Anything Goes Continued!!!

Today I have a mans card for you.  There is no chipboard involved but I used the stamps and stencils that we sell...

 

Lightly dry brush some Quinacridone Gold over the Kraft Card and when that is dry do the same with Cobalt Turquoise and a little Primary Magenta.  When dry overstamp with Nathalie Kalbach's MARKS stamp in Archival Black.  Dab some white acrylic through the Mini Mask Numbers as shown.

 

Stamp the eye from Andy Skinners Curiosity stamp set using Archival black and colour in (I used the same colours as before but watered down)  Cut out and attach to the centre of the base using a sticky pad.  Dry brush some white acrylic around the outside.  Attach the panel to a white card base.

Chipboard book cover with Irit: Anything goes week

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to new Anything goes post.

Today I am going to share  my new chipboard mini book cover made with bare Tando chipboards and Mixed Media DecoArt products.

 First I need to say that the background mask is not really a mask but a die I used for the texture paste as I wanted something small and didn't find the small Tando mask in my pretty large stash.So I used the very old metal die and added the DecoArt texture paste over it.
Then I painted the inside and outside of the book cover with a mix of Media line paint and added the small book plate over the cover.
Fun metals and flowers cluster was added for the interest to the cover.

 Here are some close- ups to the painted , stencilled and painted cover.

I decided to stay in grey- blue and purples and to make it vintage dark in just three colors.

Metal pieces, small chipboard plate, fabric and paper flowers were also painted into the matching colors.

Mixed Media Boards with Lisa.

Hi folks and welcome to this weeks post for Tando Creative. This week the theme was mixed media boards.

Tando Mixed Media Boards are fabulous small boards which can take loads of layers of different products. They are fabulous for having a play with and trying new techniques with. 

I used three of the 74mm x 138mm mixed media boards for this project.


Here is what I did...

First, I gave the boards with a coat of DecoArt white gesso then painted them with DecoArt Media Acrylic Paints. 

I then used the Tando 4 x 4 clock mini mask with DecoArt white modelling paste on the background.  

I added DecoArt Crackle Paint randomly over areas of the boards to add some texture.

I used the Tando 6 x 6 sequin waste stencil with the DecoArt paints. I added more layers using a chevron stamp and a Mini Textured Checkerboard stamp. 

I used Stampendous Frantage Embossing Enamel in Shabby Green on Tando holly flourish. I also used the Frantage on some paper flowers and added some white natural raffia. I also recycled some onion netting packaging which I painted to make it darker and added some glue to some areas and adhered microbeads.

I used a selection of stamps which I stamped on to acetate with black Stazon Ink. I cut the acetate wider than the mixed media boards and adhered each side of the acetate to the back of the board to create a bubble over the front of each board. 

I really like this project of mixed media boards. They are so versatile to use and just the right size to create fabulous mini projects.

Mixed Media boards by Gez

I have two Mixed Media boards to share with you today as seen on TV!

The background was created using a [Mixed Media Board] 74mm x 138mm DecoArt [Fluid Acrylics], rubber stamps and the [Clock Mask], these boards are just the right thickness so they don't buckle when heated up or wet!

The second mixed media board 80mm x 116mm available [HERE] was also painted and then more paint was added through the [Tree Mask]

Both mixed media boards were then embellished with laser cut greyboard birds from the following sets.. [Whimsical Birds 1] and [Whimsical Birds 2] 

These Mixed Media boards were so much fun to make! The mixed media boards come in a set of five and each set of Whimsical birds come in a set of six. So lots to play with!

Media Boards inspiration with Irit

 Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Tando project.

This week we were challenged to make something with Tando Mixed Media boards.

So I made this altered tag with the smallest board and a lot more of Tando chipboards and stencils.

As you can see the background was made with Tando stencil and DecoArt texture paste.
Then I added a half of Tando gate chipboard. Over the chipboard I added Tando wings that were stamped over.
On the top I added resin casted piece and stamped and die cut images (Inspired by Stamping).
I decided to stay in greens and copper shades only and used copper wax over the chipboards and copper embossing powder over the stamped pieces.

Media Boards

Hi folks just a quick post of a piece that I did a while back, I love

this little cat stencil from #Stampendous/Dreamweaver.

(Retro Sitting Cat)

I used a Banksy style to decorate three Tando mixed media boards 

these are the best substrate to use as they don't buckle no matter 

what you throw at them. 

 I started with gesso then followed with lots of Deco art chalk Paint

 pale lilac underneath and a pale blue were used to stencil

through. 

 I brayered on Deco Art Chalky finish paint in
 Escape then Romance

followed gently by Inheritance.

I used the same paints to stamp with Andy Skinners Toxic

& the post mark from the shabby chic stamp set. 

black modelling paste was put through the distressed 

sequins stencil and the edges of the media boards.

Media Board Week

Hello, Carol with you today, kicking off this weeks theme of Media Boards.

The Media boards have been very popular since they first came out, initially, in two different chipboard sizes now there is a wide range - see here for the range….

I enjoy working on the chipboard boards and a lot of my dt pieces are worked using these as my base.

I have created two boards for todays post:-

Number 1

I added grungepaste thro the long flourish stencil and then once dry painted in orange, yellow and red acrylic paints…. I then rubbed a versa mark ink pad over the raised areas, pressing harder in some areas, and then added some aged gold embossing enamel.  My bird was painted using the same paints and then the popular white dots added… lol

Number 2

Slightly different to number 1 - still using the media board as a base, grunge paste was added thro the mini criss cross stencil  and then paint added to the board… I paint directly onto the chipboard, but, you can always put down a base coat if you wanted.  I painted a house from the whimsical houses set 1 using the same colour way, doodled and added some text.
