Hi! I have had a lot of fun with this teensy bird house! Its sooo cute as it only measures 3inches high :-D
I covered the main parts with paper (BG Indian Summer) and painted the inside bright yellow as you can see when it all slots together! The roof has been attacked with Viva Croco in Blackberry then dabbed with the new Cosmic Shimmer drawing inks (my new best friends haha). I then went round all the edges with a gold krylon pen. A few beads & some wire for the hanger finished it off!
Here is the pack you get. Its really easy to assemble!
Thank you for taking a look today, please pop by again soon as we have something new nearly every day!!! HUGS xxx

Large picture magnet
Mums always deserve gifts at any time of year and after my own was poorly recently I made her this large picture to display on her fridge. I used a sheet of 6" x 6" Tando chipboard as the base and covered it in acrylic paint and glitter (although unfortunately my photography doesn't show up the shiny glitter very well ) before adding the decoupaged image.
I cut a large piece from a magnetic sheet I had and glued it to the back of the bare chipboard and then I painted this beautiful piece to add to the top, also adding glitter before coating with diamond glaze and adding a teardrop gem.
As I didn't have the letters I needed I used the 'Mum' part from the Tando heart shown below and added it to the bottom of my piece.
It took a while but I think the result was worth it :D

Mixed media handmade art journal
The Tando chipboard sheets are so versatile and they can stand up to a lot of battering. In the making of my handmade art journal it certainly did that!!. I wanted to experiment and as sometimes happens I reached into my DIY cupboard to find something to have fun with. The first thing that came to hand was a tube of 'No More Nails'.... ok it's meant for putting up shelves etc lol... but I thought I could have more fun with it than that.
So I plastered it all over a piece of 6x6 Tando chipboard and then squished it (technical arty term) with my fingers, a comb, a bottle top and a pen until I got a design I was happy with. It takes a fair while to dry so you have plenty of time to move it about. I left it for a couple of nights to dry solidly and then used acrylic paint to add colour.
I ended up really pleased with the result and although I bent the chipboard in all directions to create some cracks it sprung back into shape really easily without warping.
I purposely did not use a spine for my book as I wanted to be able to see the stitching but a thin piece of the same chipboard could have been used to create one and would have been a sturdy protector of the spine.
The back cover of my art journal above is covered in a blend of acrylic paint only slightly textured as I wanted the journal to lay perfectly flat when I opened the cover and not wobble on the table. Below is a closeup of some of the texture.

A handy storage solution
Really taken with this Tando Chipboard desk tidy kit, it's a fairly new release from Tando and I was very keen to have a play. The Masks are even newer and proving to be very popular, thought it would be fun to make this a little retro bag.
There is a bit of a show and tell in the guides section of Craft-Room where Tando is available. Visit this list for a full list of suppliers.
This was fun with Cosmic Shimmer sprays, black Gesso and stenciling with Silver Pigment Ink. Now I've something else to keep things to hand and tidy in.

Splat!!
Another batch of new masks has just been released and I couldn't wait to get inky with the ~{Splatters}~ one. One on it's own looks fab as a 'layer' on a greetings card.
I've used Broken China and Faded Jeans Distress Inks over a masked stamped image for this speedy card.
