Scrapbooking Pretty in Pink

Hello, its Karen here today with something 'Pretty in Pink'.  I have made a very simple scrapbook page using a gorgeous photo of my gorgeous niece, Millie.

For the background I used Andy Skinners mask - SUNBURST and Fresco paint.  It looked a bit stark so I put the mask back and added dabs of white over the top.  The BLOCK FLOURISH is a favourite of mine and is reduced at the moment!  You get 2 in a pack!!!!  I have decorated it in the same way as the background.  Both of these are available on our new RETAIL SITE.  Some lace and wording finish the page off.

Thank you for popping by and do keep visiting for more inspiration, Take Care, Karen x

Friends with Swirls!

Hellooooo!  This week we are using SWIRLS on our projects over at the TANDO CREATIVE BLOG.  I have been a bit nostalgic with mine and gone back to my earliest Stampotique stamps to create a 'friends' picture using a Tando Creative 6x6 inch  FRAME for my base as well as the BLOCK FLOURISH (you get 2 in a pack)

The block flourish has been painted in the same way as the frame using Americana Bahama Blue and then some accent dots stamped over in Orange VersaMagic.  The flourish was then glued to the top to become a part of the frame.  The background is patterened paper which has been gessoed and the same accent dots stamped randomly.  The dotty stamp is actually some waste packaging :-D  Always worth looking at plastic bottoms hahaha!

The figures have been stamped and coloured with Alcohol Markers and the sentiment is PC generated.  Here are the TANDO pieces that I used...

Thank you so much for taking a look today, HUGS, Karen xxx

Summer Colours card

I thought it would be a bit mean to make something grey and miserable which is the exact colours of our Great British summer, so I am hoping the warm colours of this card will encourage some sunshine.

I took a selection of flowers from  ~{Flower Grab Bags}~ and painted some and glued patterned paper onto the others. The painted flowers had a text stamp stamped onto them and the paper flowers had their edges filed. All have buttons for the centres.
For the greeting I painted ~{Block Flourish 1}~ in white and green and stamped on the block.

Word block flourish

Another make with the word block flourish found HERE.

Kaz has used black glitter embossing powder and white acrylic paint, she then finished off with a rub on to make this stunning card.

Word Block Flourish

Another gorgeous example of our Word Block Flourish, this one done by Caroline. This has such a lovely Vintage feel to it. You can see the raw chippie piece HERE.

Caroline covered the chipboard in an antique white Rub 'n' Buff paint, which when dry you can rub and it goes shiny, it works particularly well on chippie. She then inked lightly with a green and red ink.

The flowers are triple embossed with gold embossing in places too and a rub was added for the finishing touch.....fantastic.

A word block flourish

Next up is a useful word block with a flourish around the outside.

Karen has simply inked this but added the 2 gorgeous blooms and the title for a gift she is making.....absolutely stunning!
