From the time Di first introduced the printer tray's to the Tando range I've wanted to have a play.
Last evening made up this little Tando printer tray. The set comes with three top pieces so you can make it as deep as you want, for dimension all three pieces were used here. You can find the full details on my blog This Little Place
There are lots of different Printer Trays to try, the one I've used is The Mini Octagonal one.

This and that with Tando and myself
I just realized that I have a few Tando projects never seen in Tando blog, so I decided to make this quick post with them. Not many of chipboards used on those projects, but they are the Major (like title) or the most interesting part of the project.
So this first is a scrapbooking page, made for Pretty Little Studio sketch post and for WOW Embossing Powders Winter 2012 CHA booth- and shipped to the show a while ago.
I used Tando DAD title covered with a wide range of embossing powders, layer by layer.
Another scrapbooking page with Tando corner- I am so glad I still had this last corner for this monochromatic baby page made with Glitz products.

Clock
Hello! Like Kaz I am trying to get ahead with present making this year as I got really caught out before last Christmas :-D Here I have made a clock using an 8x8inch canvas.
The background is a mix of paint, paper & stamping. Then I used a coloured modelling paste through the ~CLOCK FACE MASK~ . Using the ~BAMBOO MASK~ I just dabbed black brilliance ink through the section I wanted. I working clock mechanism completes it.
Thank you for looking today, HUGS, Karen x

Flip List
I've started making gifts to try and be organised and have begun by making a Flip List Book using two of the ~{Home Sweet Home}~ houses. It's a bit tricky to take photos of it all in one!
I've covered both sides of the houses with pattered papers and sanded the edges, then embossed a ~{Wavy Twinchie}~, painted it white and inked the pattern. I've painted a dragonfly from ~{Bug Set 1 small}~ and 2 butterflies from the ~{Butterfly Grab Bag}~ then stamped them and inked the edges.
I've cut some paper to size and then bound it all together, adding ribbons and beads and charms.

Love Notes with Tando
There is nothing I like more then to alter those fantastic mini printers trays and this one is the most recent I made.
This time it was made with Swedish paper company named Pion Designs - they design in vintage style and it was just perfect for this new tray.
The cover was paper covered, stamped, heat embossed and over embellished- my style, messy and shabby. I also used Epiphany crafts handmade buttons and a lot of other products.
The inside is less messy, but still full of those Valentine's items: hearts, flowers, love sentiments and 2 more Tando chipboards from this Town set.
I think this Tando product is just a MUST! You must buy it and you MUST alter it!
The best of the best!

Focus on Isabelle....
We featured a fantastic printers tray that Isabelle made a while ago HERE .....well, there's more!! Just look at this gorgeous house shaped tray that she has decorated....
You can find all the details on THIS blog post here, there are some fab close up's as well as some stunning trays decorated by Isabelles students. While you're there please do take a look round Isabelles blog, her art is truly stunning, so inspirational.
And....if that wasn't fantastic enough, Isabelle has kindly allowed us to embed the tutorial for the calendar tray and another fabulous tutorial. You can find them below but I have also put a new page on the Tando blog for tutorials so you can find them easily in future. They will be going onto the website too at some point.
The other tutorial is to make this stunning calendar, the link to Isabelles blog post for this is HERE and the tutorial is underneath.

Wavy Bottom Arch
Tando Wavy Bottom Arch's come in pairs, this is the mate to the one I used the other day.
This time it the Tando Chipboard has been coloured with Viva Inca Gold and then stamped. Cropadial punches the board easily for the eyelet. Surprising sometimes how easy the chipboard is to cut or punch when you think just how much punishment it will take with paints and other mediums.

time flies....
As this is my first post for 2012 I'd like to wish you all Happy New Year...
My first piece for Tando uses the fab clock face and hands and I've used them on a canvas....
The tando piece has been coloured using distress inks and then stamped with versafine ink...the whole piece was then covered with crackle glaze. The clock hands were enamelled.
For full deets visit my blog.

SONG BIRD FLY card!
Hellooo! After all the Christmasy colours I really felt like getting my different paints out & just making something fairly bright :-D This 14x14cm card has been Tando'd hahaha!!!
For the background I used the Music Mask with some DI. The cage & bird have been sprayed with shimmer mists and the scroll, which I used for the branch, was sprayed with plain spraymist.
Thank you for taking a look today, please pop back soon! HUGS, Karen x

On my Soap box
So re-purpose it I did. Some beautiful 12x12 that has been in the paper stroking box for years was used to cover it, rather like wrapping a present.
Next Sorted through my stash of Tando Chipboard. selecting a wavy bottom arch, a key and lock plate and on the sides arch's within an arch. All Tando coloured with Inca Gold either in gold or green.
Next some of the Tando was stamped and embossed with White EP. A sheet of 12x12 Vellum cut into and part of the flower pattern stuck to the front of the box. Another bird stamp added in Brilliance ink the design highlighted with clear gems. Some white cotton lace stuck around the top of the box. DST run down sides and covered with gliding flakes. Finally some pale green ribbon stretched over the back, the top ribbon has a glass bead threaded onto it, and a single piece of ribbon stretched over the front also with a glass bead.
Here are the sets I used

Steampunk card
I've made a card for a man using some of the steampunk range, which is always a good failsafe for the tricky cards.
I've used Bronze Croco paint on the large cog then rubbed Inca Gold into the cracks. On the others I rubbed the Inca Gold on first before rubbing some Versamagic ink to distress them. Lastly, the key had Inca Gold on first, then clear Croco and finally the inkpad. The greeting was stamped using Stazon.
So the chipboard works really well with any combo of products!

All things vintage mini printer tray
I am totally in love with Tando mini printers trays and this is a third one I did- this time it's this 15*15 cm one with a cover and I spent about 10 hours to finish this project. Hope you like it as much as I do.
The cover was paper covered, stamped, heat embossed and then some home die cuts were added, the spine was done with embossed and painted grungeboard and I added 2 hinges home die cuts with brads. The most effective part is this Tando Scalloped Circle frame covered with paints and distressed crackle glaze.
Now the opened one
The close look on the inside left part, using Tando Book plate covered with Ranger crackled paint
A you can see I made a lot of stamping here and clustering the images
And the tray part- all about vintage things inside, some stamping on canvas, lot of paints too
I think it's a most Mixed Media project I made for the last year..
And here are our products for this project
