Winter Colours from Gez..

This week some of the Design Team have been sharing their winter colour theme projects with you and today it's my turn!

There's something about winter that I love... long snowy walks with the children for one, then getting home and making hot chocolate for everyone and drying out our socks over the fire.. sounds nice until it happens and then you realise you have forgotten just how much the cold stings your hands and how much the little ones moan the moment they get home... aw, well..!!

Here's my sneak peak I shared the other day on my blog.. I had great fun colouring the mini holly leaves and berries from the Mini Bells and Holly set with Distress Inks.. I liked how the inks soaked in really well and went lighter as they dried.. then the fun bit! Adding some Rock Candy Distress Stickles..

 ..another sneak peak..

I had a feeling the chipboard holly would work well with this image
and I think I was right! I just LOVE this card, it sums up wintertime to me!

my finished card..

HERE is the set from Tando Creative that I used on my card..
see HERE for a list of stockists

I hope you are having a lovely weekend wherever you are, keep warm.

Happy creating, Gez oxoxo

Frosty Winter Colours

To me, Winter Colours mean frosty whites, blues and lilacs, but I've made a non-Christmas card with them!

I've used some of the butterflies from the ~{Mini Butterflies}~ set. Some I covered in patterned paper and inked the edges and the rest I painted with acrylic paint and stamped on them. I've added gems to the centres of the butterflies.

They really are lovely and quick to do and the perfect size for cardmaking. They are lightweight and thinner than the original chipboard, but can still take a good 'Kaz-ing'.

Winter Scenelit

Hi Tando fans! Dana here today sharing a fun and festive scenelit for the Winter Colors theme this week.  I had a lot of fun adding color to each layer of this piece using my collection of paints. (Please stop by my blog if you would like a full color list.)

I added some "snow" with Martha Stewart Sparkle Texture Effect.

I cut the decorative edges from a Mini Book Plate to make this plaque.  I backed the book plate with cardstock, added the lettering and then filled the front with Glossy Accents.

Once I glued all the layers together I wrapped a strip of ribbon around the piece to finish.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Deck the halls with Gez!

Happy Sunday everyone! Don't you just love the slower pace at the weekends! I am delighted to share my creations with you today for the 'Deck the halls' theme..

I have been busy decorating some of the baubles from the Grab Bag of Baubles (large)

Here are my finished baubles.. no tree up yet to hang them on but it won't be long..!!

The chipboard baubles were first sprayed with ink and decorated with gold acrylic circles before adding the little photographs and embellishments. Thank you for calling and leaving a comment if you get the chance.

Keep warm, Gez
