Twit Twoo Tag!

Hi Gez here, Happy September everyone!

Where is this year disappearing too? I don't know!!

I am delighted to be sharing my tag with you today..

I started out by adding a layer of [White Gesso] to a plain greyboard [TAG].

Once dry I added a piece of torn scrapbook paper to add some texture to the background followed by layers of acrylic paint. Details were added to the background using the following masks..

(I stencilled through the stars..)

I left the background to dry and painted a [Curly Tree]

I then used some more of the same pattern scrapbook paper to decorate one of the [Whimisical Houses]

 Once everything was dry I started to assemble the tree and owl onto the tag. Then decorated one of the [Owls]

Isn't it great how you can build up a collection of Tando chipboard and then create your own little scenes as everything mixes and matches perfectly..

Here is my finished tag ♥

Journal it out!

Hi Gez here, I am delighted to be playing along with the 'Anything Goes' challenge this week.

It's always theraputic creating journal pages and getting your thoughts out, spilling them onto a page and playing along with a few paints and stencils, time just flies before you realise!

This has to be one of my favourite stencils of all times ♥

A Skinner Stencil/Mask - Hippy Chick

I laid the [Hippy Chick stencil] onto the page and drew around the outline of one of the girls with a black pencil then took a black ink pen and journaled over the top..

The stars were added to the page using texture paste through the stencil. Then I added a sentiment and doodled border.

So much fun!

Thank you for calling and leaving a comment if you get the chance.

Each weeks challenge is open until the end of the month, link at the top of the blog, one lucky entry will win a grab bag of Tando Goodies.

I hope you can join in the fun.

Happy creating, Gez ♥

Birthday banners!

Happy Sunday Tando fans

I am delighted to share my little offering for the banners challenge this week. I hope you can join in the fun and link up at the top of the page for your chance to win a bag of Tando goodies ♥

I have created a hanging pendant using one of the (74mmx138mm) {Mixed Media Boards}

Mixed Media Boards 74mm x 138mm

and the small straight {Bunting}

Bunting Small Straight

 Both the mixed media boards and the bunting don't mind wet media or heat so it was time to have some fun..

I used the gorgeous Andy Skinner stencil {Hippy Chick}
to add some details to the background..

Anything Goes with Gez!

Happy Saturday!

I am delighted to be sharing a chunky mixed media journal page with you today. This was so much fun to create!!

For the base of my chunky page I used a {sheet of chipboard} from a 6"x6" pack.

 5 pack of 6" x 6" Chipboard Sheets

I played around with acrylic paints until I was happy with the background!

And then applied a thick layer of medium gel through the gorgeous {Giovanna - Spiral} mask.

What a very pretty mask!

While everything was drying, I set about concentrating on my focal image and decided to use the {Hippy Chick} stencil from {Andy Skinner}

I traced one of the girls onto a piece of journal page, cut and glued it to the page. The sentiment was embossed using white embossing powder. And stars were added to the journal page using gold acrylic paint.

I hope you like my art journal page.

Thank you for calling and leaving a comment if you get the chance.
Happy creating, Gez
