Paint Effects - Fun With Masking Tape
Hi Tando fans! Dana here with you today kicking off a week that will be filled with projects highlighting fun paint effects. I started this project with an inner cut from a Gothic Arch Layered Frame. (A Gothic Arch Frame is cut from 5 layers of grey board and also includes a back panel. This frame is perfect for layering up stamped images to create a 3D style of artwork as well as displaying deeper items. The 6 layers require gluing to make a frame. Bonus: The inner cut arches are retained with the product and can be used either in conjunction or as additional projects, like I'm using here.)
I first applied a light coat of gesso to the arch. Then I painted over sections that I created with torn pieces of masking tape with Liquitex acrylic paint to create my colorful background. I dried each color of paint with my heat gun, before adding another layer of color. Note: After removing the tape shown above, I wanted a more colorful background so I repeated the process again.
I added two small dragonflies with a paint pet and the Poppy Mask. I finished the arch with a stamped sentiment and a light coat of Glimmer Mist for a bit of sparkle.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you try this fun and easy paint technique! Stop by every day this week for more inspiration from the Tando Creative Design Team!

tag - you're it
over at tando there was a color scheme of pink, green and orange that i applied to my tag. these type of challenges push me out of my comfort zone. i find limiting colors to just a few are harder to get images to pop and stand out.
i used one of tando's small bookplates and a few of tando's mini stars. i also used the leaf mask in the background design.
i hope you will be inspired to work on a tag with your tando goodies!

A Fairy Tale Tag !
Helloooo! It's my turn to show you a tag, and it's a great theme for me because I LOVE making Tags!
I made one large tag in a mixed-media style using two great Tando products and many other supplies. I had a lot of fun doing it, but also a lot of troubles, in particular because I decided at the last minute to cover it with multi-medium Studio Matte gel... Leading me to put many layers of various inks on a few areas to hide some ugly intermediate results haha... Anyway here's the result, hope you will not say Yuk!... :)
I was inspired by all the fairy tales I'm used to read every evening to my aged 6 twins before beddy-byes. And since we are in autumn, a season I really enjoy for its flamboyant colours, I tried to put on my tag all its rich colours. All the stamps are Stampotique ones - I used no less than seven stamps to build my little scene, one is hidden and you have to discover it Lol! -, and I added a wonderful Tandos cage and also a small yellow flower at the top. This flower that really stands out beautifully comes from the mask Leaves set of 2, I used some leftovers of a previous project where I had sprayed chocolate Dylusions ink over this mask and a piece of watercolour paper, and I had some flowers remaining at the end in the corner of my table... Well, perfect for the final touch instead of ribbon for once ! I cut one flower out and used Distress Squeezed Lemonade to colour it in the inside, and a dash of perfect pearls in the middle.

My cage was inked in Versamark and heat embossed with a mix of powders: Gilded Gold from Ancient Gold, Distress Vintage, and Chestnut Zing. I also sanded some parts lightly. For the finishing touch I have applied a bit of Treasure Gold (Spanish Topaz colour) on all edges using a small brush dedicated for wax.
And here's the Tando cage I used (I kept the two birds for another project):
And the flower mask from the Leaves Mask set of 2
Hope you like my fairy tale tag... You can also pop on over to my blog for more details. Thank you very much for your visit, enjoy your long week-end and if you can, come back tomorrow and the day after to see two other different tags again ! Crafty hugs, Coco xx

Two Holidays tag: Tag week
Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to our Tag week.
This is my Holidays tag made for 2 Holidays, both Hanukkah and Christmas. There are a lot of families here in Israel and all around the world that celebrate both Holidays and one tag for both holidays is a great idea. (less work and less presents?). So here is my take of this and I used Stars Tando chipboards that are in this Star of David shapes and winter colours to fit both Holidays.
Hope you like this both Holidays tag idea and would use Tando Stars for Jewish holidays too.

November challenge.... and our new GDT
Today sees the first post from this months GDT
Kathleen White
We are all looking forward to seeing her creations this month
Here is her TAG for this weeks theme
"It is my pleasure to share with you these two tags I created with Tando Creative products.
The first thing I thought of was spring. This is my tribute to the famous book "The Secret Garden". The leaf at the top also pulls out to reveal a card.
I used these beautiful leaf and clock hand chipboard to create a pullout to reveal a secret place to write a note to that special someone.
I just had to throw in this steampunk tag since I had such fun using Andy Skinner's Incognito stencil, and these fabulous chipboard cogs and clock hand. I hope you will check out my blog for more details and close ups. http://kathsdesigns.blogspot.com
As its the first Wednesday of the month there is a new challenge over on the challenge blog... do pop on over and hopefully you'll join us...see you there...
Don't forget to visit us again tomorrow for another take on our tag weekly theme...
