Anything Goes - Tick Tock

Hi all

It's Anything Goes week and I have been playing with this lovely big (294mm x 294mm) clock face on a plain wooden clock.  It is still a work in progress.

I stuck the clock face on with silicone glue and then covered over the whole thing with plain white paint.  And that's it.  I need to decorate it some more but can't decide what else to do with it!!

What do you think I should do with it now??!  Any help appreciated! :)

Anything Goes - Canvas

I made this canvas for a male friends 50th birthday towards the end of last year...

painted with an ombre effect

This is what it looked like unpainted, which I quite like also...

painted plain white before ombre effect added

For the background of the canvas I used texture paste and two Tando masks - Diamond Circles and Stripes.

February Colours - Birthday Card

Februarys colour theme is lovely and muted and as I had some birthday cards to make I thought I would create one with this colour scheme in mind!

I used the Tando Creative Mask - Splatters to create the background, together with Distress Ink.  I then added some die-cut flowers, black gems and a sentiment stamp finished it off!

Here is the colour scheme to follow if you fancy giving it a go!

Black and Gold - Masquerade

Hi there!

This weeks theme is Black and Gold and I had a play with a face mask, some paint, and a Tando mask!

Create your own masquerade ball mask using a Tando stencil

This is a paper mache type mask so ideal for painting onto.  I used the Tando Creative Andy Skinner - Sunburst mask to create the effect with some Gold Viva Decor Ferro. Its not a quick process because you have to apply the design a bit at a time, but it creates a good effect.

Just need a masquerade ball to go to now!!

Christmas - A bit potty!

Hi there!

I have posted one of these pots for this months Tando Challenge also, so pop along there if you want to take part.  But I thought it fitting if I showed you more of them here, to fit in with the Christmas theme.

Shabby Chic your pots with some Tando chipboard!

They started life as plain wooden pots and with a little bit of Annie Sloan chalk paint and a Tando chipboard shape they ended up as nice little pots, ideal to pop a little plant in and give as a gift!

I used Tando Creative Reindeeer Large Running...

and a pack of 5 Snowflakes...

Free For All - Christmas Card

Its another Christmas card from me this week - I have to take any opportunity to make one at the moment!

This is a simple one, using the Joined Snowflakes mask.  I dabbed Weathered Wood Distress Ink through and it made a nice gentle background for the glittery snowflake.

You can find this lovely mask on the Tando Creative website, along with lots of other Christmassy masks and chipboard. Take a look!

Christmas - Card

At last I have made a Christmas card!  I have a few more to make but at least its a start :)

I used the Kaz Boughton Trees and Leaves Mask which comes in three parts and I used the spotty part of the mask - I think I will be using this quite a lot and I did use it on a card I made a couple of weeks ago too which you can see here!

Tree and Leaves 3 part mask

I used Distress Ink to create the blue and pink tones on this card.

One card down and about 100 to go!

Black, White and a Colour - Large Peg

Hi all!  This week I have decorated a large peg to fit in with this weeks theme of Black, White and a splash of Colour.  I must admit to not having much of a splash but rather a whisper of colour...

I painted a large peg white and using the Tando Long Flourish Mask I inked the design onto it and added a little bit of red ink too.

Long Flourish

'NOTES' was stamped and I glued a magnet strip to the back so it can be on the fridge holding notes!

Free For All - 21st Birthday Card

Hi everyone!
Great projects so far for this Free For All week!

I needed to make a 21st birthday card and used a Tando Creative mask to create the background.

The mask is Trees and Leaves by Kaz Boughton, but as this is a 3 part mask I used the bit which would normally be used for apples or blossom!  I love the random spottiness of it and will probably use it quite a lot for backgrounds - I love spots.

Trees and Leaves mask
Its a bit blowy outside at the moment.  Not sure the trees in my garden will have any leaves left at all once it subsides!  Will probably end up looking like the tree in the above mask!

Have a great day x

Animals - Christmas Decoration

I wasn't sure what to do for this weeks 'Animals' theme but when I was sorting out my Christmas crafting stuff I found this little felt reindeer hanging just crying out for some added decoration!

Its nearly Christmas!!

I used the Snowflake mask and inked through so that I could then follow the design with the beads.  Easy to do, watch TV at the same time, and a great way to use the masses of seed beads I have!!

Snowflake Mask

I need to get into Christmas crafting mode and I think this Snowflake mask will get quite a bit of use!

Orange and Black - Card

Hi folks!  Its raining hard here as I do this post, thunder and lightning too!

Happy Birthday!

Its my daughters birthday today and I have tied it in with this weeks theme of orange and black and still with a summery feel to it, despite weather to the contrary!

I used Tando Mask - Ink Splatters.  I inked black first and then moved the mask slightly to add the orange just away from the black.

The chipboard dragonfly from the Bug Set small was inked and I then added Sepia Glossy Accents to the wings before adding pearls for the body.

Have a great day all...here's hoping for a bit a sun today!

Inchies - Wrist Wrap

Hi there, Caroline here with my take on this weeks theme of Inchies!

I used some stenciled canvas left over from the Love Canvas I made for the dominoes theme, to create the inchies which I then made into a Wrist Wrap!

To create the design on the canvas I used the Harlequin mask with fabric ink.  The harlequin design was enhanced then with beads and buttons and bits!

Autumn Colours - Little Canvas

I've had a little pack of hardboard canvases forever and a day and I finally cracked open the packaging and worked with one!

Apples are from my tree!

To tie in with this weeks theme of Autumn Colours I thought Kaz Boughton's mask - Tree and Leaves  would create the ideal scene for showcasing those glorious autumnal colours.

Tree and Leaves

I used Distress Ink to colour the main parts of the design and then used some Viva Decor 3D Glitter Gel to create some 3d effects for the leaves and apples.

Autumn is my very favourite season, I love all the colours in nature at this time of year, don't you?!

Free For All - Decorate a Cake!

I love how versatile stencils/mask are!  I baked a chocolate cake for my son before he headed back to Uni this week, and I knew one of the Tando Creative masks would be an ideal way to decorate the cake.

I used the Andy Skinner-Sunburst mask on this cake, although any of the masks would leave a fab design!  All you do is wait for the cake to cool completely, and then place the mask on top of the cake and sprinkle on some icing sugar.  Remove the mask and you are left with the design.  Love it!

Sunburst
If you like the look of this Devil's Food Chocolate Cake then pop on over to my blog where I have posted the recipe.  It really is delish!

Tag It - Fabric Tag

Hi everyone, Caroline here with this weeks theme of Tag It!

I decided to make a canvas tag.  Firstly I sprayed randomly with mist sprays and then used a couple of masks to add to the background.

I used the Tando Sequin Waste mask and the Andy Skinner Baroque mask with ink to add the spots and part of the Baroque pattern in the top right corner.

Sequin Waste

The spotted heart was backed with some hessian and sewn onto the tag and I added beads, French Knots and brads and I backed the whole canvas with felt, before then finishing off with ribbon.

Black and Purple - Decorated Box

Hi everyone!
Caroline here with this week's theme of Black and Purple.  I seem to have quite a collection of plain white gift boxes so I decorated one of those!

I used the Random Circles mask together with Viva Decor 3d Glitter Gel to create this raised effect on the box and lid.  So quick and easy to do.

Random Circles

Just apply the gel over the mask and lift away.  Leave to dry, preferably overnight.

I decorated the inside of the box with a little bit of wadding and some black felt.  Place the gift inside and tie with ribbon! :)

Dominoes - Love Canvas

Hi all!  Caroline here with this weeks theme of 'Dominoes'.

I thought right outside the box here and decorated a canvas with fabric pieces the same size as a domino - 2"x1"!

I cut long strips of canvas two inches wide and then decorated them using Tando Creative's Harlequin mask and ink.
Harlequin

I then sewed each blank line created by the stencil, and cut into one inch lengths to create the separate dominoes.  I stitched each one onto an 8"x8" piece of canvas and added the 'love' sentiment which was stamped and then chain stitched before adding to the canvas.

This whole piece was sewn to a 10"x10" canvas which I had painted.  I added the framed effect by using the Stripes mask with some Viva Decor Terra.

I then decorated the whole piece with some seed beads.  I have to have busy hands whilst watching the TV!
