins and the Random Circles, with chalk ink and whipped spackle to add color and depth. I cut a piece from a Grass Flexistrip to run across the bottom of the arch. Before embellishing, I lightly sprayed the arch with white mist.

You can find the products that I used for this piece in the Tando Creative Retail Store! We'd love to see what you create for our Texture Paste Challenge! To be in with a chance of winning some great Tando goodies of your choice, please make a piece based on our weekly themes and link your project, not just your blog, using the inlinkz tool located at the top of the Tando Blog. Find your perfect moment with a lot of texture

Long time ago (I mean like 6 years already) I became a DT member of UK company named Tando Creative. I am still here as you can see and wish to stay forever. But this introduction is all about having a lot of stencils since. And texture paste week is most probably all about stencils.
And being with Tando for 6 years is a main  reason to know Andy Skinner's name long before it was all known around the world with his new Media line and stamps. I also met him in person on last CHA show and even took his gorgeous class where we used Tando Industrial kit.
So this art page was made with everything you can see below (Andy's stamp set is not on this photo, but lots of his other products are). One single sentiment stamp set is from Visible Image and I used it as it was just perfect for this pretty dark stencilled girl who should take a moment and to make it bright and perfect.
A lot of Tando stencils were used to make this art piece:
Voque
Code breaker
Burning rubber
Rollerball
Sunburst
And the whole bunch of DecoArt products that can be found HERE!

And some close ups too. Lot of texture made with DecoArt Texture paste, Fluid acrylics, Matte Gel, Gesso and also a lot of dry time and some heat embossing.
The sentiment was stamped over tissue as with this texture it was almost impossible to make it other way. The white splashes are from the new Andy's stamp set made with white acrylic paint and glitter over it.

Alphabet Time

Hi everyone I hope you are well and doing lots of crafting!!
Our theme this week is texture paste so below is
my effort using texture paste.
I used my favourite Mixed Media Boards 74mm x 138mm.
I took a stencil Mask - Letters and put texture paste through
with a pallet knife.
Once dry I painted the entire board with Titan Buff.
I used Bistre in Natural, vert, blue and black
and spritzed with water to activate.
The nuts and bolts are from the Andy Skinner Industrial
Elements set. I glued the bolts together then painted
with paynes grey followed by quinacridone gold
then patina antiquing cream.
Next I coloured a clock face from the 4 Clocks Small bag. I used
texture sand paste and painted with paynes grey,
followed by patina antiquing cream.
I glued a stamped clock face to a tando circle and put crackle
paste round the edge. For the clock face I used
crackle glaze.
To finish off I used pewter treasure gold to highlight.

Texture paste week

Hello, its Karen playing with *Texture Paste* today :p.  I have decorated an address book....

I used  *Gio's masks (Eighties)* to spread the paste through in the centre of the book cover.  Then I painted over all of the cover with *Quinacridone Magenta*.  When that was dry I added some *Quinacridone Gold* over some of the stencilled parts and also dabbed some *Dioxazine Purple* here and there to add more depth.  When dry I added *Crackle Glaze* around the outside of the mask and on the circles and 'square' shapes.  *Antiquing cream in white* was added into the crackles.  *Liquid Glass* was added to other areas.

Thank you for taking a look today!  If you fancy paying along then take a look at the tab at the top of the page!  Hugs, Karen xxx

Colour Challenge with Lisa

Hi there, Lisa here today with my take on this weeks colour challenge.

Here is my creation...

I decided to do a 7.5" x 7.5" card front and I focused on the pinks, purples and greens on the colour palette.
I used the distressed diamonds mask with some filler to get a really thick, textured look. I mixed some crushed olive distress ink with the filler to colour it.

I then added victorian velvet and tattered rose distress inks to the background and a tiny hint of dusty concord.
I coloured the mini book plates with dusty concord and used crushed olive and peeled paint distress ink to colour the swirls.

I stamped the word 'cherish' directly on to the card and stamped the word 'forever' on to a separate piece of card.
I cut the 'forever' up and put it inside the bookplates. I then covered the centre of them with DecoArt Liquid Glass.

Thanks for popping by, Lisa x

Here are the Tando products I used which are all available on the website.
