Christmas Baubles

Hi there! Celia here with a quick Christmas crafty idea. I’ve decorated some of the large baubles. They also come in mini! 😍
I first primed them with Tinting Base so that my colours would be nice and bright. Then I applied some Crackle Paste through some stencils. (Distressed sequins and some Dylusions)

Then I painted them in some bright jewel colours (Cobalt Teal hue, Quin magenta, Quin violet, yellow green light, Pthalo blue, Vermilion - all DecoArt fluid acrylics), then used a crackle stamp with toning Archival ink colours for a bit more interest.

I added some interference paints for a bit of sparkle and used some thin gold twine for the loops. Finally some Treasure Gold on the edges and the crackle paste areas. I did this through the stencils to avoid getting gold everywhere.

Christmas card with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new card post and this time it was made with Tando gorgeous product  for their Card week.

Mixed media card are very trendy right now, but this is a pretty traditional Christmas card with non traditional products such as Tando mask and a painted chipboard.

I used a very traditional green and red BoBunny Christmas collection and added the ornaments with glitter paste using Tando Hanging Baubles mask .

In between I painted Tando gorgeous  Bauble ornament chipboard and added it over the card.

As you can see, even if you are not connected to Mixed Media cards or Mixed Media in any way, you still can make very regular Holidays cards with Tando products.

What better for Christmas week than something creative to hang on the tree? These baubles are simple, cheap and effective - and if you don't want to hang them on the tree they made a great focal point for a fun 3D card design.

The chipboard shapes are covered in FlitterGlu (or similar gilding glue) and gilding flakes - apply the flake, press into the glue and then gently rub off the excess before using a rough sponge to burnish the surface. Repeat on the back and edge with Krylon pen for a neat finish.

A quick bit of gold trim and some jingle bells and you're done! Want a flatter finish for a card? A Tando mini star or snowflake instead of the bells would be just the job!

Happy Sunday everyone! Don't you just love the slower pace at the weekends! I am delighted to share my creations with you today for the 'Deck the halls' theme..

I have been busy decorating some of the baubles from the Grab Bag of Baubles (large)

 Here are my finished baubles.. no tree up yet to hang them on but it won't be long..!!

The chipboard baubles were first sprayed with ink and decorated with gold acrylic circles before adding the little photographs and embellishments. Thank you for calling and leaving a comment if you get the chance.
