Accordion Book

Hi Gez here, delighted to be sharing a project with you today using packaging.

Oh my goodness, this was sooooooo much !

I used the black backing card that comes with Andy Skinner's [Burning Rubber Mask]

I folded the card and made an accordian book.

 Then I decorated the cover by first painting a background with acrylic paints and then painting a bird and branch from the [Mini pack of Birds and Branches]

One coat of acrylic paint and NO Gesso required!

  SO CUTE! ♥♥

 Surprising what you can do with a piece of packaging!

Thank you for calling and leaving a comment if you get the chance.

Wishing you a lovely Sunday ♥

Be sure to call back tomorrow for the start of a very exciting week.. Details and more [HERE]

LOVE.. canvas..

Hi everyone, Gez here, I am delighted to share with you today my little canvas using the fabulous August colour theme..

My canvas is a little more green in real life I promise!

The base of the canvas is one of the 6"x6" chipboard sheets
from the 5 pack.. you can find them {HERE}

These sheets are lovely to work with, no buckling or bending
no matter how wet they get and can be easily punched with holes for hanging..

5 pack of 6" x 6" Chipboard Sheets

I worked straight onto the chipboard with acrylic paints, no Gesso!
The paints didn't sink in too much and mixed lovely..

While the board was drying, I painted a couple of the little birds
from the {Mini pack of Birds and Branches}
with white Gesso then watercolour paints..

I also painted a couple of hearts

Free for all with Irit for August

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here again and this is my Free for all project.
This is a wooden piece made into this trendy Chalkboard deco with stamping and heat embossed letters, but then I made those gorgeous Tando  clusters on both corners of this project.

Here you can see the lower corner.

And here is the upper one. Both were made with leaves, flowers and birds covered with a few layers of White thick embossing powder and then some of the pieces were stamped into the hot powder for the texture. On the bottom I used Tando new Long Flourish  mask with white texture powder.

I really love this black and  white projects made with  Tando delicious chippies and masks. Most sure will do  more of those classic projects in the future.
And here are the products used for this project

There is Music in the Air

It is a glorious spring here in GB this year, time to freshen up the colour pallet and bring some of those soft pretty pastels in.    For this hanging the inner's from the Gothic Layered Arch Frame provided the bases.   The bare board elements were given a single layer of white gesso, on the base the Music Score mask was used with soft green and blue ink lightly brushed over.   The bases were then run through the big shot with a music score embossing folder after which the embossing was highlighted with further inks.   Next holes were punched in them eyelets fitted and chain to link them.  Distress glitter added and finally they were set aside while the toppers were prepared and glued on.

Those base's took quite a bashing but they look fantastic don't you think.

Lots of Tando elements used here
