Medieval Arches-Fiona Randall

Morning All. The theme this week on the Tando Blog is Arches.

This theme lends itself to so many ideas. I decided to go down the Medieval theme route for my project. I used the inner cut  frame inserts that come with the Tando Triple Arch Layered frame. These are great to use for additional projects. I incorporated some Tando Grey Board cut from a sheet and some die cuts, then stamped, stencilled, embossed, inked and painted. All the elements were then layered up with off cuts of grey board to give depth and dimension. Tiny gems and some ink dyed cheesecloth was then added to finish.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Stand Alone Week - Note/photo Holder

Hello there!  For my 'stand alone' piece I have used up some left over pieces from the pretty *TRIPLE ARCH FRAMES*  I have done a few of these now and was left with several of the insides.

I glued some small and large ones together before decorating with stamping and paint effects.  Before I attached the smaller arches to the larger ones I glued a piece of card behind the smaller one to create a gap.  Then only attached a section of the smaller arches to the larger ones.  I added a heart to the top.

Thank you for taking a look today.  Please pop back to see how more of the DT interpreted this theme.  Hugs Karen x

Sparkles Week - Mini Winter Home Arch Set

Hi! Dana here today sharing the mini Winter home arches I created for the Sparkles theme this week. These small houses are a made from the inner cut arches from the Triple Arch Layered Frame. I love to use the inner cut pieces from Tando designs for additional projects. This layered frame comes with 9 inner cut arches. I had so much fun creating my original mini home arch a couple weeks ago, that I created more for the season in a similar style. I crafted two different styles of homes, one single layered with the smaller inner cut, and two layered arches using both sizes of inner cut arches.

I used DecoArt acrylic paint to add color to the arches, plus a Mini Holly and/or Mini Bell, an Arthur Number, and a small door from a Mini Beach Hut. After gluing all the pieces together, I brushed on a layer of clear crackle paint. I embellished the edges of this arch with Stampendous Spoonful of Snow for a frosty, sparkly finish.

Here's my original mini Winter home arch.

You can find the products I used for this project in the Tando Creative Retail Store. We'd love to see your creativity! Share your work with us in Tando's Creative Zone on Facebook.

Triple Arched Layer Frame

I love this new ~{Triple Arched Layer Frame}~, although I didn't use the layers for a 3D effect on this:

They are fantastic value as you also get all of the offcuts from the centre of the arches to play with.

I've painted the frames with acrylic paints and made a background on the base like I would on a journal page and then stuck the layers together. I've also used the ~{Sequin Waste Mask}~  on the background and a whole lot of doodling all over.

I've even saved a layer for using soon on another project.
