Sparkles Week - Mini Winter Home Arch Set

Hi! Dana here today sharing the mini Winter home arches I created for the Sparkles theme this week. These small houses are a made from the inner cut arches from the Triple Arch Layered Frame. I love to use the inner cut pieces from Tando designs for additional projects. This layered frame comes with 9 inner cut arches. I had so much fun creating my original mini home arch a couple weeks ago, that I created more for the season in a similar style. I crafted two different styles of homes, one single layered with the smaller inner cut, and two layered arches using both sizes of inner cut arches.

I used DecoArt acrylic paint to add color to the arches, plus a Mini Holly and/or Mini Bell, an Arthur Number, and a small door from a Mini Beach Hut. After gluing all the pieces together, I brushed on a layer of clear crackle paint. I embellished the edges of this arch with Stampendous Spoonful of Snow for a frosty, sparkly finish.

Here's my original mini Winter home arch.

You can find the products I used for this project in the Tando Creative Retail Store. We'd love to see your creativity! Share your work with us in Tando's Creative Zone on Facebook.

Anthing Goes - Gothic Arch Set

Hi Tando fans! Dana here today sharing a set of Gothic Arches for the Anything Goes theme this week. These small chipboard arches measure about 4x3 inches and were the perfect size for creating some fun little scenes.

I have one small gnome that was left in the yard of my first home. We fell in love with the little guy and he has traveled with us with each move over the past 10 years. I modeled this gnome after him.

I covered the arch with patterned papers, which I personalized with some doodling in black to help separate the layers. I then piled on stamped images that I colored simply with Sharpies. I added some fun texture to the gnome and butterfly with white dimensional paint.

I began this arch the same as the previous one, with patterned paper that I doodled on. I tore several of the layers for added interest. Once the background was to my liking, I layered on the swirly clouds, colorful houses and the "home" sentiment.

I attached several of the houses to my arch with foam dots for dimension.

Thanks for stopping by today!

My home is where you are - Minibook-Week

Hi, here's Caro. I'm excited to introduce this week's theme: minibooks. There are many different kinds of minibooks in the range of tando creative but this "home"-book caught immediately my eye.

My take on this book:

I have filmed the process of creating this minibook - I hope you have time to watch my video and of course that you like it.

For my minibook I have used some other chipboards too:
