August Colour Theme - Hope

Hello there!  I just love the mix in this months Colour Theme, they are really sunny and pretty!  I decided to make something bright and sunny for you with them adding a quote that made me smile :-D

I used a 7x5inch canvas as my base and covered it with pieces of old dictionary pages before painting it lightly in the yellow shade.  I love these wings from the WINGS SET and used the other colours from the palette on them.  The heart is from the HEARTS GRAB BAG and I chose to paint it green adding a teensy heart from the MINI RANGE.  I painted up some card to stamp my letters on and added a wire hanger.  Oh and the colours , nearly forgot to show you...

Here is the pack of really pretty wings...

Painting Week with Dawn

Helloooooooooooooooooo,

I'm here to round out the painting technique week for you all.

Paint is definitely my 'go to' medium as it is so very versatile. Any kind will do but I tend to stick to fluid acrylics through personal choice.

One of my favourite background techniques is to paint and stamp on top of the paint with a slightly darker ink to achieve a lovely subtle effect...............

Hee hee can you tell I love bright colours too!!!!!

Here is what I used.............

Arches Week

Hello lovely people!!!  I am kicking of this weeks theme of ARCHES.  Tando have lots of ARCH design that can be used , look *here* and through this section *here*.    I have chosen to use the *Triple Arch Frame* for my piece.

I gave my project a foodie theme and does anyone really prefer washing dishes to eating out? hahaha!  I added a knife and fork from the *Cookery Set* and a little heart from a *Grab Bag* to finish it off and a little loop on the back to hang it by.  The quote has been stamped.  You can find more information on my blog *here*

If you would like to join in with our challenge and make something with an arch this week then please go to the page at the top of the blog where you will see a link.

Thank you for looking and do come back for some more Archy ideas, HUGS, Karen xxx
