Hello and I am back with some more Christmasy makes ;-p This time I have been playing with the *Christmas Stockings* and made some bunting!
The 7 stockings have been covered with old book paper and then dry brushed with some gold. I didn't use the stocking tops but used some old lace instead to give a more vintage feel. They have been threaded up with wooden heart buttons and string.
Please keep popping back for more inspiration on how to decorate our chippie! If you fancy joining in then do take a look at this months tab at the top of the page.
Thank you for looking, Karen x

Quick and Easy Cards and Gifts
The focus for this week is quick and easy cards and gifts....so I created a mixture of both.
This is the gift part - the little glassine envelopes will be filled with smarties which correspond with the stamped instructions! They make a great treat for teachers of tree present, or just a little thank you for a friend. I used the Tando mini snowflake which I covered in white ink, and then inked the edge with distress ink, and also the mini reindeer just covered in brown ink and glossy accents.
For the cards- I layered up lots of offcuts of paper and then inked the stocking with some red, and the cuff with a matt gold colour, I then covered it all in glossy accents and whilst that was still wet sprayed on some red glimmer mist which is why you get the watercolour spots on the stocking.
A really simple card for my last one - I used the snowflake mask as a stencil, just using a gel pen, and then found the co-ordinating mini snowflake which I covered in white ink and stickles, the final touch was to stamp Merry Christmas.

Festive Decor
Hello my dears! How are you all getting on with Christmas crafting? We are all about HOME DECOR for this week and with Christmas in mind (its my turn to host this year haha) I looked to doing something for the festive table. I found 4 of those plain round wooden napkin rings in a charity shop for 50p...what a bargain eh!!!
I painted them with a light coat of old gold acrylic and then heat embossed gold around the edges. I used 4 little stockings from the Tando Mini Range. This is a fabulous range. The chipboard is a lot thinner and suitable for putting onto cards, into journals and just about everything else. You get so many in a pack too! The main parts of the stockings have been painted red then crackle accented and the tops have been covered with fine white glitter. The 'stuff' behind it is cut from a big snowflake decoration that I found in B&Q :D.
Have fun with your Christmasy makes, HUGS, Karen xxx

Christmas Stocking
I haven't created many Christmas things this year but when I came across a piece of paper that I had inked, sprayed and splodged (technical term...lol) on some time ago... I just knew it would look great on the Tando Christmas Stocking.
So I got out the modge podge and after glueing the paper on....I wasn't disappointed .
I even managed to bling it up a bit with some shiny gems.... just a little different from the usual red 'n' white stocking and a welcome addition to my Christmas decorations.
Hugs
Chris xx
