Colour Theme Week- Fiona Randall

 

 

This week is colour theme week and I challenged myself to come out of my comfort zone and take part.

Here is the colour palette for June and I must say it was the colours in this that swayed me to participate.

 

Here is my tag project.

 

 

The base is a Tando Long Tag  to which was added some old pencil crayons and then given a coat of gesso to have a neutral base to add the colours. DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics in Titan Buff, Cobalt Turquoise Hue, Cobalt Teal Hue, Quinacrodone Magenta and Quinacrodone Violet were layered in washes drying between each application and building layers until I was happy with the result. The sae colurs were used on the Stampendous Butterfly. Spatters of Titaniu White and Carbon Black DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics were then applied to the tag. The butterfly and sentiment were then added with some black thread to finish.
