Arches Week - with Dawn

Hi Everyone,

I haven't done a canvas for a very long time so thought this a brilliant opportunity to have a play.

I started by doing some under-stamping, then I added a couple of painted and stenciled layers using Dotted Star and Long Flourish. The canvas was then edged and further stenciled with metallic ink. The fabulous Gothic Arches were painted and used to frame some stamped images. A generic stamped sentiment was then added for balance. I love the contrast of the black and white on the colourful background.

Here is what I used.....

All of these items and much much more can be found on the Tando Creative retail site.

If you fancy joining in with any of this months themes please add your work through the link at the top of the page to be in with a chance of winning a prize in the February Challenge.

Many thanks for popping by and leaving a comment if you feel you would like to.

Arch week with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to our Arch week!
This is my book shaped card using a small Tando arch as my focal point.

I used  Rubber Dance stamps , Sizzix embossing folder over metal foil with acrylic paint over it and Tando small arch as a frame for my stamped lady image.

The chipboard was covered with clear embossing ink and embossed  with black powder to make a " shrine" to this celestial image inside.
I wanted to use the jewelry piece for card making and to show that you can think out of the box.

A Minion and a Half!

I have turned 2 of the ~{Straight Edged Small Arches}~ into minions.
I was only going to show one of them because I had so much trouble with the second, but in the end I'm being brave!

I painted the base colour with acrylic paint and then used some steel texture paste through the one of the circles in the ~{Random Circles Mask}~ and very carefully removed the centre of the paste. Once this was dry, I painted everything and did some doodling to get the right look.

The trouble started when I attempted to glue the nylon hair in place. It's actually part of a duster and, as you can see, it got everywhere. It didn't want to stick to the arch, but it certainly stuck to me and my desk. And my floor. And anything else with a slight electric charge to it. I gave up! It was meant to have much more hair on it so it was bushy like the proper evil minion and I was going to trim it up, but I'd had enough!! So excuse the fact that the hair is all wrong, but I did like his face!

Triple Arch Layered Frame with Dana

Hi Tando fans! Dana here today sharing an arch I created for the challenge this week. I used one layer from the Triple Arch Layered Frame for this project. The Triple Arch Layered Frame consists of 3 layers plus the back panel. This frame is perfect for layering up stamped images to create a 3D art as well as displaying deeper items. The 4 layers require gluing to make a frame approximately 9mm deep. The inner cut arches are retained with the product and can be used either in conjunction or as additional projects, which is how I will use them.

I painted the arch with a gold paint pen and backed it with patterned paper. I topped the frame with flowers, lace and a butterfly to match the crown on the girl in the digital image, which I found in the Gecko Galz Esty Shop.

Love

Hi everyone Monica here with an altered Arch piece which features: Coggle Hearts, Butterly Minis and Gothic Arch.  I added glue to the butterflies and dipped them in red glitter.

Tando Mini's - Butterflies
I acutally used the Cogggled Hearts on another project but I really love these pieces I ahve acutally used them several times
I covered the arch with MME paterned paper and used some foam tape along the back to give it some height.  I hope everyone has enjoyed mypiece and thanks fo smuch for stopping by!!

Anniversary card by Kaz

I'm rounding off this week's theme of Anything Goes with an anniversary card:

I began by running one of the ~{Mini Hearts}~ through an embossing folder and then painting it with acrylic paint. Once that was dry, I painted a thin layer of acrylic paint onto an acrylic block and 'stamped' the paint onto the heart. This way only the raised part gets coloured.

Next I took a ~{Butterfly Mini}~ and cut it in half then cut the body parts off. This has been painted with acrylic paint and then doodled on.

I dipped the card blank into some watery in and when this was dry, ink through random hearts from the ~{Heart Background Mask}~.

Anything goes with Irit : The journey of your life

 Hello my dear crafty friends!
Welcome to our Anything goes week and this time it's a layout I want to share with you.
This is my lovely daughter that loves to travel. But  the meaning of this page is her life voyage.
She  on her second and final year of 7 years accounting study.(3 years in college, two years of postgraduate study and 2 years of internship to get the bar licence and it's just money we are talking, not human lives... BTW) and in May 19 she is going to be married to the love of her life.
So this Mixed Media page is for you, my dear Ortal!
I used Tando Sequin Waste  mask all over this page; added some texture with bottle/ jar caps stamping and made a part of the photo matting with Tando new released  chipboard background.
Actually I just used a part of it and kept the other piece for the next project (you need to be frugal those days).I also used the inside chipboard circles over the page: painted in black and dotted with white pen.Great add- ons for no cost!

I made this canvas for a male friends 50th birthday towards the end of last year...

painted with an ombre effect

This is what it looked like unpainted, which I quite like also...

painted plain white before ombre effect added

For the background of the canvas I used texture paste and two Tando masks - Diamond Circles and Stripes.

Anything Goes Week with Dawn - Home Sweet Home

Hello Everyone,

hope you are all well?

I decided to have a play with the lovely large home sweet home plaque for this weeks theme.

I stamped the base with a text stamp before painting to add some texture. This was then stenciled with tornado using metallic ink direct from the ink-pad through the stencil. The other plaque elements were decorated to coordinate, some being randomly stamped and clear embossed, others being left plain.

Here is what I used........

Both of these items and much much more can be found on the Tando Retail Site.

If you fancy joining in with any of this months themes please add your work through the link at the top of the page to be in with a chance of winning a prize in the February Challenge.

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to our Cover with paper week.
This week I decided to pick the relatively big chipboards  to make the paper coverage easy.

So  here is my small wall deco made with Tando delicious Tea and coffee cups. I covered them with patterned paper, heat embossed the edges with gold powder and then stamped those gold sentiments.

Easy to make project- and very fancy one too. Hope you liked it!

Covering with paper again!

Hello Peeps,

Lol how lucky am I to have been asked to join the amazing DT here, hopefully I will be able to do them all proud.

It's a brilliant excuse to kick-start my crafting hobby again so I am incredibly grateful to Di and the team.

My first DT piece was to cover something in paper so I chose to go with a frame and use a picture of my loopy children to go in it!!!!!

I used the 6x6 frame and covered the front element in scrapbook paper from my stash, this was then edged with craft paint and coated with gloss multi-medium to seal it.
The back element and stand were also painted in a coordinating colour. I also took some pieces from the mini hearts bag and the small mixed swirls bag and painted them in coordinating colours to embellish the frame.

Here is what I used, all can be found on the Tando retail site..........

Many thanks for popping by and leaving a comment if you feel you would like to.

If you fancy having a go at anything showcased on the Tando blog this month you will find a link at the top of the Tando blog to add your work to be in with a chance of a prize in the monthly draw.

Covering with paper!

Hello, its Karen here kicking off our 'use paper' week.  I have made a little scene for my contribution.

The little *HOUSE* is just over 2inches square and soooo cute!  I have covered it with pretty papers and the roof with scrunched up tissue paper.

The pretty *CURLY TREE* has been covered with scrunched up tissue paper.  It may sound fiddly to do this, and it is a bit, but its worth it for the lovely texture that you get!

I added some light colour with Tombow Pens and a few painted Tando Hearts.

If you like the idea of using paper on our products then do enter our challenge where we give you the chance to play along with us each week!  There is a prize draw at the end of the month.  Add a link to your work *HERE*

Thank you for looking today, hugs, Karen xxx
