Hi there! Today sees the start of our monthly colour theme and its a pretty one ;-D Lots of girly colours to choose from! I have decorated the lovely *LOVE WALL ART* hanging...which is a fairly new addition to the Tando collection. It measures 19x19cm and you get all the elements shown in either MDF or chipboard. I just love the 'retro' feel of this.
I used every colour from the colour pallet below. The smaller MDF boards have also been covered with scrunched up printed tissue paper to add some texture.
The wings and hearts have been stamped with a lacy stamp and gold embossed to add more texture. I have also gone around the plain hearts with an embossing pen and gold embossing powder.
If you would like to have a play with these pretty colours at all throughout the month then please enter our monthly challenge where we pick a winner at random....lots of goodies can be won!!! Just look at the page at the top of our blog for the links.
Thank you for looking today and do come back for some more interpretations of these pretty colours. Hugs, Karen x

Stencil Card
I'm rounding off Stencil week with a little garden card:
I mixed up some DecoArt fluid acrylic with their Modeling Paste and put it through the new ~{Mini Mask - Distressed Sequins}~ directly onto the card blank to make a kind of bushy thing. I then used the ~{Garden with Watering Can Stencil}~ with inkpads to add the sun and some clouds.
I've added stamped 2 gnomes, coloured them with Clean Colour pens and a waterbrush, and finished with a couple of flowers, a typed quote and some doodles.
You have a couple of days left to join in with any of our themes this month before the prize draw to win some goodies. Don't miss out! ~{Join in here}~.

Stenciled Layout - Yesterday by Dana Tatar
Hi Tando fans! Dana here today sharing a layout for the Stencil theme this week. I used the Stripes and Giovanna Spiral stencils with Dylusions Spray to quickly create a colorful background for this page. I saved a birthday card for the cool Beatles overlay and finally used it on a project with some of my favorite lyrics from the song "Yesterday." I finished the page with some cardstock stickers, acrylic frames and a doodled border.
You can find an amazing selection of stencils in the Tando Creative Retail Store. We'd love to have you join the Stencil Challenge! To be in with a chance of winning some great Tando goodies of your choice, please make a piece based on our weekly themes and link your project, not just your blog, using the inlinkz tool located at the top of the Tando Blog. You don't have to use any Tando product, but, if you do, you will be entered into the draw twice! There are no limits to how many times you enter, however, we do request that you only enter your piece for 5 challenges. We look forward to seeing your creations!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Love is in the air : Stencils week with Irit
Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to our Stencils week here in Tando blog.
Irit is here and this time with some very simple scrapbooking page.
Also I use Tando stencils almost in every single project, I decided to make a layout with some of those stencils as my background.
This page was done over Kraft cardstock with light cream texture paste and two masks:
Long Flourish and Have you say masks.
I also added this heat embossed Love title to my Mixed Media simple page as you can see.
Cute/Love title
Long flourish mask
Have you say mask

Stencil week
Hi Carol with you today… I just adore stencils/masks and Tando Creative not only have a fab range, but, they are so durable too….they take all mediums really well and so easy to clean…so, for this week I started off with a mixed media board and made this:-
I did intend to add Andy Skinners lady from the vogue mask/stencil in black over the top of this piece, but, I couldn't do it..lol
Masks used:-
Mini masks - distressed sequins and distressed diamonds
I still had this image in my head about the vogue stencil in black so made this:-
The base is a straight edged large arch and had the same stencils as the first piece, only this time, I added the smaller image from Andy Skinners children mask, along with the smaller balloons and some doodled strings….
Pop on over to my blog for more details.
Don't forget you can join in with any of our weekly themes and be in with a chance of wining some fab goodies - just visit the tab a the top of the page.

Mask/Stencil Week - Journal Page
Hi All,
another journal page from me this week (sorry!! ish) as this is where I mostly use my large collection of stencils and masks when I'm playing.
I wanted to take some layer by layer process pics for you but I got a bit carried away so they start from layers 4 and 5...........
I started by laying down some collage fodder, using some birthday wrapping paper and some text printed tissue paper. The second layer applied was some random background stamping followed by a third layer consisting of blocks of different coloured acrylic paint. The fourth layer was a darker coat of acrylic over the whole page.
Hmmmm! I'm not sure if you would count stage 5 as a layer really as technically I have taken something away rather than added it? Anyhoo, using multiple Tando stencils (distressed diamond mini, Giovanna Eighties, distorted harlequin, distorted hive, Neil Walker Random 3 and diamond circles) I removed some of the 4th layer of darker acrylic by placing the stencils where I wanted them to go and rubbing through them with a baby wipe (a technique I first became aware of via Dina Wakely), how much or little you remove is entirely up to you.
Layer 6 consists of some gesso applied through the distressed sequin mini mask.
Layer 7 was my border and highlight layer, the border was simply a run round the edge with a large black india ink brush pen followed by a white gel pen to add the dashes. I added highlights/detail by replacing the masks/stencils on the page and used a black fine liner to add the bits I wanted.
The final 8th layer consists of a quote (my own as far as I know!) and a focal point. I felt that the page needed a large image and chose to leave this black and white for more contrast, it is a large mixed-media doll stamp from my stash (Prima) stamped onto white card.
Here is what I used................

MASK/STENCIL WEEK
Hello, its Karen here kicking off our MASK/STENCIL week of fun!!! Tando Masks, or stencils if you prefer are extremely sturdy yet still very flexible. I have used mine with all sorts of mediums, from paint to very textured paste. They clean up superbly, usually with some washing up liquid and a nailbrush but I am a bit lazy and tend to leave mine until the medium is truly dried on (so naughty) and if the nailbrush won't shift it, I spray on oven cleaner, leave for half an hour and then wash!!!! You can also put them in the dishwasher hahaha!!!!! We have a lot of different designs to suit all tastes and as well as our own designs we have well known designers who have designed some- Andy Skinner, Neil Walker and Giovanna Zara as well as our own lovely Kaz.
For my project I have used 3 different masks (I will list them later) and made up a large canvas.
Lots and lots of layers on this one if you look closely. I added some stamped and watercoloured flowers (Chocolate Baroque) and a quote. Some close ups...
I shall be writing a tutorial for this one soon which will be available of the Tando Website so do look out for it if you fancy making something similar! These are the masks that I used:
Andy Skinners beautiful *Baroque*

Anything Goes Journal Page
I got this Anything Goes done by the skin of my teeth again! As you can now buy a selected range of ~{DecoArt Media Products}~ in the ~{Tando Store}~, I wanted to wait until my order came through, and I'm glad I did as they are awesome products!
I started off finger painting with some fluid acrylics then mixed some of the ~{White Modelling Paste}~ with ONE drop of ~{Dairylide Yellow}~ and put it through ~{Codebreaker Mask}~. Fell in love with them instantly!! There's so much pigment in those little bottles and only using a tiny bit to get intense colour means they will last for ages.
I then mixed some White chalk paint with TWO drops of ~{Cobalt Teal}~ and ~{Quinacridone Violet}~ and painted 2 of the ~{Mini Pack of Birds}~. I didn't use the wings as my journal is in danger of never closing again! You can see how bent the pages are, I couldn't get a flat photo!
I've used the ~{Clear Liquid Glass}~ to make raised dots around the circle.
I used the leftover paint to add highlights and general mark making on the background. Then finished off with washi tape, doodling and a typed quote.

Anything goes with Irit: Happy day
Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to another Anything goes week in
Tando blog.
This time it's about me layout and I used my most favourite Tando mask to make my texture paste and misted sun.
Then I used those Happy Day word from the Valentine words set to make my title.
I know, I don't look happy here... I try not to smile while taking photos as I always look older smiling... Don't know why, but it's a fact of my life.
So I am happy! Really!
Just don't show it to the world.

Anything Goes - Tick Tock
Hi all
It's Anything Goes week and I have been playing with this lovely big (294mm x 294mm) clock face on a plain wooden clock. It is still a work in progress.
I stuck the clock face on with silicone glue and then covered over the whole thing with plain white paint. And that's it. I need to decorate it some more but can't decide what else to do with it!!
What do you think I should do with it now??! Any help appreciated! :)

Anything Goes Week - Journal Page
Hi all,
I had a play in my journal for this weeks theme, lots of painty, stenciled and doodled fun was had..........
If you fancy joining in with any of this months themes please add your work through the link at the top of the page to be in with a chance of winning a prize in the March Challenge.
I had a play in my journal for this weeks theme, lots of painty, stenciled and doodled fun was had..........
I started the page by scraping acrylic paint on with an old membership card, more paint was added through dotted star and long flourish. I stamped some subtle text on both sides too. The main focal point was created by drawing through Giovanna - profile onto the back of some patterned paper, this was then fussy cut and added to the page before using the stencil again to stipple a black acrylic border onto the profile.
I finished the page with a stamped sentiment and some doodling in black and white.
Here is what I used......
Many thanks for popping by and leaving a comment if you feel you would like to.

Inspiring projects from Jennifer Colman
At one of the recent shows we went along to we met a lovely lady called Jennifer Colman. I am always interested to see the makes of our customers and Jennifer very kindly emailed over some pictures of our HOME hanging kit and Stationery Box....
Well......I think you'll have to agree, these pieces of art are amazing, absolutely beautiful, take a look below.
Now I was soooo inspired by the coathanger idea that I asked Jennifer if I could use it, she agreed so I have now done my own version of this home hanging which I will be teaching at Colemans Craft Warehouse at the beginning of May.

Anything Goes Week!
Helloooooo! Its another 'anything goes' week and I am showing you a box that I made up to store sewing threads. This was made as a Christmas present and I forgot to take a pic of it loaded with cotton reels but it takes around 36 standard reels. Its just the right depth :-D
I have made up the basic *Tic-Tac-Toe* box using different colours of acrylic paint. The *Sew Simple Set* elements added have also been painted. I added thread around the cotton reels and stamped a 'tape measure' around the edges of the lid. Here are the kits I combined...
This box is lovely and sturdy and although I have given it a sewing theme, it could be decorated in a lot of different way. This project will be out in kit form soon so if you fancy one do please look out for it on the website *HERE*.
If you fancy entering our monthly draw then you are welcome to have a go with any of our themes through the month. Just enter a link to your work on the tab at the top of the blog.
Thank you so much for looking today :-D, Karen HUGS xxx
