Christmas Sleigh

I made this sleigh a while ago and took it to the Craft Barn demo filled with sweets.

It's been painted with Viva Decor Inka Gold in Red and the flourishes on the side have been embossed with gold and finished off with UTEE.

CHRISTMAS SLEIGH

ooo Christmas is coming!!!!!  I love this time of the year when we start our Christmas crafting...that is before we get fed up with it all haha!  Its Karen here and I have been doing lots of painting, stamping & embossing & a little sewing on this...

This gorgeous 3D SLEIGH is part of the CHRISTMAS 2010 COLLECTION.  Well, I had all sorts of plans for this one ...funny how things work out.  I was going to really go to town with embellishments but in the end decided that I liked the shape too much to detract from it!  It has been painted with 2 thin layers of antique white acrylic paint. ( TIP:  don't overload with paint or paper or the pieces won't fit together.  Its a lovely snug fit! )  I stamped all over with snowflakes & gold embossed them before adding my crackle glaze to 'age' it.  I couldn't resist making a 'blanket' to go inside...
