Hello, its Karen here today with my *TREE*! I have used the Cloud Tree and mounted it onto a *MEDIA BOARD* .
For the background I sprayed Orange & Primary Cyan through the *DOILIE STENCIL* then added a coat of Clear Gesso to seal it. Some Neocolor II was then added in places. The Tree was sprayed with Yellow Green and over stamped. I covered the tree and a couple of patches of the board with Clear Crackle Glaze. The words are printed.
I used:
Cloud Tree
Mixed Media Board
Gio's Doilie Stencil
DecoArt Media Misters - Orange, Yellow Green & Primary Cyan
DecoArt Clear Crackle Glaze
Thank you for taking a look today! If you fancy joining us this week and making something with a tree then please take a look at Novembers Tab at the top of the blog.
Take care, Karen x

Peeled Tree
Hello! I have used a *CLOUD TREE* (pack of 2) to peel this week. I am pleased with how it turned out and that has to be down to he quality of the chipboard these shapes are cut from!
I dunked the top of the tree in water until it was wet through then gently peeled and squished each layer to how I wanted it to look when dry. Its pretty wet so I left it on a radiator overnight. They layers came a little adrift at the top but it was easy just to glue the centres of them back together again!
The tree was then painted with acrylic paint in different greens and some clear glitter glue applied in places. The trunk was also painted with acrylic. I decorated a *MEDIA BOARD* (pack of 5) for the tree to sit on, adding some stamping & stencilling (*MINI MASK*) to add interest.
Here are the products I used:
Thank you for looking today. Enjoy hugging a tree! HUGS, Karen x

Karen's contemporary tree
Karen has done a fantastic job on her Christmas tree. The main part of the tree was painted with metallic teal paint. The inner part was coloured in a lighter green and then glossed and glittered.
Rather than drop the inner part back into the tree Karen dropped it slightly to create a 3D effect....a stunning card.

And you must pop by tomorrow too, Karen has done a fantastic wall hanging......here's a sneak peek:

Little Tree Card
This is a fabulous card by Karen using the smaller of the 2 tree designs that were first showcased HERE.
Karen has used chalk ink first of all and then overstampled the tree dotting stickles over the stamping. It was mounted on to the super DCWV papers and she has added the first line of that lovely poem she used on the canvas.....a gorgeous card.

Cloudy Tree Canvas
This cloudy style tree comes in packs of 2 sizes. They are robust pieces and well suited to the fabulous canvas that Karen has created.
The tree has been covered in paper and given the shabby treatment. It is a perfect addition to the distress inked canvas.
What a fabulous piece to have hanging on your wall.
