Product Focus- Twinchie Christmas- Fiona Randall

Morning all Fiona here with a Product Focus Project.

I am really enjoying Seasonal makes at the moment so decided to create a focal piece using Tando Twinchies.

This is quite a large project but so fun to create using scraps of Scrapbooking paper from my stash with Tando Minis to further decorate the piece.
I started by adhering a piece of Scrap Book paper to a 12x12 piece of Tando Grey Board and inked the edges with Ground Espresso Distress Ink.
Next up I cut the squares to cover my Twinchies using a 2 inch square punch from christmas themed scrap booking paper. The paper squares were then adhered to the 25 Twinchies needed and the edges inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Numbers and words were then stenciled and stamped onto the twinchies and coloured with Glitter Gel Pens. Glitter was then added to the Tando Stars and Snowflakes. The Tando Bells and Holly were coloured with Glitter Sparkle Pens.
The Twinchies were then arranged onto the board and Glued into place. Finally the Tando  Stars, Snowflakes, Holly and Bells were glued into place to finish.
A fun project with limited supplies but so effective when complete.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and read.
Do check back the rest of the week to see what the rest of the team are creating.
Fiona xx.

Twinchie

Hello everyone!  HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

This week is all about a colour theme and for this year I have challenged myself to use *twinchies*.  They are great value at £1.90 for 10!!!!!  It will be interesting to see how much I can get on a 2inch square hahaha!  Here is the first one...

Lots of texture here.  I used the little *distressed sequins mini mask*  and laid down some *texture paste*.  When it was dry I added acrylic paint till I was happy before adding a layer of *crackle glaze*.  The little *star* has been painted to match. The colour theme:

Thank you for popping by, take care, Karen xxx

Anything Goes - Feb

I'm kicking off February's Anything Goes week  with the card I made for my Dad's birthday.

I started by using a piece of the {Grid Round}  that I'd previously soaked and split and sprayed with spray ink. I then painted some {Mini Stars} and a {Mini Balloon} and doodled on them.

The base of the card and the jagged strip are cut from gelli prints. I've inked through the {Tyres Stencil} on the card base and then assembled all the bits and pieces, finishing with a Digi image and a greeting.

No Return Mixed Media Board

Hi! Dana here today sharing the mixed media board I created for the Bird theme this week. I saw Black Sabbath on Sunday night and my ears are still ringing! The show was absolutely amazing. It was the first, as well as the last time, that I will see the band, as this is their goodbye tour. I was inspired to created this piece after the show.

I started with a Mixed Media Board. I added an uneven coat of DecoArt White Gesso with a spatula to create a textured base. I colored the board with Gelatos and Distress ink and added some stamping around the edge using the Nathalie Kalbach Bird 3-Piece Stamp and Stencil Set. Next, I added a row of rolled resin paper as a fun colorful base for the next layer of this project. I topped the paper rolls with a Mini Bird that I painted with DecoArt Carbon Black Fluid Acrylic Paint. I then added a trio of Mini Stars that I covered with a layer of Spoonful of Gold Dust. (The only thing more sparkly than these stars was Ozzy's shirt!) Lastly, I finished this piece with some Black Sabbath song lyrics.

You can find the chipboard I used for this project, and a wonderful selection of DecoArt products, in the Tando Creative Retail Store.

Anthing Goes - One Heck of a Good Time Layout

Hi Tando fans! Dana here today sharing a fun Summer layout for the Anything Goes theme this week. I recently took a vacation to my family lake house. My brother and sister also brought their families. It is not often that we can all get together. We took these photos of the kids on top of their new toy, a go-kart supplied by Grandpa. The older kids had a blast driving up and down the beach! Once the excitement died down, we were able to bribe them with ice cream to pose for a couple of pictures!

I built up layers of patterned paper and a journaling tag to form a colorful photo mat for my larger picture. I then adhered it on top of a medium-sized clock, from the 3 Clocks in 1 Set, that I stained with black mist.

I selected some stars from the Grab Bag of Mini Stars and colored them with red ink and glued them around the page for some bright accents.

You can find this chipboard and more in the Tando Creative Retail Store! We'd love to have you join the Anything Goes Challenge! Peel It Back - ATC Notebook

Hi Tando fans! Dana here today sharing an ATC size notebook for the Peel It Back Challenge this week. I soaked a white lined Artist Trading Card in water until it was saturated and then carefully pulled the layers apart.

Once the chipboard was dry I used the thicker piece for the back cover of the notebook. I covered the thinner piece of chipboard with patterned paper. I painted a Mini Heart with red glitter paint and a Mini Star with yellow acrylic paint to create a layered embellishment for the cover.

I cut pieces of graph paper to fit between the covers. I used a hole punch on the covers and pages and attached all the parts together with a jump ring. I love that Tando chipboard keeps its integrity even after being soaked in water!

Black and Gold Christmas Card

Hi Tando fans! Dana here today sharing a card for the Black and Gold theme this week. I applied black rub-ons to a piece of gold cardstock for a festive card base.

I then adhered this layered snowflake, that I topped with a Mini Star that I painted gold, for a bit of dimension. This card was quick and easy to put together! There are 25 pieces in the package of Mini Stars, so you could send handmade greetings to everyone on your list and still keep the cost low!

Desert Arch - Black and Brown

Hi Tando fans! Dana here today wrapping up the Black and Brown theme this week. I started with an Arabian-Style Layered Arch Frame and created this nighttime desert scene with some of my favorite song lyrics and a camel stamp. I added lots of sparkle with iridescent gold paint and several colors of glitter glue.

I used a portion of the Neil Walker Geometric Book Cover Kit for the sand and added a Mini Star to the night sky.

The lyrics are written by Chris Cornell for the Soundgarden song Burden in my Hand and read:

So follow me into the desert as thirsty as you are.
Where the moon is glued to a picture of heaven...

Anything Goes - Mini People Dominoes

Hi Tando fans! Dana here today sharing a set of dominoes for the "Anything Goes" theme this week. If I had a penny for every time my husband said "That's what she said," I'd be a very rich woman! I thought it would be fun to alter some dominoes, one for him and one for me. The NEW Mini People were the perfect size for these Straight Dominoes.

I embellished the background of the dominoes with the NEW Long Flourish Mask and the Dotted Star Mask. I added some Mini Stars that I painted a bright yellow for a fun pop of color and some strips of clear patterned washi tape.

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to stop back tomorrow. We're sharing a special project created by the mega talented Neil Walker!

Blue and Black card by Kaz

For my black and blue creation, I made a card:

I used the diamondey part of the ~{Sewer Mask}~ and randomly inked with two different shades of blue onto the card blank. Then I inked through the circle part 3 times and doodled around it.

I took 3 stars from the ~{Mini Stars}~ and a ~{Mini Arrow}~ and painted them with black acrylic paint, then used Glossy Accents on them. When they were finally dry, I dotted some blue paint onto them and attached them to the card.

I finished off with some stamping (details on my blog).

Party Invite!!

I've made an invitation to a New Year Party for my project this week.

I started off with a card blank and did a Pan Pastel strip down it, then used Pan Pastel through the~{Clock Mask}~. I love the way this gives a shaded look straight off without using a second colour. The trick is to get a good bit on the sponge. I gave it a good spraying with a mega cheap hairspray - cheap seems to work better than posh ones!

I then took two of the stars from the ~{Mini Stars}~ and painted them with acrylic paints, inked the edges, smudged white pencil on the middles and doodled on them. I stamped the words in place.

I gave two balloons from the ~{Mini Balloons}~ the same treatment.

Two arrows from the ~{Mini Arrows}~ were painted and then everything was stuck in place. I finished off with some doodling and rub on letters.

Free for All - Masks and layers

It was lovely to receive some of the newer masks to have a play with, and the first I tried out was Andy Skinner Sunburst mask which is a great size for 12 by 12" pages.

I started by scrapping texture paste through the mask and it gives a really nice clean finish, I also like the way the mask draws your eye into the photo too.   I then added some green and brown mist, allowing some of the green to drip down the page.  Next I added layers of paper and then a chipboard star and hexagon button.  I covered them in a thin layer of gelato (pastel) and then added some glossy accents on top with a sprinkling of glitter which just adds a little more sparkle.

Orange, Red and Yellow Card

There has been some gorgeousness on the blog this week hasn't there?

Here is what I made for the colour theme. I love how the Mini Range is perfect for accents on cards

I had so much fun making this one. I started out doing the stripes using part of the ~{Evolution Mask}~ then painted the arrows from the ~{Mini Arrow Set}~ and some stars from the ~{Mini Stars Set}~ with Fresco paints. I doodled and put Glossy Accents on them.

I used a cute stamp with watercolours and a strip of washi tape on card before finishing off with the greeting.
