Time to Love wall decor with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Tando blog post. Irit is here today.
This time I made a wall decoration made on the base of Tando clock chipboard and tied the twine around it for the spot of my  embellishments cluster.

The whole piece was glued first with Gel medium and when dry it was covered with black gesso.
Then it was painted with a mix of DecoArt gold  and copper metallic paints with different textures.
Stampendous Encrusted embossing powders were added using Jewel Bronze kit . Most of the surface was covered then with Crackle glaze and then waxes were used to get this metallic effect.

The paper and silk flowers were painted over just in the same way and got this same metallic look.
The heart cluster was made with layers of Tando chipboards one over another and the full list can be seen in the product list.

Product list:

Textures 1

Textured Hearts

Steampunk Wings and Cogs

Frantage Jewel Kit: BRONZE

I hope that you like this wall deco and see you soon with another Tando project.

Altered Book Box

Happy Sunday! Hi Gez here sharing an altered book box with you today for the anything goes theme..

First thing to do was to design a layout of chipboard pieces, this was so much fun! I've included pieces from the [3 clocks in 1] set, a lock from the [Locks and Latches] set, a heart from a [Grab Bag of Hearts], four of the gorgeous arrows from the [Arrows Grab Bag] and pieces of one of the fabulous [Lace effect borders].

I then added some textured stencilling through the [Letters] mask and also the [Sequin Waste Mask] so much fun!

Everything was glued into place and given a generous coating of white [Gesso]

While this was drying I added scrunched up paper to the spine using [Matte Medium]

I added as much texture as possible!

Once everything was thoroughly dry I set about painting the box with a few chosen colours, [Primary Yellow], [Green Gold], [Cobalt Teal Hue] and [Quinacridone Magenta]

Then...................... getting LOST in the PROCESS !! My photographing ceased !!!!!!

And for a while everything turned pretty ugly !!!!!

After too-ing and fro-ing with [Titanium White], [Carbon Black] and even a little [Gold Metallic] paint.. I was happy !

A couple of butterflies were added to the finished dry book box for decoration and embellishment from the [Butterfly Grab Bag] they were treated to a delicious coating of Stampendous [Spoonful of GOLD DUST] and [Aged Rose Embossing Enamels] oh my goodness they are so yummy!

Oh !!!! Those textures shine through !!

Love the brush strokes on the spine!

Such a fun project!

Thank you for calling and leaving a comment if you get the chance.

 Happy creating, Gez ♥

Anthing Goes - One Heck of a Good Time Layout

Hi Tando fans! Dana here today sharing a fun Summer layout for the Anything Goes theme this week. I recently took a vacation to my family lake house. My brother and sister also brought their families. It is not often that we can all get together. We took these photos of the kids on top of their new toy, a go-kart supplied by Grandpa. The older kids had a blast driving up and down the beach! Once the excitement died down, we were able to bribe them with ice cream to pose for a couple of pictures!

I built up layers of patterned paper and a journaling tag to form a colorful photo mat for my larger picture. I then adhered it on top of a medium-sized clock, from the 3 Clocks in 1 Set, that I stained with black mist.

I selected some stars from the Grab Bag of Mini Stars and colored them with red ink and glued them around the page for some bright accents.

You can find this chipboard and more in the Tando Creative Retail Store! We'd love to have you join the Anything Goes Challenge! To be in with a chance of winning some great Tando goodies of your choice, please make a piece based on our weekly themes and link your project, not just your blog, using the inlinkz tool located at the top of the Tando Blog. You don't have to use any Tando product, but, if you do, you will be entered into the draw twice! There are no limits to how many times you enter, however, we do request that you only enter your piece for 5 challenges. We look forward to seeing your creations!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Anything Goes - Tick Tock

Hi all

It's Anything Goes week and I have been playing with this lovely big (294mm x 294mm) clock face on a plain wooden clock.  It is still a work in progress.

I stuck the clock face on with silicone glue and then covered over the whole thing with plain white paint.  And that's it.  I need to decorate it some more but can't decide what else to do with it!!

What do you think I should do with it now??!  Any help appreciated! :)

Black, White and Orange with Dana

Hi Tando fans! Dana here today sharing an arch that I created for the Black, White and Pop of Color theme this week. I love a good pop of bright orange and I had a lot of fun putting this piece together. I used an arch that I had leftover from the Layered Arch with Cobweb as a base.

I covered the smallest clock from the 3 Clocks in 1 Set with light molding paste and orange embossing powder.

I used a piece from the Large Scalloped Bunting to finish the bottom edge. I applied a coat of black acrylic paint to the bunting and then highlighted the scallops with a white pen.
