Each second counts: Get painty with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Tando post.
This canvas is sure the painty one. As you can see I used tons of paints, but then I used quite a few of gorgeous Tando stencils too.
The most seen is the Clock one as this whole piece  is about time. I made this title for " Life is short. Each second counts" and the clock is all about seconds we should count. Then I added numbers  from Have you say stencil  and quite a few stripes  over the stamped background with Stripes  stencil.
So  even without chipboards  this altered canvas is still full of Tando spirit. And I hope you like it.

Anything Goes - Canvas

I made this canvas for a male friends 50th birthday towards the end of last year...

painted with an ombre effect

This is what it looked like unpainted, which I quite like also...

painted plain white before ombre effect added

For the background of the canvas I used texture paste and two Tando masks - Diamond Circles and Stripes.

Art is never perfect: Paint week

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here again and this time it's my Paint project. For this project I made 4 pieces art wall deco, using 4 different wooden  boards and a lot of Tando fantastic stencils.
Here is my ART IS NEVER PERFECT  deco piece. As you can see I used Tando and Andi Skinner's stencils with molding pastes, embossing powders and a lot of painting mediums. There are acrylic paints, shimmery paints, water colors, gelatos, mists..A lot of stamping  was added over those Mixed Media art pieces too... You name it- I used it here

And now for the single pieces.

As you  see, Tando stencils are so versatile and so much fun to work with. Just go to Tando retailers and buy some of those gorgeous art stencils.

Family - My 2

Hello, this weeks theme on the Tando blog is Family, so here is a little bit of mine - I love documenting them growing up and looking back at pictures like this.

For this page I started by tearing a piece of card in half and then making a v-shaped piece on my page, which I filled with the tangled yarn mask and then misted layers of black across the page.  I piled up lots of paper, card, gauze and lace behind my photo, stapling it as this holds tricky things like the gauze better than glue.  I finished it with a little Tando star button that I covered in yellow, gold and silver gelatos, then threaded it with twine and used the rest of the twine as a little pile behind the star.

A card-book for the mistress: Just a Card week

Hi, Here’s Coco with my first Tando project as new DT member ! So happy and excited to share my future works with you ! Hope you will like this one, a little bit special. Here in France our school holidays have just started... For the last day, I was looking for an idea of crafty gift to offer to the schoolteacher of my two mini-honeys (my twins that are five and half years old). She has been so kind for them for the whole year... So a card-book, with a surprise inside… why not ?!!

For this card I used this mask/stencil Tornado from Andy Skinner that I love.
I inked it on some cream card with a piece of Cut'n dry and my distress ink pad Gathered Wings. I used only this ink, as the colour perfectly coordinates with a fresh collection of Jillibean Soup papers ! (hmm... very fresh, but no so much if you consider that these papers were in my scraproom from ages ha ha !!).

Here's the cover of my card with the stenciled image on top:

By the way, I can’t resist to present you for the occasion my two "Gnomies" ! You should see them from time to time on some layouts in the months to come…

My small squares on cover and back sides were stamped in Versamark, heat embossed with clear powder, and then coloured with different Perfect Pearls powders mixed to water. The mica pigments are retrieved easily using a watercolor brush after letting them dry.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Coco xxx

Adventure

This is my inky page - Adventure, it's not the best photo as my son's hat is covering lots of his face yet it marks a memory!

I started with the random circles mask and carefully painted olive green distress ink in all the circles using a distress stain, I then used the mask as a stencil to go around the edge of the circle in black gel pen  - I also continued the circles a little further on each side than the mask itself does (just by moving the mask along) so that you could see more of the circles when the papers were on the page too.  I also added some stars and a compass...again just using ink - the 2 chipboard stars are covered in red brick distress ink and the compass in brown stazon and then I added some glossy accents to the top.

Simply love to fly and to Dream Big

Hello, my dear crafting friends! Irit is here again and this time I am going to show  you 2 projects made with our weekly theme and the most versatile Tando products.
My first project for today is an Altered canvas, 15*15 cm size made with  Tando mask, molding paste and lots of painting and coloring mediums. I used mists, shimmery paints, regular acrylic paint and.... don't even remember what else. The result is very shiny . I also used Prima mistable canvas and Inspired by Stamping  " Dream Big" stamp.

My second project is this small  arch and I used another Tando mask with molding paste on  this piece. Not too much of Tando, but the final project is lovely.Other products used here are The Rubber Cafe  stamps, lots of coloring mediums, embossing powders, Sizzix and CLD dies , some washi tape and Tim Holtz word sticker I am in love with.

Hope I inspired  you to fly and to dream this week. See you again next week.

some ATCs with tando

Hi, here's Caro :) ... As you know I simply love ATCs, so I have prepared some ATCs for you. The tando creative minis are perfect for this size!

On the first ATC I have used one of the wonderful butterflies and the ink splatters mask in the background - I love this mask, it's so versatile!

Here I have used the ink splatters mask again and on the edges I have used the stitches group mask.

I love layering and fussy cutting ;) ... on this ATC I used some of tando mini flowers and a butterfly again. The flowers are sprayed with Glimmer Mist - as is the whole ATC - and the butterfly is embossed with UTEE and stamped into the hot UTEE.

I created this ATC a few weeks ago and I have even posted it on my blog but as the theme is ATCs this week I'd like to show it anyway. Here I have used the ink splatters mask again - you see, I really love it ;)

Guest Designer for The Craft Barn

Hi! A bit excited here as I can, at last, begin to show you what I have been doing the last few weeks :-D I was asked to be a guest designer for June for ~THE CRAFT BARN~ using TANDO CREATIVE PRODUCTS!!!!! I also felt very humbled as they have some incredible artists on their team! I shall be appearing once a week for this month only and my 1st post is today. The prompt was to use masks so I used Tando's clock mask to make a.......clock hahahahaha!!!!!

The Craft Barn stock most, if not all, of our products and they are often used by their design team so do pop over for a look.  You can find more details about how I made the clock on my blog.  HUGS, Karen x

BOO!!!!!!!

Hello!  I have an assortment of Tando leaves & bits & pieces and I have used them on this 4x4inch canvas.

I used the leaves mask for the background.  Except for the mushrooms, which are just painted, I have used glossy accents & then dropped alcohol inks into it.  I only used one colour for the leaves but I love the way it has come out all mottled.  Behind the leaves is a scalloped frame, which is part of a set and very handy to have in your stash, as are the leaves!

Don't forget the New Challenge is up for April...the link is on our sidebar.

Thank you for taking a peep today, Hugs, Karen x

Happy Mother's day with an altered canvas

This small- 4*4'' canvas was altered with lots of Tando most perfect chipboards and I also used Tando mask (messed with it a bit, but I like the final result)
All pieces were inked, painted and heat embossed with lots of embossing powders and I added this sentiment over this wings shape as it was made as Mom's Day small gift.
Here are all Tando products used on this project:
