Princess box with Tando fluorishes

I love to alter old and useless boxes and this heart shaped box was the one I altered lately
Those Tando Creative Fluorish 5 were just perfect addition to the glittery papers and stickers I used and I painted them with white paint and added some   white glitter
The 2 piece set was just perfect for 2 corners of the heart box, I wish I could add one  more swirl on third corner, but I just got one set, so I added flowers
Hope you like the look of the box

Masquerade!

Hello, Joanne and Carol here again with the next of our technique pieces. We decided to play with masking this week.

Carol has used two sorts of masking on her fab piece and taken advantage of the fact that the white lined board means there's no prep to do if you want to use something like Distress inks straight on to the piece.

The girls were stamped and then masked with a hand cut mask. Some Tim Holtz masks have been laid over the top and then Carol has built up the effect with different shades of blue and some stamped text.

Carol used Distress inks to colour the girls and then stamped the sentiment on a domino shape that has also been masked and inked and then added it to the arch with with jump rings - doesn't that look fab?

Check out {Carol's blog} for more information.

I chose one of the journaling block shapes to play with.

I spray painted my piece black, then used some Tim Holtz masks (we didn't have a confab, honest - we just happened to both choose the big pointy cog!) and sequin waste and sponged silver acrylic paint on there. A stamped and heat embossed sentiment and a collection of random bits and pieces finish it off.

More details {here} on my personal blog if anyone would like them.

Thanks for joining us today, I hope you'll pop by again next Wednesday for the next in the series!

Home Sweet Home Garland

I have decorated this Home Sweet Home Garland with My Mind's Eye papers, and coloured the words with a ProMarker.
The mouse stamp and the flowers are both from Tatty Button and have been coloured with ProMarkers, I have added some bling, some Rose chain lace and a couple of Prima blossoms.
I have attached it to part of a 12x12 chipboard sheet as it will be used for a demo at an upcoming show

Turning a new leaf

This chippie is tough it takes all the paints and treatments we throw at it and we are all still finding out just what it will do and how we can make the most of it!   Needing a bookmark for another swap this tall leaf seemed perfect.   Plain chippie coloured with Viva Inca Gold and then over stamped and embossed on both side.

Adding a chain and shrink charms punching a hole in the stem with a hole punch was like cutting butter.   How can it be so tough, strong and resilient and yet so each to punch holes in?

The leaves come in packs of four.

Colouring

We're back!! Joanne and I (Carol) have been having a play with various techniques to see how this FABBY Tando Chipboard stands up to our various styles.  Each Wednesday we will be posting another technique for you all to try and for you to see how the chipboard reacts.

This week we are starting off with Colouring.  There are lots of different mediums on the craft market at the moment, and each of them giving very different looks.

Joanne has used copics on this totally gorgeous hanging:-

and here's a close up

She has used a twinchie, an inchie and two domino Tando shapes along with twigs and wire to create this piece.  The images have been coloured in using copics....the board has taken the colour really well and kept the vibrancy of this medium.  See Joannes blog here for further details.

As my fellow crafters will know I love my watercolour pencils...so, initially I created this piece.

The blank is a journalling spot (another of my fav pieces) and a crafty individuals stamp was stamped and shaded using the watercolour pencils, hi-lights were added using glossy accents.

Not quite sure about that piece I then created this:-

The backplate is another journalling blank and the image by stampotique.  The colouring medium is neocolor 11 watersoluable wax crayons - the colour glided on with these and even with the water added the board didn't become saturated or drink the colour as so often happens.  For further details please see my blog.

Hope that you've enjoyed our first Wednesday piece - see you next week!

Mom to be lo

This new page was done about a month and a half  ago- but I couldn't show it here and I still can't as it was  submitted to Scrapbooking. com web magazine and they asked me to do a full
" How to do it" article as this lo was going  to be published
So it was published in a new April 2011 issue and you can read it - it's free magazine
I used quite a few of Tando Creative fantastic chipboards on this page and all the techniques
are in this article here-just click on red line
I still have much more to show- but those projects can't be seen due to publications too
So we will wait till the publication date and then I am going to show you some close ups  again and the full project can be seen only  30 days after publishing
But's it just great that  Tando Chipboards are web posted a lot
