Christmas Trees

A lovely lass by name of She is hosting a chunky Grungy Book swap.   Unfortunatly a couple of people have had to pull out and She is making extra pages to complete the books for the rest of us.   Having to send a repaired page to She it occured to me that no one will be making an extra page for her.

The theme for She's book is a Grungy Christmas.   The trees are more Tando Chippie.   First off the chippie was coloured with AI and then sprayed with GM.   More stripped cardboard also coloured with AI and then spared with GM.   Silver Viva Ferro paste spread over lower third trees stuck into it.   White puff paint for snow on the branchs and along the bottom.   Baubles of Viva Gloss paint.

If you are already thinking about your next Christmas decorations and cards these Contempary Trees might just be your 'thing'.

Karen's contemporary tree

Karen has done a fantastic job on her Christmas tree.  The main part of the tree was painted with metallic teal paint.  The inner part was coloured in a lighter green and then glossed and glittered.

Rather than drop the inner part back into the tree Karen dropped it slightly to create a 3D effect....a stunning card.

And you must pop by tomorrow too, Karen has done a fantastic wall hanging......here's a sneak peek:

Contemporary Christmas Tree

Kaz has done a superb job here, she has made 3 cards from 1 piece and these trees come in packs of 2 so a bargain there.

As you can see, you can carefully remove the centres of this design to create 2 pieces in 1 but Kaz went one step further, she placed the tree with the centre piece removed onto a sheet of white Bazzil and sprayed with Glimmer Mist.  This created a mask which Kaz used on this card with a fabulous result.

The outer piece was then covered with Rock Candy distress paint and when it was dry, Kaz rubbed a bit of Peeled Paint ink into the cracks and stuck it onto bright pink card......gorgeous.

Finally the inner piece was sprayed with Glimmer Mist and some jewels added to create a beautifully simple, contemporary card.....stunning.
