So these new Butterflies that Di showcased on her Hochanda show yesterday have also made an appearance here too.

I love how this project turned out.
Do stop by the rest of the week to see what the other DT members have in store for you.
Thanks for stopping by today
Stay Safe

Something Wonderful Mixed Media canvas

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Anything goes Tando post.
Today I am going to share the 8*8'' Mixed Media canvas made with background stencils and a lot of Tando chipboards that were stamped and heat embossed over them.
First I added the background texture with texture paste and stencils  and glued a few cardstock pieces with DCWV old cardstock collection.
Then the whole piece was painted with DecoArt  Media Line acrylic paints.
It's almost impossible to stamp over this heavy textured canvas, so I stamped the flowers stamps over the white tissue paper and glued them on the bottom of the canvas with DecoArt gel medium.

Now I decided to stamp over small flowers and butterflies bare chipboards and I just used the large stamps and stamped on the chipboards " as is". I used black pigmented ink (Memento Luxe) and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
Then I colored the heat embossed chipboards with more acrylic paint and you can see that the butterflies are pretty much similar to the large ones on the bottom even with this partial stamping due the chipboard shapes size.

The sentiment is the most gorgeous Rubber Dance one and I hand cut it to the strips to make the " canvas look" for the sentiment.

Then two large and full size butterflies were stamped, colored and glued over the canvas.

Oriental blossoms:Tree week

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my Trees week project.
This is my  take  of trees. Not really a whole tree, but a few branches of it and not really a full Tando piece, but just one third of it. I promise to make other 2/3 soon...
So it's my oriental style blossoms  and I decided to stay out of green and to make it with blues and reds and a lot of background stamping and painting.
I used crackle paint to get this look of Tando chipboard panel and added white heat embossed stamped images  over it.
The flowers and the branches are painted with acrylics and covered with was and a bit of glitter.

Very Large Canvas!

WOW!!!  How excited was I to be asked to make up a large canvas for a studio!!!!?   Diane loved a quote I had used so we went with that, along with a tree & a house!  The colours match her logo.

I used a kit from Tando Creative (a wall art panel) .  The simple house was cut from one of the panels.  The fencing is also from Tando.  There are lots of layers on this canvas and, of course, I just had to add some fabric and sewing 'bits' onto it!!!  Here are a couple of close ups...

Please note : the letters are NOT from Tando Creative but a mix from my stash.

Thank you for taking a look today, HUGS, Karen XXXXX

WALL ART!

Hello lovely bloggers!  If you are a fan of Tando Creative chipboard kits then you are going to love this one :D   Its a large piece of wall art, measuring approx. 15x15inches when done!  It is in 3 sections and has a large tree which you attach and can decorate with the flowers & butterflies that are provided..

I have painted the 3 boards in blue and acrylic paints then gesso'd over to tone it down. The tree sections are painted white and the add-ons (butterflies, flowers and the birds)  have been painted in neutral colours.  NOTE:  the Tando birds do not come with the kit.  Using lids & stiff cards I added some more interest by dabbing them in paint and adding them randomly.  This kit has so many possibilities I think.  Would look fantastic turned into a family tree with photographs.

Thank you for popping by today, HUGS, Karen xxx
