Nathalie Kalbach Urban by Dee

Hi everyone I hope you are well. Today I have a piece
notebook made using a  Nathalie Kalbach stamp
and Tando mixed media boards/stencil.

I folded Card  x 4 and cut to fit then painted with Gesso followed by
Deco art chalk paint, I set this aside to dry.

For the covers I used mixed media boards that I gave a coat of Gesso
prior to putting black modelling paste through  the tire tread
stencil to both top left & bottom right of the front cover.

I mixed primary magenta with tinting base and painted the entire
2 media boards once dry a coat of weather wood again when dry
a coat of crackle paint. I used the sequin waste stencil
randomly put black modelling paste through.
I also gave the edges a scrap of paste.

Once dry I used a media interference in turquoise and gave a
coat over both boards. The urban stamp had been
stamped onto stamping card and painted with watery washes
of green and burnt umber then cut out
and given a coat of mat medium.

Patina green followed by Black antiquing cream was used
over both boards and knocked back once happy i affixed
the urban skyline onto both boards and fixed in the pages.

Anything Goes - Wings Arch

Hi friends! Dana here today sharing an arch for the Anything Goes theme this week. I used a pair of butterfly wings I found on a recent walk, some of my favorite Chris Cornell song lyrics, and some DecoArt mediums to create this piece. I started with a Gothic Arch Layered Frame; one base and two frames for this design.

I painted the chipboard first with a coat of DecoArt Gesso, and then an assortment of DecoArt Fluid Acrylics. Next, I added some stamping and paint splatters. I finished the top frame piece with a coat of DecoArt Liquid Glass.

Thanks for stopping by today! You can find the chipboard I used for this project, and a wonderful selection of DecoArt products, in the Tando Creative Retail Store.

Splatty Flower Card

Following on from most of my other recent posts, I've made a card using another of the soon to arrive card kits:

I've inked through the {Mini Splatters Stencil} onto white card and cut them out. I've added water to the ink from the ink pads and added small splatters to the card blank.

I've painted some {Minin Flowers} with acrylic paint and once dry, added glassy accents to the centres. I've then added Bronze Glass Glitter fro the {Stampendous Bronze Frantage Kit} to the centres. One dry, I've used acrylic paint to colour them before adding doodles and a stamped greeting.

Garden art : Tando recipe week with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Tando inspiration.
This is a TANDO recipe week and our recipe for this week is one square (the art piece shape), two stamps (Stampendous Kaffee Klatch set you can buy from Tando) and three obvious buttons over the piece.
I made it with Tando Bullseye  stencil  and DecoArt Modelling paste and the whole Media line from DecoArt that is in Tando shop.
Tando chipboard flowers from Flowers with stems grab bag  were just painted with black fluid acrylic paint and so were  painted the edges of this piece that was made over Tando packaging. What a great use and makes my Green soul happy!

Tando recipe week by Dee

Hi everyone I hope you are all well and enjoying the summer it is lovely
to be able to get outside in the sunshine as I work in a basement in the
bottom of a quarry so enjoy the sun when I am lucky enough to
see it LOL! Today I have for you my take on recipe week,
I hope you enjoy it.

I used the square media boards which I had given a coat of Gesso.

Next I coloured the square with distress ink applied with a blending tool.

I stamped the 2 images onto card and coloured with distress ink for
the clock I gave a coat of crackle glaze.

Once the glaze had dried I used carbon black antiquing cream
and knocked it back. I put paste through the sequin waste
stencil and sprinkled on silver embossing powder.
Which was heat set.

The edges were given a coat of crackle paste that was painted
and treated with antiquing cream. Treasure gold was used to
highlight area's.
Thats all for today folks please feel
free to leave a comment or two.
Cheers Dee x

The pink cover has been stamped with Stampendous' Mish Mash Stamps.  I stamped a face onto some cream card and overlaid the smallest scalloped frame, which was painted lilac.

August Colour Challenge with Lisa

Hi folks, Lisa here with my take on the August Colour Challenge.
And I think summer has officially started this week - finally!!!
This week's theme is the colour challenge. And with summer here, August's colour palette is just fitting.

Here is my creation...

I picked the Hot Air Balloons from Tando for this project as most people choose the summer time to travel and with the colour palette, I wanted to create a sunset background with balloons floating through the sky.

I decided to create a tag for this challenge. I chose a selection of Distress Inks to work with.

I randomly applied each chosen colour of ink to different areas of the tag making sure to blend the edges where the colours met. I then sprayed on water from approx 18", left it for a few seconds, then dabbed the water off with paper towels to create a mottled effect over the inking.

I then covered the tag with clear embossing ink and heat embossed it with clear powder. I completed this method twice to create a nice smooth feel.

I painted three of the hot air balloons with white Gesso, then gave them a coat of DecoArt Crackle Paint. When the paint was dry, I applied three of the Distress Ink colours to the balloons.

I then stamped the balloons with a travel ticket stamp from Lost Coast Designs using Smokey Grey Ink.

To finish, I adhered the balloons, the biggest towards the front of the tag, and added some ribbon and string at the top of the tag.

If you would like to pop over to my blog to see some more creations for the Tando Challenges, I'd love to see you over there.

Thanks for popping by,
Lisa x
