Embossed - A Party Layout

Happy Friday Tando fans! Dana here sharing a layout I created for the embossed theme this week. I used two of my favorite Cuttlebug embossing folders on the chipboard on this page. I love that Tando Creative chipboard is thick and sturdy, two features that make for a great embossed impression!

I colored this fun Speech Bubble with several colors of distress ink.

After embossing this Scalloped Frame, I covered it with a light coat of Gesso and then a coat of Mello Yellow Shimmerz Blingz.  I highlighted the embossed areas with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. After three layers of wet mediums and a trip through my Cuttlebug, this chipboard piece is still strong with no peeling or cracking!

I love polka dot patterns for birthday pages, so in addition to the Swiss Dot embossing folder I used on the frame, I also added some more dots with the Random Circles Mask and some paint. Once the paint was dry I doodled around the painted circles to highlight the pattern.  I used one of the painted areas as the base for this birthday rub-on.

BOO!!!!!!!

Hello!  I have an assortment of Tando leaves & bits & pieces and I have used them on this 4x4inch canvas.

I used the leaves mask for the background.  Except for the mushrooms, which are just painted, I have used glossy accents & then dropped alcohol inks into it.  I only used one colour for the leaves but I love the way it has come out all mottled.  Behind the leaves is a scalloped frame, which is part of a set and very handy to have in your stash, as are the leaves!

Scallop Nested frames

For this art board piece the background is thick high gloss card splattered with Alcohol inks.    The new Tando Scallop nested sets both square and rectangle have been distressed with lots of Distress Ink, and Inca Gold and arranged over the board.   Having decided on the layout Clarity stamps where used in the framed spaces.     To get the panel to stand on its own one of Clarity's handles has been stuck to the back.

This was one of those lovely messy projects when everything was given liberal coats of colour blended with both sponge and finger. The frames are great for this kind of thing making an art piece rather than a scrapbook page.
