Triple Arch Layered Frame with Dana

Hi Tando fans! Dana here today sharing an arch I created for the challenge this week. I used one layer from the Triple Arch Layered Frame for this project. The Triple Arch Layered Frame consists of 3 layers plus the back panel. This frame is perfect for layering up stamped images to create a 3D art as well as displaying deeper items. The 4 layers require gluing to make a frame approximately 9mm deep. The inner cut arches are retained with the product and can be used either in conjunction or as additional projects, which is how I will use them.

I painted the arch with a gold paint pen and backed it with patterned paper. I topped the frame with flowers, lace and a butterfly to match the crown on the girl in the digital image, which I found in the Gecko Galz Esty Shop.

Fireworks: Bright Multicolored Layout

Hi Tando fans!  Dana here sharing a fun, bright, multicolored layout. The theme this week is Fireworks.  I started this layout with the Tando Random Circles Mask, some modeling paste and several colors of mist.  I mixed mist into modeling paste and then carefully filled in the circles of the mask.

Besides chipboard, one of my favorite embellishments is flowers.  Once I added some floral clusters to my page, I finished them with some gorgeous Leaf Branches with Cut-Out Leaves.  This chipboard comes in both greyboard and white coated board.  I used a package of the white coated board here and some mist to add some color, no primer necessary.

As a finishing touch, and to mimic the sparkle and shape of fireworks, I added some stars from the Grab Bag of Stars, which I covered with a coat of pearl mica flake.

Things That Fly - Bat Ring

Hi Tando fans!  Dana here today sharing a fun piece of jewelry for the Things That Fly theme this week.  Halloween only comes around once a year, so I wanted to use this little bat, which is part of the Mixed Halloween Mini Set, before the end of the month.  I covered the bat with several coats of embossing powder, added some pearl eyes, and attached him to the center of this store-bought ring.  This bat is cut from Tando's high quality grey board so I know I don't have to worry about this bat bending or breaking.

Spooky Halloween - Wicked Layout

Hi Tando fans!  Dana here today sharing a layout. The theme this week is Spooky Halloween and I had a lot of fun putting this layout together.  My daughter was a witch last year for Halloween and I think she has a pretty good spooky face.

This Large Cobweb paired so well with my background paper.  I colored it with Glimmer Glaze and Distress Ink.  I couldn't resist adding a spider!

A piece of Scalloped Bunting was the perfect base for my title.  I first colored the chipboard with Distress Ink and then added Crackle Paint, puffy paint and charms.  I know I've said this before, but I love the thickness and strength of Tando chipboard.  I applied three different wet mediums and several embellishments to this piece of chipboard and it didn't bend or peel!

Thanks for stopping by today!  You can see what this chipboard looked like before I started my project below.

Gothic Arch Mini Book

Greeting Tando fans! Dana here today sharing a mini book today that I created with some fabulous pieces of Tando Creative Chipboard.  I wanted to create a mini book that was a little more unique than something store-bought.  I have a love for Gothic arches and thought that the Tando Gothic Arch Layered Frames made a great base for my book.

Even with the addition of three coats of paint, the Tando chipboard did not lose any integrity and easily supports the floral and resin embellishments I added to the cover.  Once the chipboard frames were dry, I glued pieces of patterned paper to the back of each frame to create my book pages.

Back to School - Apple Pillow

Supplies:
Sew Cute Apple Craft Kit: Creative Works
Chipboard: Tando Creative (LEAFBR2CU)
Embossing Powder: American Crafts

Hi Tando fans!  Dana here today with a fun back to school project.  I always think about apples this time of year.  I found this super cute craft kit and wanted to add a bit more texture to my finished piece and this cluster of leaves was perfect.

The leaves have a great cut-out pattern and I thought it would be fun to make my leaves two colors of green. I covered the chipboard with some embossing powder and then backed the leaves with some felt. If you want to pick up some of these leaves for yourself, you can purchase them HERE.

Autumn - Tea Bag Tags

Hi Tando fans!  Dana here today sharing a fun autumn-themed project.  I'm looking forward to the cooler weather and drinking more tea.  I have quite a few tea bags without tags and I always burn my fingers trying to pull them out of my cup.  I thought I would try to remedy that problem and create some tea bag tags.  These leaves were a great size for this project and the design was perfect for looping some thread through the chipboard to attach to my tea bags.

I colored the leaves with embossing power and topped them with a coat of crackle paint.  These tea bag tags were quick and easy to assemble and would make a great gift for your favorite tea lover.  If you'd like to pick up a set of these leaves, you can find them HERE.

Sun, Sea & Sand with Dana

Dana here today sharing a layout. I love living on the Gulf Coast!  There is never a shortage of sun, sea, sand or photos from our trips to the beach.
I covered the larger of the two anchors from the set with White Texture Effect to create a salty aged-by-the-sea look.  Once that dried I added some Distress Ink. If you'd like to pick up the anchors I used, you can find them HERE.

Gothic Arch Layered Frame by Dana

I'm thrilled to share my first project for Tando Creative today!  The theme this week is Arches, Tags and ATCs.  Arches are my new addiction and I had a lot of fun creating this arch with a Gothic Arch Layered Frame and pieces from the Heart Cog Pendant.

I glued chipboard pieces from the pendant and some metal embellishments to bottom piece of the arch frame and then covered that with a layer of aluminum foil, a couple of layers of paint, tinting solution and Perfect Pearls, to make a grungy background.  I covered the top layer of the frame with some patterned paper and added a quote and a chain of trinkets to finish the piece.  Tando chipboard is thick and sturdy and I could have piled on more embellishments and mediums without any worries that my project would fall apart.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  If you're interested in how to create a background similar to mine, please visit my blog for some video links.
