Embossing Week- Mini Winter Home Arch

Winter Home Arch by Dana Tatar for Tando Creative

Hi! Dana here today sharing the Winter home arch I created for the Embossing theme this week. This small arch is one of the inner cut arches from the Triple Arch Layered Frame. I love to use the inner cut pieces from Tando designs for additional projects. This layered frame comes with 9 inner cut arches, and I'm looking forward to creating a series of mini home arches for the season in a similar style.

I used DecoArt acrylic paint to add color to the arch, plus a Mini Holly, an Arthur Number, and a small door from a Mini Beach Hut. After gluing all the pieces together, I brushed on a layer of clear crackle paint. I embellished the edges of this arch with Stampendous Spoonful of Snow for a frosty finish.

You can find the products I used for this project in the Tando Creative Retail Store. We'd love to see your creativity! Share your work with us in Tando's Creative Zone on Facebook.

Hi Tando fans! Dana here today. We've teamed up with Stampendous this week to bring you a double dose of inspiration and an exciting blog hop. I created this mini arch with one of the inner cut arches from the Triple Arch Layered Frame and some Fran-tage Color Fragments. I love to use the inner cut pieces from Tando designs for additional projects. This layered frame comes with 9 inner cut arches, so one can create a fun set of mini arches in addition to the layered frame!

I used Powder Blue and Sage Fran-tage Color Fragments with clear glue to add a layer of color and texture to my arch. Once I had a solid base of color, I added a piece of Grass Flexistrip, which I painted with green acrylic paint, and a butterfly. I then sealed the arch with a layer of glaze and let it dry overnight.

I added a piece of gold leaf ribbon and an inked sticker sentiment the next day. I finished this piece by coloring the edge of the arch with a gold paint pen.

You can find the products that I used for this piece in the Tando Creative Retail Store! Be sure so visit the blog all week long for more inspiring projects with Stampendous products!

May Color Challenge - Triple Arch

Hi friends! Dana here today sharing the piece that I created for the Color Challenge. I wait all year long for the short couple of weeks when the cherry blossom tree in my front yard is fragrant and awash with pink petals. I was inspired to create this arch by the view out my front window and the pretty pink and green color palette this week.

I painted one layer from the Triple Arch Layered Frame with acrylic paint and a layer of Rock Candy Stickles and then backed it with patterned paper.  I painted a leaf and one small branch from the Leaf Branch with 3 Loose Leaves with green acrylic paint and then topped them with a mix of paper and fabric flowers and stems. I finished this piece with a digital image and butterfly from Gecko Galz, and sticker sentiment.

You can find the products that I used for this piece in the Tando Creative Retail Store! We'd love to see what you create for our Color Challenge! To be in with a chance of winning some great Tando goodies of your choice, please make a piece based on our weekly themes and link your project, not just your blog, using the inlinkz tool located at the top of the Tando Blog. Spring Inner Cut Arch

Hi friends! Dana here today sharing the arch that I created for the Spring Has Sprung theme this week. This small arch is another one of the inner cut arches from the Triple Arch Layered Frame. I love to use the inner cut pieces from Tando designs for additional projects. This layered frame comes with 9 inner cut arches, so I still have plenty of pieces to work with. I'm enjoying the emergence of Spring and the colorful buds that are beginning to open in my garden. My girls and I are enjoying the abundance of caterpillars that seem to be absolutely everywhere and are looking forward to the fluttering of butterfly wings. This small piece represents this joyous time of year.

I covered this arch with patterned paper, chalk ink, embossed stamping, and white ink splatters to add some depth. I then colored a Mini Butterfly, Flower with Stem, and a small piece of Grass Flexistrip with chalk ink for a soft finish. Lastly, I applied a light coat of Smooch Glitz for a bit of shimmer.

Color Theme - Inner Cut Arch

Hi! Dana here today sharing a small arch I created for the Color Theme this week. This small arch is one of the inner cut arches from the Triple Arch Layered Frame. I love to use the inner cut pieces from Tando designs for additional projects. This layered frame comes with 9 inner cut arches, and I'm looking forward to creating a series of arches in a similar style.

I covered this arch with patterned paper and washi tape. I carefully applied some butterfly wings that a friend gifted me. I added color to the edge of the arch with blue chalk ink. I finished this piece with a button, for some dimension, and a layer of glaze.

Anything Goes - Choose Happy Springtime Arch

Hi friends! Dana here today sharing an arch for the Anything Goes theme this week. The flowers are beginning to bloom and the birds are singing outside my window so that was my inspiration for this piece. I covered the base of a Triple Arch Layered Frame with patterned paper and then topped it with one frame piece that I painted a textured white. I brought in a small piece of nature for this piece. I covered a cut tree branch with a painted Leaf Flourish, a die-cut bird and some paper flowers. I finished this piece with a sticker sentiment and bright pink bow.

Triple Arch Layered Frame with Dana

Hi Tando fans! Dana here today sharing an arch I created for the challenge this week. I used one layer from the Triple Arch Layered Frame for this project. The Triple Arch Layered Frame consists of 3 layers plus the back panel. This frame is perfect for layering up stamped images to create a 3D art as well as displaying deeper items. The 4 layers require gluing to make a frame approximately 9mm deep. The inner cut arches are retained with the product and can be used either in conjunction or as additional projects, which is how I will use them.

I painted the arch with a gold paint pen and backed it with patterned paper. I topped the frame with flowers, lace and a butterfly to match the crown on the girl in the digital image, which I found in the Gecko Galz Esty Shop.
