Anything Goes Week- Fiona Randall

 

Morning all it's Anything Goes Week here on the Tando Blog.

I love the Tando Matchboxes both the deep and the shallow versions.

They lend themselves to so many decorating options and I just can't stop paying around with them.

I have used the medium shallow matchbox for my project this week.

I started by applying Modelling Paste through my Star Shower Stencil to the top and sides of the matchbox. I then took one of the Matchbox inserts and  and applied the  Tando Harlequin extra thins to opposite corners and The Tando Flourishes to the opposing opposite corners.This was then glued to the Matchbox top. Next step was to stamp and emboss onto a piece of black card using one of my new stamps from the Sacred Set. This was then cut to size and attached to the the resin frame. The frame was then attached to the top of the matchbox. The whole matchbox was then given a coat of DecoArt Chalky Finish in Carbon making sure I got into all the nooks and Crannies. The whole piece was then dry brushed with DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics. I used a mix of Dioxazine purple mixed with Silver Metallic to create a Metallic Purple shade. DecoArt Metallic Lustre in Goldrush was then applied to highlight all the high points. A fun project to create and this one is to store my bracelets in.

Black, White and a Colour - Large Peg

Hi all!  This week I have decorated a large peg to fit in with this weeks theme of Black, White and a splash of Colour.  I must admit to not having much of a splash but rather a whisper of colour...

I painted a large peg white and using the Tando Long Flourish Mask I inked the design onto it and added a little bit of red ink too.

'NOTES' was stamped and I glued a magnet strip to the back so it can be on the fridge holding notes!

Sympathy with Tando: Clean and Simple

Hello my dear crafty friends!

 IRIT is here again and this time with my clean and simple project. Hard for me to make those kind of projects as I am usually a messy crafter, so I decided to make a Sympathy card as those cards can't be messy, but simple.

I used one single  background stamps from VLVS , heat embossed it and added some paints over the spots.

Then I heat embossed this fantastic Tando Book Plate chipboard with black embossing powder and added a sentiment inside. The last touch was this Tando corner, white heat embossed and added on the right upper side of this card.

As you can see  TANDO chipboards can be used for clean and simple projects if we keep  2 tones or less  colour palette and use small chipboards.

Vintage Frame - Unforgettable

Hi, Caro is here. Today I have an ikea frame where I put a little layout into. For that I used Prima PP, Distress Ink for blending and chipboard flourishes and a chipboard camera.

Winter Colors - Let it Snow!

Hi, here's Caro. Welcome to a new week and a new theme! This week we will show you some projects with winter colors ... well that was easy as those are my favorite colors :)

I have created a card with the beautiful patterned papers of BoBunny and a few chipboards of tando: Tando Mini's Snowmen, Tando Mini's Stars, Flourish 6 small.

Mirror, mirror on the wall ...

Welcome to a new week - a week where we would like to show you some home decor projects.

Here's Caro and it's my turn to start with my project. I have altered an ikea mirror.

As you can see I have cut many pieces of paper, stamped on them (stamps are by Tim Holtz) and sponged them with Distress Ink. Then I put some embellishments and an old Jeanstag on it, added bakers twine and these gorgeous flourishes and a cog of Tando Creative which I have colored first with Distress Stains.

Back to school

Hi, Caro here again ... As school has started everywhere again, we have thought to show you some "back to school" projects. I'll start this week with two creations and I hope you like them.

Metallics - Layout "Wasserratte"

Hi, Caro here :) ... This time I'd like to share a layout I have made using the beautiful corner flourish. First I have used it as a mask, then I sprayed it a bit more with Glimmer Mist, dried it and afterwards embossed it with silver embossing powder.

I love how the silver colors coordinate with the sprinkling of the water.

Jumping High

My daughter Lauren jumping on her favourite horse Darci. I have used Echo Park's Summer Days paper and the large Tando Flourish has been painted black and a few buttons added

Helloooo, its Karen here and some more flourishes!  These large flourishes are just great to use on scrapbook layouts!  I am showing you two this time on separate LO's...

I have kept the LO's fairly simple as I feel that the photographs are the main interest, especially as they are of my little niece Millie...don't they create some lovely photo opportunities? hahahaha  Both the swirls have been painted with acrylics and then a light covering of fine glitter over the top.

hehe in case you are wondering why there is cow on this one its because her nickname is Moo...poor thing!!!
