Citrus Colored Door Hanger

Hi friends! Dana here today sharing a door hanger that I painted up for the Color Theme this week. The fun selection of Tando Stencils and Masks helped me to add some life to this piece of chipboard.

I used the Cogs Mini Mask, both masks from the Leaves Set of 2, and the Poppy Mask here. I added a piece of Grass Flexistrip along the bottom of the hanger.

This color palette is super fun! If you'd like to join us, we'd love to see your work in Tando's Creative Zone on Facebook. You can find the chipboard and masks I used for this project in the Tando Creative Retail Store.

Ministry of Mixology with Lisa

Hey folks! Lisa here, welcome to my post for the Ministry of Mixology kits week.

Here is my creation...

I used the Ministry of Mixology Andy Skinner frame. I also used DecoArttexture paste, lots of DecoArt Media Acrylic Paint and some products from Stampendous. Which are all available from the Tando website.

For the inside section of the frame, I painted a 3D paper mache heart with DecoArt Media paint and added some sparkle and texture using the Bronze Frantage Encrusted Jewel Kit from Stampendous.

I had a really good time playing with the Ministry of Mixology Frame. It's an excellent kit to try out loads of techniques on.

If you would like to see my creation in more detail,
pop over to my blog.

Ministry By Dee

Hi everyone I hope you are all well!
What a treat for us this week to be altering the Ministry
of Mixology kits.

This was my piece that I did when I attended my first Ministry
of Mixology retreat. I won't go into that much detail
but the whole project used Deco Art
Media mediums and paints.

A few beads and glitter from my stash along with a triple embossed
butterfly. The stamp used is an Artistic stamper butterfly.

Lots of Andy's techniques were used with a bit of glitzy bling.
& treasure gold.
Cheers Dee x

More Mixology!

Hello, its Karen here today with my project using The Ministry of Mixology kits.  I have chosen to use Andy Skinners Frame from the 1st Mixology Retreat.  Some absolutely fantastic things have been done decorating this kit so I thought I would do something a little different - use patterned papers and pink!!!!!

I glued all the MDF parts together then painted it in a deep mauve. The upper chipboard setions have been covered with paper.  I couldn't help but grunge them up a little :-D.  I added the stamped image before I added the top section and then couldn't resist adding a bit of black lace and some black flowers haha!

There are lots of other bits in the kit which I didn't use, such as nuts and bolts.  But they will come in for something else.

There are more pics over on my Blog.
Thank you for popping by, take care, Karen x

I have used a couple of the stars from the [Grab Bag of Stars]

and coated them with a generous dusting of Silver Halo glitter mix from the [Frantage Jewel Kit]

The word [Create] was painted and decorated for the title..

I can't wait to start using this journal, hoping it will help keep me motivated through the miserable winter months.

Thank you for calling and leaving a comment if you get the chance.

Happy creating Gez

Ministry of Mixology - Door #3

Hi! Dana Tatar here today sharing a door that I created for the Ministry of Mixology theme this week. I used parts from the Andy Skinner Industrial Elements Set for this piece.

I first treated the chipboard with a layer of DecoArt White Gesso. Next, I painted the chipboard with DecoArt Fluid Acrylics (Primary Yellow, Red, and Cyan), a layer of DecoArt Crackle Paste, and another layer of acrylic paint. I dirtied up the pieces with DecoArt English Red Oxide Antiquing Cream and Black Soot Distress Ink.

Once the pieces were glued in place, I covered the entire door with a coat of Clear Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint. To accent the keyhole, I added a decorative metal plate.

You can find the chipboard I used for this project, and a wonderful selection of DecoArt products, in the Tando Creative Retail Store.
