Spray Ink Butterfly Card

Hi friends! Dana here today sharing the card I created for the Spray Ink theme this week. A friend of mine recently designed a similar set of cards. I thought her clean and simple design was just stunning, so I created my own card in a similar fashion.

I cut a layered cardstock card base and applied blue ink to the cover with a paintbrush. I topped the pool of color with a Mini Butterfly that I embossed to match the cardstock base. I finished this card with a simple sticker sentiment.

You can find the butterfly that I used for this piece in the Tando Creative Retail Store! Thanks for stopping by today!

Spray inks week with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new art piece made for Tando Creative with mists or in their other name Spray inks.
As you can see this art page was made using coloring book page (new DCVW one) , but I didn't color it with markers or pencils, but just misted around with a mix of Tattered Angels  mists.
Tando frame was  painted and them misted over with copper mist and  Tando butterflies were also misted and then I added some more similar color with markers.

Spray Inks...

Hi, Carol with you today kicking off a new week and theme.

This week our theme is SPRAY INKS.. with so many on the market the possibilities are endless..

So, for my project this week I have created a journal page:-

In my large journal I have spritzed spray inks…. I then used the letters mask and spritzed water onto the inks…the ink did leave, but, its not very clear! I used the same mask and some DecoArt media fluid acrylic paint in carbon black, I also used Have your say mask with the same black paint.. Some stamping, using the Stampendous Marks stamp set, in black ink, was also used white pen was then used to hi-light areas and add handwritten doodles.

Three butterflies from the grab bag were painted with the black paint, once dry these were then spritzed with a mica based spray ink…. white pen was then used to add definition to the wings…

Do pop back during the week to see what some of the other DT members have come up with.

Desk Tidy

What a treat this week to work with the beautiful June colours.

Aren't these colours beautiful. They remind me of the Mediterranean!

I decided I would make a desk tidy using the beautiful summery colours and some of the mixed media boards available from the [Retail Shop]. A great way to keep all the little paper scraps hanging around my desk safe.

I used a pack of the [74mm x 138mm Mixed Media boards] for my desk tidy.

Mixed Media Boards 74mm x 138mm

Each of the boards were covered in tape to hold the side panels together after gluing, a bit haphazard to add some texture and then painted with Gesso and acrylic paints along with some of the chipboard hearts from the [Grab Bag]

and also, some of Tando's [Mini - Flowers]

Tando Mini's - Flowers

I used the larger heart from the grab bag to create a picture frame. I quite like how my desk tidy box turned out..

Thank you for calling and leaving a comment if you get the chance. I hope the sun is shining wherever you are..

Wishing you a lovely Sunday, Gez ♥

Color Theme - Ice Cream Tag

Hi friends! Dana here today sharing the fun ice cream tag I created for the Color Theme this week. The weather here is HOT. As the school year winds to a close, I'm looking forward to spending some lazy days at the neighborhood pool and eating plenty of cool treats.

I loved the color blocking from the mood board so I replicated that design on the base of my tag. I applied whipped spackle over the Long Flourish Mask to add a print over the colored cardstock squares. I had a lot of fun embellishing some Mini Ice Creams. I embossed the chipboard to give some texture to the cones. I then applied Liquid Pearls to the top of the cones. I finished the tag with a vellum border, a sentiment sticker, and some ribbon. What's your favorite flavor of ice cream?

Thanks for stopping by today!

Pastel Journal Page

I made a journal page for this month's colour scheme:

I used ~{Modelling Paste}~ through the ~{Letters Stencil}~ and the circles from the ~{Tree and Leaves 3 Part Stencil}~. Once dry, I've used ~{White Gesso}~ over the whole page.
I used my fingers and acrylic paint to add colour to the page then used 2 of the stamps I made using Tando chipboard from ~{this post}~ with paint.
I added some washi tape, doodles, a cow stamp and a quote from Pinterest.
