Anything Goes - Boat Hanging

Hi friends! Dana here today. I've altered a portion of the Boat Hanging for the Anything Goes theme this week. With Monday being Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, I used one of his quotes on this piece.

I painted all the pieces of the boat with a layer of DecoArt White Gesso. Once that was dry, I mixed up a colorful palette of fluid acrylics using DecoArt Primary Magenta, Cyan, and Yellow. I glued the porthole circles to metal coin for a more nautical feel. Once all the pieces were dry and glued together I added the quote with a black pen.

You can find the chipboard I used for this project, and a wonderful selection of DecoArt products, in the Tando Creative Retail Store. We'd love to see your creativity! Share your work with us in Tando's Creative Zone on Facebook.

Under the sea..

Hi Gez here, I am delighted to be sharing a project with you today using the 'oh! so gorgeous' [Boat Hanging]

A beautiful lazer cut hanging consisting of a boat, 2 fish and a whale... which also comes with pre-cut base for the boat, portholes and a flag..

Oh... I do like to be beside the sea-side...!!

No need to Gesso the pieces, I went straight to painting and doodling.

Thank you for calling and leaving a comment if you get the chance.

Under the Sea Card

Hi friends! Dana here today sharing the card I created for the Under the Sea theme this week. I absolutely love the fish from the Boat Hanging. I covered the fish with a layer of bright orange embossing powder and attached him to a simple shaker card.

I recently created this mixed media board with the other fish from the Boat Hanging Set. Please CLICK HERE to read more about how I assembled this piece.

You can find the products that I used for this piece in the Tando Creative Retail Store! Thanks for stopping by today!

Watercolor Mixed Media Board

Hi friends! Dana here today sharing an under water themed Mixed Media Board for the Watercolor Theme this week. I'm longing for Summer and the warmer months so I was inspired to create this fun beachy board. I painted a Mixed Media Board with acrylic and watercolor paints and then used the Long Flourish Mask to add a light aqua swirl over the top of the blue base to help create depth. I added some texture to the border of the board with some chunky blue embossing powder.

I used the top layer from the Oval/Teardrop Jewelry Design to replicate a piece of coral. The bright orange fish is one of a pair from the Boat Hanging. I finished this piece with some mini paper flowers, clear stickers, shells, a rub-on and some doodled bubbles. I'm ready to hit the beach!

You can find the products that I used for this piece in the Tando Creative Retail Store! We'd love to see what you create for our Watercolor Challenge! To be in with a chance of winning some great Tando goodies of your choice, please make a piece based on our weekly themes and link your project, not just your blog, using the inlinkz tool located at the top of the Tando Blog. You don't have to use any Tando product, but, if you do, you will be entered into the draw twice! There are no limits to how many times you enter, however, we do request that you only enter your piece for 5 challenges. We look forward to seeing your creations!
