Steampunk week here at Tando

Hi folks Dee here with my Steampunk tag! Sorry a bit late as just back from holiday
and frantically trying to write this as I thought I was tomorrow.
It was a very good holiday though and am lucky to be back as
they forgot to pick us up for the flight back LOL!
I used a lot of deco art products along with the mini flourish stencil
& the long slim tag from Tando (one of my favourites).
The middle heart is a Tando heart which has been
tripple embossed and stamped with
Stampendous's Steam pumpkin stamp.
This was followed with some pumice stone paste from golden
and washed with Prussian blue hue and black
antiquing cream.
The base of the tag was given a coat of chalk finish paint
in legacy and Weatherwood followed by
crackle paint. Black modelling paste through
the stencil.
Wings were made out of paper clay.
below is a list of products used and links to the shop
I hope you all like the tag and please ask if you have any questions.

Cracks & Crevices by Dee

Hi everyone! Dee here with my take on cracks and crevices.
I used a Tando creative tag with lots of lovely
Deco art products to create it.

I started by giving the tag a coat of 2 parts Treasure 2fl oz
mixed with 1 part Delicate 2fl oz.
I followed this with weather wood in placed
that I wanted large crackle and dry.
The next step is to apply a coat of Deco art crackle paint.
Once its dry i put crackle paste through the heart stencil
and followed this down the tag.
I also applied the crackle paste to the edges of the Tag.
A very very watery wash just a dot of prussian blue hue  in lots
of water this was brushed over the top of the crackle.
The script stamp was stamped along with Archival Ink
Pad French Ultramarine. Burnt umber antiquing cream
was used over the hearts and the edges then
knocked back once dry.
The indents of the hearts were painted with Media Interference -
Turquoise and liquid glass was applied over the top.
Thats it for today please feel free to let me
 know what you think

with washes of colour and going back until
I was happy.

to give a base.
Next was prussian blue hue then a spray of copper.
The circle was painted with pains grey then followed with
quinacridone gold.
Media Interference - Turquoise with copper followed by liquid glass
for the pupil.

Anything goes with Dee

Hi everyone! Dee here with my latest tag for Tando
I really enjoyed making this tag I used a couple of the
mini masks that Tando do they are a lovely size
and were ideal of this project.
firstly I covered the tag with white gesso and used the distressed
sequin mask first followed by the distressed diamond second
by putting white modelling paste through them.
Next I covered it all with two coats of white Gesso once
it had dried.
Next I did a wash of grey and blue water colour drying between coats
so as to keep the two colours separate. Magicals were then applied
and spritzed with water till I was happy.
Next I stamped the Tim Holtz butterfly onto watercolour paper
and coloured with zig clean watercolour pens. On a piece of
baking paper I stamped the butterfly again in black versa fine
and clear embossed it. Next I put the wax pellets
onto this and heated till melted then glued this onto
the coloured image.
The same process with the clock faces just put the wax
straight onto the image.

Finally I stamped the script stamp randomly onto
the tag and tied black string and attached a bead and bolt.
Thanks for dropping by I hope you all enjoyed my project
today.
Cheers Dee x

Tags challenge by Dee

Hi everyone and Happy New Year to you all!! I hope you all had a great Christmas.
I was lucky enough to have some time over the break to be able to do a bit
of crafty surfing on the internet. I visited France Papillon's site
where I got the inspiration for this tag.
I used modeling paste through Neil walker mask and then the distressed
sequin mini stencil on a Tando mixed media tag. Black Gesso
was used over the entire tag and knocked back before it
dried. I then introduced white gesso until I was
happy with the results.
Next was the colour which was Lyndy's stamp gang magicals used with
crackle glaze and water a slight bit of gesso. This was applied
to the tag followed by spattering of white Gesso. The same technique
was applied to the smaller tag.
I stamped the fish onto the smaller tag and onto matt paper which I then
coloured in using zig clean coloured pens this was finished with a
coat of wax. I stamped a stampendous script to opposite corners
and onto craft card.
I attached cogs to the right hand corner and attached all the metal
embellishments.

I hope you have all enjoyed my post
and I hope you will all let me know what you think
Cheers Dee x

Tando recipe week by Dee

Hi everyone I hope you are all well and enjoying the summer it is lovely
to be able to get outside in the sunshine as I work in a basement in the
bottom of a quarry so enjoy the sun when I am lucky enough to
see it LOL! Today I have for you my take on recipe week,
I hope you enjoy it.

I used the square media boards which I had given a coat of Gesso.

Next I coloured the square with distress ink applied with a blending tool.

I stamped the 2 images onto card and coloured with distress ink for
the clock I gave a coat of crackle glaze.

Once the glaze had dried I used carbon black antiquing cream
and knocked it back. I put paste through the sequin waste
stencil and sprinkled on silver embossing powder.
Which was heat set.

The edges were given a coat of crackle paste that was painted
and treated with antiquing cream. Treasure gold was used to
highlight area's.
Thats all for today folks please feel
free to leave a comment or two.
Cheers Dee x

Things with wings by Dee

Hi everyone Dee here today with my take on things with wings
I hope you are all well and doing lots of crafty things.
I have to confess as with most of my pieces I had
no real plan just used pieces that I had been
playing with and off I went.
I used a Tando mixed media board that I had made for Ministry
of Mixology using Deco art texture sand and triple embossing
with Andy's stamps CURIOSITY & Toxic and a large
Tando circle.
The heart is the heart from the Andy Skinner Industrial Wings Kit,
on which I did an image transfer then coloured using media
acrylic washes.
The rectangle plaque is the centre piece from a name plate that
has been triple embossed with Stampendous
embossing powders. The very top is a hinge from the
Decorative Hinges pack (I love these). This was
painted with Deco art media paint & again
stamped with Stampendous Toxic then
Embossed with copper.
Media black antiquing cream to finish off.
That's it from me folks!
Cheers Dee x
