As seen on Hochanda TV

I am delighted to be sharing a project with you today as seen on the craft television channel Hochanda (SKY663, FREEVIEW 85, & FREESAT 817) Tando's shows can also be watched live or on 'catch up' on a computer just Google Hochanda !

One of the first creations I made for telly was a [Faery Door] It was such a thrill to see the door on tv!

This is [Faery Door 1] 

A gorgeous faery door laser cut from a combination of MDF and greyboard.

The base piece and main door frame are cut from MDF making a sturdy base which will take lots of different mediums without any buckling. The stones, door panelling, knocker, leaves and mushroom are made of greyboard and again will take all wet mediums as well as heat!

The overall size is approx. 170mm wide x 165mm tall.

I painted the Faery Door using various DecoArt paints from their Media Line available [HERE] and also added a little sparkle using glitter from [Stampendous]

Fairy door with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new altered project post.

This time I made a totally different project: altered Fairy door  chipboard set from Tando Creative.

I used chipboards and Art Anthology products only with the small add- on of Makin's Clay molded fairies added to the finished project.

 I even made my own paint tool from the old (or new) tooth brush to make the wood effect as shown here.

Each chipboard piece was painted in the different way to get a different effect. There are stone effect, wood effect, painted  leaves and a mushroom, " metal" hinges and pastel fairies. And each effect was made just with Art Anthology paints and sprays.

It was so much fun to make this project and to see the final result! The only problem was the long waiting time as those Art Anthology dimensional paints are slow drying and the layers were thick.

Some close- ups to the stone and wooden effects; and kind of a metal effect on hinges.

Close up to the misted Makin's Clay fairies. The original color was natural.

The close up to the leaves, the hinges and the 3d mushroom- all were painted with a mix of paints and mists.

This is Tando Fairy Door kit I used as is- all pieces are in this gorgeous kit and you just need to pick your favorite paints and textures to make this beauty!

Faery Door

Hi Gez here, delighted to be sharing a creation with you today. This week the Design Team have been busy creating lots of inspiration using leaves.. here is my little faery door complete with leaves..

 And gave everything a generous coating of Stampendous glitter..

December colour theme.

Helloooooo!  Its December today and the race is on for Christmas!  If you like to make your presents why not check us out as there are many things on our site that would make lovely presents, decorated or not.  Today I have a *FAERY DOOR KIT* for you coloured using this months colour theme.  This is fantastic for all little (and big) faery lovers!!!!  I had a lot of help from my 3yr old Grandaughter who 'told' me where to put the colours :-P

mmm...there is a mushroom in the kit but she doesn't like eating them so that had to be left out hahahaha!!!!!  (I shall use it on another project.)  There is lots of sparkle & glow on this little door and I think it may find its way to a certain little girls room!  Here is the kit naked...

Fairy Door Arch with Dana

Hi Tando fans! Dana here today sharing a Fairy Door Arch that I created with bit and pieces of Tando goodies. I had such a blast putting this piece together! This fun arch brings a bit of magic into my scrap space! I started with an inner layer from the Arabian-Style Layered Arch Frame.

I tore a brown paper bag into strips, crinkled and then twisted the strips that I laid over the arch. I added some twists and turns to emulate knots. I then painted the arch with a coat of opaque medium before painting with Tattered Angels Espresso Bean Glimmer Glam. Once the arch was dry, i highlighted the "bark" with Black Soot Distress Ink and Viva Deco Inka-Gold.

I created a small nature scene at the base of the arch with a piece of Grass Flexistrip, a portion of a Leaf Branch with Cut-Out Leaves and a Mini Leaf (Mini Leaves 3). I painted all the chipboard with Ranger Distress Paint. I topped the chipboard with mushroom stickers, pink flowers and a plastic deer.

I added a small cluster of flowers to the top of the arch using the remaining portion of the Leaf Branch with Cut-Out Leaves as a base.
