On the wings of love

If you take a look at the Tando products you'll see lots of lovely items to use for your Valentines Projects....For this piece I've used the heart with wings which comes in the "Valentine Symbols" pack...watch out for my other projects using the rest of the elements.  These packs are great value for money as you can use them for some many projects...

So, here I've used the winged heart:-

and this is the inside...

I got the idea from Craft Stamper and after making this one will definately be making some more.

Multi-Frame

As soon as I saw this ~{Multi-Frame}~ I knew I had to use it to showcase some of my fave characters by Daniel Torrente and Jill Penney from Stampotique. It's a bit like a bizarre Brady Bunch!

The frame has been painted using Eco Green Paints in Raspberry and then I added white dots using a Uni Posca pen - the best white pen around I think.

I've added text paper behind the larger frames and just white paint behind the tiny ones.

I've used Copics to colour all the characters and stuck them with silicone glue for dimension.

Opening Arch atc

I used the 'square gate' piece of chipboard from the same set as yesterday to create a blinged-up closure for my arch atc.  I added mini gems after painting with some textured paint that I had mixed with acrylic paint.

The ribbon was threaded through and wrapped back on itself through the openings in the chipboard piece and one side permanently glued with the other left free to re- thread the ribbon for closure.

Simple but pretty :-)

Altered cd

Napkin decoupage on a cd ...decorated with this fab Tando curly tree and fence with the addition of a girlie created with an image from Lisas altered art and part of a stampotique stamp.

I used copic markers to colour the chippie pieces because layering them allows for shadows as seen on the fence and tree trunk.

ELEPHANTS STROLLING ON CANVAS!

Hello, its Karen here & I have been playing with alcohol inks :D  I have to say, (although its not really the thing is it? ) that I was very pleased with this elephant!  So much that I begged Di for 3 of them as I had designed them so that they could go trunk to tail!

I covered them with gesso and glued on beads round the ears, tusks & toes.  Then I spread glossy accents over the rest & dropped in some alcohol inks...magic!  I kept the canvas fairly plain to show off the colours.  The elephants come as part of a pack with a cutie hippo and a cheeky lion.  Oh and there are 2 sizes to choose from too!
Thank you for taking a look today.  Please leave a comment to say you have popped by and do call again!  HUGS XXX

With both Valentines and Mothers day (UK) fast approaching card makers and scrapbookers are busy getting ready.

This lovely little word plaque makes a great embelishment for them.   For thid card it has simply been coloured with whisper felt tip pens and then a little matallic rub on touched over the edges.  This was topped with with clear ep.

These sweet little word embelishments come in packs of three.

Hearts and kisses Valentine board

I just  love to craft Valentine projects:they have red - one of my favorite colors to wear and hearts- great shape to use and says so much!
So this Hearts and Kisses board was perfect for the Valentine craft and here what I did with it:.
The board was covered with MME patterened papers and the shapes were painted with Ranger Worn Lipstick crackled paint . Then I  added some blings all over and a Love title with MME flocked velvet letters.
It's really fast and beginner level project- and a great present for someone  you love.

Music in the trees...

Hello, its Karen here again! This time using the larger of the leaf branches.  It has been swooshed with 3 colours of mica mists then string wrapped round the stem...

I love this quote from Minnie Aumonierwhich goes...

'There is always music amongst the trees in the garden, but our hearts must be very quiet to hear it'

... so I based my card around it.  I stamped trees & a music border in the background & set the leaf branch on top.

Thank you for poppong over today, HUGS XXX

And all that Jazz

Made this tag for a challenge the other day and thought it would be nice to share it with you all as well.

A lot of fun working with these chipboard instruments they take colour so well and topped with distress stickles. Being diamensional hanging them to swing works as you can just flip them over and colour both sides.

Instruments come in packs of three these are from two different sets

Cogs clock face

I was given an old clock  to take apart by a friend a little while ago ... I thought the clock face would be a fabulous background for the Tando cogs.  I don't do masculine projects very often so it made a nice change.

I used a gold permanent marker on the chipboard, layering it for light and dark shades....

then used the cogs as mini frames for these images from Crafty Individuals.

Clouds

My little boy has been unwell recently and to cheer him up we have been doing some scrapping together.
This layout features a picture of him with one of the baby rabbits when he was at my friend's house playing with them
We have used Echo Parks Little Boy range and the Tando Creative clouds have been sprayed with white Mica Mist.

Navigation

Been playing ended up with a pretty cool Man's card.   For the longest time thought the stamp and FP would be enough but then justed tested the compass and had an ohh moment.

Compass sprayed with mica paint and then touched up with silver paint.   The words Happy Birthday stamped around wheel in stayzon.   Right thats one Men's card sorted for this year.

These naked chipboard compasses come in packs of two, one little one large.

Fairy town

I had lots of fun with all these lovely Tando chipboard pieces making a fairy village.  The little girl in me coming out to play I think...lol

I covered the buildings in acrylic paint and then doodles flowers and leaves with sakura glitter pens.  I added tiny gems and put my fave flaky glitter onto the roofs.

I made some little stand up fairies with images from Lisa's Altered art... aren't they cute :-p

The addition of the street lamp, tree and post box made sure that these little fairies have everything they need and somewhere cute to live.

Just a note

Just wanted to simple little card to suit someone musically minded folksy person.    So a little masking and stamping and this smashing acustic guitar.   Sprayed with a sparkly mica spray, strings etc drawn on with Sakura pens and just a little gold EP to dress it up just a little bit.   The Guitar is one of a set of three string instruments (see stock picture below) each of which is just the right size to use as a card embellishment.

Home hanger

I finally used the letters from the heart hanger set to make my own  plaque.  If you remember I previously used the hearts for other projects.  I had lots of fun with this ... layering and making flowers and cutting some yummy basicgrey paper.

The letters are covered with some metal that had been put through the script cuttlebug embossing folder.
With the thin metal then adhered to the chipboard I coloured the surface with peeloff marker pens and then sanded it back slightly to expose the silver metal beneath.

A few paper flowers and a twisted wire hanger and hey presto... another pretty to hang in my living space.

Happy crafting

Smelling the roses!

Hello, its Karen here!  I have been crafting with the exquisite little wrought iron gate!  It certainly doesn't need much doing to it because its prettiness is enough.  I have made a birthday card for my Mum in her favourite colours.

I have kept the card fairly simple which she prefers :D  The rose & leaves are stamped & cut out and the gorgeous gate is just painted with purple Brilliance!  Here is the gate in all its glory (it comes in 2 sizes, I have used the small one) ...

Thank you for taking a look today.  Do pop back every day for something new & exciting from the fabulous design team :D  Take care, HUGS XXX

Once upon a time....

there was a sweet girl who really wanted to go to the ball.  She didn't have the usual crown and pretty dress so didn't think she had a chance of making her dream come true.....

that was until she found the Tando pumpkin carriage and realised that even if she didn't have a ball to go to she could still be princess for a day :D

Who knows while she is enjoying her ride in her carriage... she may just find her own Prince Charming  who will help her to realize her dream eh.

The carriage is a fab size for a box frame I found .... I painted it with white acrylic paint as a base and it just had to have the glitter treatment although it doesn't show up too well in my photos. I used thick flaky glittery stuff that I got from the  £1 shop.... I love the texture of it and it just shows crafting doesn't have to cost a fortune.
