Small Family
It's Kaz again today, this time making a very simple present using the small Family word which is about 12 cms long.
I've used a very cheap photo frame from Ikea and used Ranger Pearl Acrylic paint then rubbed Tea Dye Distress Ink over it, which has sunk into the frame and gives the sheen from the paint a colour tint.
For the word, I used Gesso to paint all over including the sides and then used Malted Mauve Versamagic Inkpad to colour the front. Once dry, I doodled the edges of the letters, then added 3 layers of clear UTEE. I stuck the word onto the frame with glossy accents.
This is a gift for my sister (I hope she doesn't see this) as I have a photo of her, her husband and their daughters taken on holiday when we all went to Florida and every time she comes to my house, she comments that she doesn't have a copy of the photo. This is why I wanted to keep the decoration simple, so that the photo and the family are the main focus.
She has a couple of photo frames with gorgeous silver hearts on them, so I added this to match in.
