I love Autumn mini book cover with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my last September Tando post.
This week we are showcasing Leaves and I decided to make a cover for the very small (ATC size) notebook using BoBunny new Fall line and Tando chipboard.
The notebook was first covered with fancy patterned paper .
Then I colored Tando lovely Book plate and Leaves with DecoArt  Media line paints and arranged them on the book cover. One I LOVE AUTUMN sticker and a few pearls and this lovely cover was all done.

Celebrate simple things 3d project with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to Anything goes post in Tando blog.

I have those small chipboard houses from Tando Creative UK for ages and never had a chance to use them. So here is my chance to  finally use those houses and I made a small tutorial for you all to share:
1. Paint the chipboard houses with white acrylic paint and let them  dry.

2.Use  mini Pop inks in three colors to color over the white paint.
I just wiped  the colors with wet baby wipe.

3. Doodle the lines and dots over the roof with wide white marker over red inked pieces.
Cover the  chipboard base  with patterned  cardstock  and distress the edges a bit with a sand paper.

4. Stamp Celebrate the small things saying over the same cardstock with Celebration of Simple Untiy  stamp. Glue the stamped saying as shown over the base.

5. Make the " wooden" sign with faux wood (gesso, texture paste, old tooth brush and  and brown ink.)
Then cut the parts to make this triple arrows sign and  add the Live, Love and Create words that were cut out from patterned cardstock.
Paint the small chipboard windows and doors from the chipboard set with white paint and glue them over the finished houses.

And here is my little 3d display on my  vintage findings shelf!

I really hope that you liked my small tutorial and see you again in two weeks!

Fly Solo Mixed Media Board

Hi friends! Dana here today sharing a mixed media board for the Anything Goes theme this week. I had a lot of fun with the Nathalie Kalbach Fashion Dame Stamp Set, the Nathalie Kalbach Bird Stamp Set, the Deco Art Media Line, and Stampendous Spoonful of Silver.

I started this piece by coloring the edge of a Mixed Media Board with a black paint pen and the top of the board with a layer of DecoArt White Gesso. I then sprayed the board with a DecoArt Turquoise Shimmer Mister. I painted solid areas of color using DecoArt Primary Magenta, Primary Yellow, and then a mix of White Gesso, Primary Yellow, and Cadmium Red Hue to create the peach paint. I added a small oval of turquoise acrylic paint. Once the paint was dry, I stamped the foam bird image onto the board using black pigment ink.

To brighten the design I added splatters of Primay Yellow and some doodles with a white paint pen. To dress up the background I used the trouser stamp from the Fashion Dame Stamp Set with purple pigment ink to add a lined design around the bird. I then sprinkled on Spoonful of Silver over the ink and applied heat to set. I highlighted the small ovals on the wing and the eye of the bird with DecoArt Liquid Glass. I finished this board with a Dymo tape quote.

You can find the chipboard I used for this project, and a wonderful selection of DecoArt and Stampendous products, in the Tando Creative Retail Store.

Anything Goes - Chalkboard

Hello!  I have decorated the rectangular 'To Do' Chalkboard for this weeks anything goes.

The background has been painted in white and then splashes of various  DecoArt Media Misters  added.  The border has been painted with white, then Crackle Glaze before a coat of Primary Cyan was lightly added.

The 'day' boards have been painted with the Primary Cyan and then a few coats of clear chalkboard coating was added.  The letters have been coloured to match the background.

Thank you for looking, take care, Karen x

Anything Goes with the stamp that's not so scary after all!

For this month's Anything Goes theme I used the stamp that most of the DT were afraid of! We all didn't know what to do with her, but everyone really came up trumps. I made a journal spread:

I gave both sides a coat of gesso and once that was dry, put a few dabs of {DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics} onto a glass mat, sprayed it with water and then smooshed the pages onto it. One smoosh was all it took as I like to keep white space on my pages.

I had also gessoed some book pages so I stamped {Fashion Dame} using a stamp positioned onto one and cut her out. I also cut some circles from a page.

I used a couple of homemade foam stamps and used the stencil that comes with the stamp over the pages.

It was finished off with some doodles, oil pastels and a quote from Pinterest.

Metallic Week with Lisa

Hi folks, Lisa here with today's post for  Metallic Week.

I chose the Tando 152mm x 152mm Printer Tray as my base and then some Tando extras to turn metallic.

Here is my creation...

I used the nuts and screws from the Tando Ministry of Mixology Andy Skinner Book Kit, grab bag of screws, set of 5 keys, Tando Minis - keys, locks & latches and cogs grab bag.

I arranged the smaller Tando pieces on a board and sprayed them with DecoArt Shimmer Sprays. To give them some extra shimmer I mixed some mica powder with water and added it to a spay bottle.

With the bigger Tando pieces, I covered with a thick layer of DecoArt gold metallic paint then heated it with the heat gun until the paint bubbled to create some texture.

In a couple of the tray sections, I sprinkled some elements from the Stampendous Frantage bronze encrusted jewel kit then added a good heap of clear embossing powder to encase the Tando pieces and Stampendous fragments inside the melted powder.

Here are all the Tando products I used...

It's never too late..

Happy weekend!

Hi, Gez here, it's my turn to share a creation with you today.

This weeks theme is metallic..

I've taken inspiration from the changing seasons.. the [Spoonful of GOLD DUST] encrusted glitter and flakes by Stampendous adds the perfect golden/metallic sparkle I was looking for my [Straight edged large arch] although it's been really mild this week in the North West of England the leaves are falling!

I started out with a [Straight edged large arch]

and painted it with a coat of gold metallic paint.

The sentiment was stamped and distressed onto a plain piece of cardstock then added to the arch.

Leaves from the [Mini - Leaves 1] set were painted and spritzed with gold spray to add shimmer

along with leaves from leaves from the [Leaves - 2] set.

These mini's work perfect on greetings cards too!

Once dry enough to handle the leaves were added to the arch along with the oh, so gorgeous [Spoonful of GOLD DUST] glitter and flakes for a finishing touch..

I hope you like my decorated arch..

Thank you for calling and leaving a comment if you get the chance.

Happy Autumn/Fall if you are in the northern hemisphere.

Gez xx

Words can be Toxic: Metal week with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my Metal week post made for Tando blog.
This week our designers are going to show you all things metal. But actually those are mostly faux metals and as you can see nothing on this tag is made of metal, but of chipboards, paints, texture pastes etc.

I used two Tando stencils to make the backgrounds.
The lower one is Splatters mini mask.. The upper one is Giraffe mini mask . Both were applied with DecoArt modelling paste and then painted with DecoArt Media line Fluid acrylics. Those mini masks are just perfect for tags and small crafts!
The Pen and Ink  chipboards were painted with the same acrylics and then I added some stamped images using Andy Skinner Stampendous stamp sets called Toxic.
I had a  couple of words on those stamp sets and added a couple with stickers.
All stamped images were painted over with Gold DecoArt paint and it sure looks like a shiny metal.
I think that the saying is the most important: yes, words can be TOXIC! So watch your words and think before you say something that is not very nice.

Metallic Tool Card

For the metallic theme I've made another card with bits from the soon to be released card kits:

I've inked the bottom half of the card and then inked through the {Mini Cogs Stencil} on the card.

I've painted a square of the backing card from the Tando packaging and then sprinkled Aged Teal Embossing Powder from the {Teal Frantage Jewel Kit} and heated it.

I painted some of the {Mini Tools} with silver and teal acrylic paints, then added some {Clear Liquid Glass} onto the handles.

Everything was stuck into place and finished with a stamped greeting.

More Metal!

Hello!  For this week I have put together some simple key-rings for you...

I used flowers, a leaf and hearts from the Grab Bag Range.  These are extremely handy to keep in your stash and you get a lot in a bag!  I painted them up and then used some haberdashery from my stash to decorate them.  A very simple and quick little gift!

Thank you for looking today, Hugs, Karen x

Metallic Door

Hi! Dana here today sharing another door that I created for the Metallic theme this week. I used parts from the Andy Skinner Industrial Elements Set for this piece.

I first treated the chipboard with a layer of DecoArt Carbon Black Media Mist. Next, I applied a layer of DecoArt Crackle Paste that I tinted with DecoArt Primary Cyan Media Mist. I dirtied up the piece with DecoArt English Red Oxide Antiquing Cream and Black Soot Distress Ink. To add a subtle metallic shimmer I highlighted the gears and edges of the door and keyhole, and the front of the door using the Cogs Mini Mask as a guide, with metallic shades of Perfect Pearls Pigment Powder. To accent the keyhole, I added a decorative heart lock. I finished this piece with some rub-ons.

You can find the chipboard I used for this project, and a wonderful selection of DecoArt products, in the Tando Creative Retail Store.

September colour cards

I've done 2 cards for our colour theme as I wanted to do a gelli print background and it didn't work out first time:

I did a plain turquoise base then used orange paint on the gelli plate and stamped one of the stamps from the {Kaffee Klatsch Stamp set} onto the paint, then used the gelli plate like a stamp. I didn't press hard enough on the one on the left so got an incomplete print, so I let it dry for a minute then added some turquoise paint over the top, and put some card on it and gave it a really good press and got the one on the right. To be honest, I prefer this one!

I painted 3 butterflies from the {Mini Butterflies} with acrylic paint and stamped onto them and inked the edges.

I inked through the {Mini Leaves 1 Stencil} 3 times and cut a scallop border from another gelli print and used a digi image to finish.
