Tando Technique Wednesday

Wednesday again and Joanne and I are back with another in our series of techniques tried on the grey and white board Gorgeous Tando products...this week we are exploring the effects of viva decors Terra and Ferro paste.  These products have been on the market for quite sometime now...the Ferro paste is coarse and grainy and quite dense - its comes in a wide range of metallic colours.  The terra is a smoother paste and its colour palette is more earthern.....

Our techniques this week have shown the grey and white board to both react in the same way and able to sustain wet product and heat and water without any side effects at all.

This week Joanne has created this gorgeous arch...

A covering of terra was applied and then heated then perfect pearls added...some twinchies were added to the bottom and these had ferro pushed thro' plastic canvas and then perfect pearls added to them - as the product is so thick its really kept its shape being pushed thro' the plastic - really great look isn't it.. pop along to Joannes blog for more details....

I have used an 8x8 piece of greyboard for this first piece....
This piece had ferro and terra on the base which was then marked with the edge of a spatula and bottle top - this was then heated, painted and then heated, then perfect pearls added which was then spritzed with water....despite all the product thrown at it the greyboard has remained stable and showing colour and texture well....this piece will be seen again over the following few weeks...

For my second piece I wanted to try some whiteboard to see if it reacted the same way as the greyboard...it did! it withstood the wet paste, heat, paint, heat and perfect pearls and then inka gold too...
This is using an atc.....
this time a swirl stamp was stamped into the terra paste before heat was added then the paint....

what to do with it?

how about
Further details of both items are on my blog.

Thanks for visiting us today - don't forget we're back again next Wednesday.

Joanne and I still have several more techniques and products to share with you over the coming weeks, but, should you have anything specific you'd like to see leave a comment and we'll see what we can do.

xx
