Morning all Fiona here with my latest project for Anything Goes Week.
As November is an important month this year I thought I would pay tribute to all those who gave their lives for our freedom.
“Wearing a poppy is a mark of respect and thanks to all those who gave so much for our freedom and democracy we have today, especially this year as we mark the Armistice centenary.”
I used The Tando Art Room which I believe is now no longer available to create my piece. I used the
Brick Mini Mask from Tando with DecoArt Modelling paste applied to the top back and sides. Once dry this was painted with DecoArt Premium Acrylic in Dark Grey Value 3 and then dry brushed with DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic in Transparent white to highlight the bricks. Poppies were then stamped, die cut and painted using DecoArt Media fluid Acrylics in Cadmium Red and Napthol Red Light. The leaves were the stamped, Die cut and painted with a watery wash of DecoAt Media Fluid Acrylic in Green Gold. These were then all assembled and glued to the Art Room. Tiny crosses were then die cut from white card and glued inside. To finish Remember was stamped with Black Versafine Ink onto cream cardstock and mounted onto an off cut of Tando Grey Board to give stability and glued in place, A couple of Vintage paper dolls were then added to complete the project.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by today.
Hugs Fiona.
